Cool location, lack of quality, comfort and hygiene

Stunning surrounding gardens/jungle, close to beach and far nicer hotels for meals/activities, bedroom view

Unhygienic and uncomfortable bathroom, bed/bedding and towels, lack of safety with room. air con not great, rooms generally require huge upgrades and care. Strange timings for pool. Staff could have been more friendly.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Really nice design and decor. We liked the esthetic of this hotel. Smart tv was great add on for the kids! Terrace was relaxing. Pool was great - I only wish it was open after 19:00. Walking distance to beautiful beach and nice beach restaurants

The aircon took a while to cool down the room

Für Ruhe suchende perfekt

Super freundliches Personal, toller Pool und tolle Liegen, Frühstück für thailändische Verhältnisse okay, Zimmer hübsch, Wasserdruck der Dusche könnte besser sein, kleines Dörfchen, 5-10 min zum Strand.. alles was man braucht vorhanden, wer Ruhe sucht ist hier richtig. Alles in Allem eine schöne Anlage, man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein aufgrund der vielen Stufen.

Unser Zimmer wurde in den 4 Tagen nicht einmal gereinigt. Zum Zeitpunkt als das Zimmermädchen kommen wollte, hat unsere Tochter gerade geschlafen. Dann wurden einfach frisches Wasser und Toilettenpapier vor die Türe gestellt und fertig. Handtücher mussten wir uns selbst organisieren. Viele der Handtücher sind bereits „zerfetzt“ und sollten ersetzt werden. Die Treppen in der Unterkunft und runter auf die Terrasse sind sehr steil und ohne Geländer. Viele Moskitos auf der Terrasse weshalb wir diese nicht genutzt haben. Aber dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts.

Modernes Zimmer, Poolbereich, schöne Anlage, einer der schönsten Strände der Insel in 10 min zu Fuß erreichbar, Motorbike können gemietet werden

Nicht so viel Stauraum im Zimmer fürs Gepäck, könnte mehr Haken etc. an den Wänden geben

Amazing stay at this gem!

What an incredible property. The location is ideal. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The villa was gorgeous. The pool is breathtaking at sunset and the water was very refreshing. They have showers at the pool to wash off the chlorine which was great. The restaurant next to the pool has good food for a reasonable price. The wifi was strong. The AC worked very well.

Our only issue was with the shower in our villa. It’s the only bad thing I have to say. There was no pressure and rarely any hot water which made showers for a woman with long thick hair kind of a bad experience.

for those have kids with stroller is very hard. because the room located at hill.. so u neeed to climb up and the pathway cant use stroller..

Fabulous hotel that I would definitely recommend

The staff were absolutely incredible, which genuinely made such a difference. The food was also great, with absolutely sensational views. The pool was also brilliant and the moped rental is also so helpful. The room service was also excellent!

The lighting at night on the path was not great, and also the monkeys that ate our AirPods were not ideal however it’s not the hotels fault!!

Very good

Really enjoyed it here. The location is quiet with some nice restaurants locally. Great place if you want some time to relax. Rooms were very large and a nice layout for our family with the 2 bedroom villa

Beyond breakfast there was no food or drinks near the pool or rooms which was slightly inconvenient but think we were there at the tail end of the busy season as the resort was not very busy

A couple of honest travellers

The rooms themselves are amazing, so quirky. Beds were fairly comfortable. Hammock underneath was a nice little touch

The room wasn't that clean, sinks, mirror and toilet was dirty, our shower head was broken which we managed with (unfortunately on the last night the showerhead fell and broke the showergel dispenser and the staff tried to charge us 400 baht! that was abit of a downer, as we felt like everything else up to that point had been fine) i explained the showerhead needed fixing and eventually they were ok with that.

Awesome staff and design

The hotel is overall amazing, very spacious room, great design and cool patio with hammock. Also, the staff is amazing, very helpful and friendly. They helped me to change a room with better view, arranged my trips to different locations and helped to request a covid test (requirement for China). I think staff if one of the main positive feature of this hotel.

The only negative thing I need to comment on is showers. The owner need to consider changing shower heads and taps completely, together with full scare repair of shower and toilet area as they really spoiling an image of the hotel. During my stay I had or very hot, or very cold water in shower, which is definitely not fit the prize per night at Alama. Some hostels have showers better.

A must stay when on the island. Excellent 10/10

Lovely place, great size rooms. Nice pool with a little view. Staff where awesome. Cant speak highly enough of them. Helped me out in a sticky situation, i manaaged to sort it and they refunded me my money straight away. A must stay if on the island. 10/10

Breakfast- I have come to the conclusion that thailand as a whole struggle with English/American breakfast. So i cant put the fault on the resort, the fact they simply cant get the same sausage and bacon we eat back home.

peaceful and relaxing

location is excellent. easy walk to 7-11, restaurants and the beach. the pool was refreshing and breakfasts were excellent.

although the rooms are nonsmoking you are allowed to smoke on your balcony. we had chain smokers next door so we weren’t really able to enjoy or use the balcony.

Great location, so peaceful and so green. The way all the cabins are laid out offers great privacy. Staff are so attentive and thoroughly clean the cabin everyday. Amazing pool with stunning view. The resort offers bike rental also. Highly recommend this resort. It is a 2-3 min walk to a stunning beach which is peaceful and not busy. Lovely restaurant on the beach where they do a BBQ on the beach with lovely selection of fresh fish. doubles up as a bar and there are fire shows in the evenings. .

A gem!

Such a wonderful resort! The staff is lovely, the pool is beautiful and the views are amazing! We had the highest bungalow with two bedrooms, felt like sleeping in a birds nest with unlimited view of Kantiang bay just below.

Good stay with family.

Great family room with 2 separate rooms, one with a lovely view. Beautiful pool good for swimming. just a very short walk from the beach. Girls on reception were very friendly and organised car rental for us and they also organise many trips. enjoyed Kantiang bay and village.

Not enough Sun loungers and umbrellas by the pool. There is plenty of space to add more.

Really good value for money and great place to stay for a couple of nights

Lovely pool, rooms very luxurious, good sandwiches around the pool, lots of nature. It felt like a special treat staying here and for a very good price. They put a pretty towel arrangement in our room to celebrate our honeymoon which was very kind.

There was complications with our pick up from the pier which made it a stressful arrival and meant we had to get a cab ourselves which was 700 baht but they did give us a lift to our next stay to make up for it. Wasn’t the cleanest room we ever stayed in, dusty cobwebs in the shower etc but wasn’t the worst. Area is very quiet with only a couple of restaurants but Why Not beach is very pretty and Aqua Barn on the beach does the best cocktails we’ve ever had! Beach during the day isn’t very comfortable, we stayed round the pool.

Nice quiet location. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very comfortable room.

The hotel is on a hill so there are a lot of steps which would be a problem if you had mobility issues.

pool was nice, 250 baht per day to rent a scooter which is advisable for sure as you are a bit out of the main area. 5 minute walk to the beach

not much, we stayed in a suite with a garden view so didn’t have the steps to walk up, however rooms with a view involved a lot of steps. same to get to the pool area.. about a 15 minute scooter journey to the main area of Koh lanta
