our room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed and on the coldest weekend of the year, it was warm.
we were disappointed with the breakfast, as we could not have this before 10am. Also, my husband felt the 'full English breakfast' was meagre and they had no breakfast cereal. I enjoyed the scrambled egg on toast, but at £6.95 thought it
a bit pricey. The pub bar and lounge could certainly do with a make over. The staff

3.7
Lovely place and very charming
Nothing to dislike here.
3.7
No choice really at breakfast but it was beautifully cooked.
Our downstairs room looked out over the pub garden which wasn’t too bad noise wise but no net curtain for privacy so had to close the top curtains which made the room dark so needed the light on

The room was clean and spacious.breakfast on line said£5 but I was charged £6.95 each. It was still good value though.
The accommodation could do with a bit of updating, but on the whole it was fine.

exactly what we needed! beautiful area and nice little pub. don’t expect the ritz for the price!
bed was a little harder than I’m used too but that’s personal preference! staff were hard to find during the day but didn’t affect the stay.

gorgeous location, pretty village, looked good online
Bedroom was dated, ragged couch dirty bathroom. stairs perpendicular. The whole accommodation block looked abandoned and unclean. Mould coated the shower. Unfortunately absolutely unpleasant. The mattress was lumpy and soft the pillows old. I would stay here again!

and nice staff
all good

welcome and accommodating staff. clean. well stocked bar with good prices. bedroom basic but clean and comfortable.
no food served on Friday evening - kitchen closed! food van in car park! manager came in on Saturday morning and cooked us (8) people a breakfast and said first time done breakfast in 3 months!! lovely lady though.

The room was basic but warm and comfortable.
The staff were all friendly and polite and there was excellent 'pub' food available at lunch and dinner.
The village location was pretty with good road links to Ely.
There was never a problem parking, which was free and there was free Wi-fi in room.
The rooms were clean and some minor issues in room (eg blown bulb) were sorted at speed.
Due to circumstances being their control, no- one was available to cook breakfasts throughout stay and nothing else was provided at all apart from some crockery to do our own thing in the room. This was a big disappointment.
The church next door had bells. Good to keep track of time through the night, but could have done without the bell ringing practice going on so long. (Not down to the hotel but they do affect their guests.)
Noisy party on Saturday night was acceptable, given it was an inn, but we expected the loud music would stop after 11pm but it went on later.
Spent some time in the bar on a couple of occasions and during one lunchtime we were subjected to listening to plenty of the foulest language at volume from a group we suspected were regulars. Despite notices to the contrary, no attempt was made to get them to moderate their language or leave.

Clean, tidy, courteous service and staff.
Good ale too!
We both had a good night's sleep as well.
We were told there was no chef available for breakfast so we had cold pizza we had saved from the day before, apart from that everything was great.
3.7
The location was brilliant and the lady who showed us round was friendly.
No lighting on the pathway outside. Rolled my ankle walking back at night in the pitch dark. I would sue for medical if I wasn't visiting from overseas. The toilets are tiny and the shower is only half covered by glass so the floor gets wet whilst you wash.
3.7
Th location was perfect for us as we were having Christmas at our daughters 6 miles away. They also allow dogs which is what we needed. With off road parking and a very quiet location it ticked all our boxes.

very close to the area we wanted to be in, were able to check in early with no issue, simple but comfortable room
a light in the room wasn’t working & hair dryer quite old & dusty
3.7
The room was fine nice and quiet. The dinner the first night was excellent. The shower was great as we both have mobility issues. We liked hearing the church clock chiming the hours. the room was tidied while we were out.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as between 7-8 am was far to early for us as we are senior citizens. Although the room was nice the bed my partner slept in was extremely squeaky so much so that she had a dreadful nights sleep on the first night and the other two nights were affected as well
3.7
It's was close to where I wanted to go
The price of the rooms and had to pay extra for breakfast. Noise of kitchen extraction fans by the room
3.7
