convenient for Glynbourne
Needs some TLC. Not as clean as one would expect.
Entrance area littered with old tissues and disposable cutlery which had obviously been there some time. Garden untidy.

Cute location. Kids bedroom is the upstairs room and it feels like they are at the “top of the castle” in their words. Whole property has a cottage vibe which we loved.
Love the stable door. Cute confined back garden off the main bedroom.
Beds were very comfy. Shower was fab and there was a cute welcome basket style of tea, milk, cookies for the family which was a nice touch.
Owners were also amazing with contact and helping us when we couldn’t initially find the property.
Wardrobe in upstairs room was broken and Booking.com directions are incorrect so had to contact owners who were super lovely and gave us the right post code etc.

Our host was nice and friendly. The cottage was located in a beautiful area and was peaceful.
The location was ideal for visiting family who lived near by in Newhaven.
The cottage had a single bathroom with toilet and shower. The cleaner may need some supervision in this area. The shower track was gruesome! We found the toilet and dool had the remains of other people's hair, not from the head. I cleaned it well before use. I was too embarrassed for the host as she pays a cleaner!!
The bed is OK for couple of nights but uncomfortable for a long stay.
We were also asked to pay an extra 50 pounds towards heating for the duration of our stay. My husband was irritated as we were not told of this when booking.

The front of the property looked lovely and there was ample on road parking. The kitchen had everything we needed, a fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, dishwasher, microwave, oven and a hob. The sofas were comfy and leather which is good that we have dogs. The welcome pack was OK and had some biscuits, tea and coffee and milk. The main bedroom is downstairs which was nice with doors opening to the garden. Upstairs were two twin beds. It had a baby gate which was useful. A lot of people have complained about the road noise, but it didn't overly bother us to be honest. Yes the property is behind a main road but the surroundings in front are lovely. Being winter we didn't sit outside so didn't bother us too much. The garden is dog safe.
The cleanliness of the property was not great. The bathroom has black mould around the whole bottom rim of the shower screen/door and then all over the wall and floor between the sink and shower. There was an empty bottle of hand-wash in the bathroom and nothing else to use. For some reason there was a manky old sock hanging over our bedroom door. The sofas were comfy, but I was sitting in the arm chair and went to pick something up that i had dropped down the side of the chair and there was so much crud and rubbish around the seat cushion. There was even a set of nail clippers (amongst lots of other nasties). The stairs and upstairs carpet need a good clean.
It was comfortable enough and good for the dogs but I would not stay for more than one/two nights and not again. It needs a thorough clean and some love.

Compact, convenient, comfortable. Good base for exploring & walking in South Downs. Good road access.
Rather near a busy roundabout. Advertised on website as 'Rodmell' - in fact its in Beddingham, approx 9 miles away.

Interesting space. Very good for our small dog - including enclosed garden. Nice quiet setting ( although nearby main road was a bit noisy at night). Pretty well equipt. Cosy and warm. Good price for x4 people.
Towels were small. Welcome pack and essentials such as salt and pepper and handwash could have been better. No cafetiere. Better directions needed as sat Nav takes you to another nearby setting.
Although check in and out times had been adjusted due to Covid seemed harsh to have late check in AND early departure time - one or the other should have sufficed for extra cleaning time.

A pleasant little cottage equipped with essentials. Minimal communication needed with host - no problem checking in & welcome pack much appreciated! Beds comfy & very clean.
A very busy road close by but nothing can be done about that - traffic noise not intrusive when inside the cottage. Television is a bit small but again not really a problem unless you intend to watch it a lot!
