Very good location, great sea view. The house is clean and has everything you need to live. Very hospitable Giuliana, advised an excellent restaurant, boat rental and many other interesting places. We were very happy to live in this place.
there was nothing to dislike 😀
5.0 / 10.0
The house was spacious and relatively close to the beach.
The property is really hard to find and the roads around it are not in very good condition. There is no sign of name for the property so we passed it twice. This is not a beachfront house it is a 15 minute walk down hill and across a busy road. The charge for the sheets and towels is ridiculous and we were 4 people but only two beds were made up. When we asked for more sheets we were told we would have to pay more even though we had already paid €48 for the ones we were given!! The WiFi is poor and there is only air conditioning in the living room. There was one toilet roll provided and nothing else. As soon as we arrived the host tried to sell us boat trips ans restaurant bookings, the last thing we needed after struggling to find the property. We left after two nights and moved to a hotel in the port. The photos of the location are misleading also.

No breakfast
We arrived late around 11pm, Giuliana was waiting for us but we called her from the way. It was the end of March and there was cold nights. The house was really cold, the windows was open. Giuliana charged us for late arrival, for towels and sheets. The towels was old and bad smells. Was a frozen house, we couldn't get even 16 degrees days or nights. We had to wash the towels by hand because the washing machine was looking horrible like you can see in pictures. There was no cleaning and no towels changed any day. All dishes in the kitchen was greasy and there was no sponge or liquid to clean them, we had to buy everything. The window up to the door was missing and we had to cover it with a blanket. One night around 10pm we was already in bed because the house was so cold, she came to take our tv and replaced it with a smaller one,
she said her father needs the bigger one. Very noisy every day starting early in the morning because there was workers to other houses. We asked Giuliana to provide one more toilet paper and she told us that we have allowed only one per stay.We had 8 days to stay but we left after 6 days because my husband got chest infection. When we arrived home we called ambulance and my husband stayed 6 days in hospital and he got antibiotics 2 weeks. The only good thing was the nice view from the kitchen to the golf. The house is on the top of a hill so you need a car to get the location. This was the worst holiday ever.

The location of Blunda was ideal for us. It is a fair walk into Castellammare del Golfo but was good to walk off dinner. It was also good to have some outdoor space
We had a few problems with the accommodation. The main one was not having linen on all the beds. We had hired for 4 people and part of the reason for choosing this accommodation was so we would each individual get a bed. Only 2 double beds were made up. We asked several times for linen and kept getting excuses on why it wasn't possible and finally, after 4 days we just bought out own. It also get cold at night and there were no extra blankets and only one air con unit to heat the whole place so extra blankets would have been good.
Like other people have said, there is nothing in the house to clean with so have to buy all of that (bin bags, washing cloth, washing up liquid) which is such a waste and no brush or vacuum to clean the floors while we stayed there. Normally as well there is left over items from other peoples stays (salt, pepper, olive oil etc) but nothing like that either so all had to be bought. Also no kettle, so making a cup of tea in the morning was a bit more challenging and no sharp knives so cutting bread was a challenge.
Finally, the owner wasnt reliable. The gas ran out on the first morning we stayed there and had to chase to get that changed, the linen never did get changed and we stopped chasing that as we got bored of the excuse and on the day of leaving they were 45 mins late for the final inspection to get a deposit back.
It's a shame. A few tweaks here and there and the accommodation would be fine. It's basic but would be all that we needed to enjoy the holiday. As it was we decided to leave a day early and enjoy lovely accomodation in Palermo instead.

the location is amazing, beautiful view over the sea!
The accomodation is a bit rustic but everything you need is there.

Super locations, super host. Everything was superlative; the kindness of the hostess, the conditions, the position of the house. Thank you very much and I will come back! I strongly recommend, 1000%!
No objections! Miss Giuliana was TOP! Better than that..it couldn't be. Thank you very much Giuliana. See you.

The view from the house is great. Onwers are lovely and super kind.
Its hard to keep house clean, if there is no clean products like dish sponge and gel. If you have no car, road to house is an experience.

In our opinion Castellammare del Golfo is not only a city with the soul, atmopshosphere and very friendly Sicilians but
it also serves as the great basis to explore western Sicily and its pearls like: Erice, Mazzara del Vallo, Segesta and many others.
If you like fresh sea food, this is again the place for you - with many fish shops where you can buy freshly caught fishes and practice your Italian as well:)
Alternatively you can drive 30 minutes to Trapani to buy fresh fishes directly from the boat.
From house we had wonderful view on the see and sourrandings equipped in palms, olive treas and cactuses but this is not the end!
If someone loves nature, as we do, in the neighborhood donkey and horses could be heard (silently).
In addition, just below the house is sandy beach with lovely view on the mountains.
Owners of the house, Igancio and Gulianna, are very helpful and care very much for their guests. Whenever we needed the support,
we received it together with local tips.
We are looking forward to rent this house again.
@Ignacio, Guilianna- Grazie mille per la vostra ospitalità! È stato un piacere essere vostri ospiti:)

We really liked the location because it’s in a private property and not too close to the street which makes it really peaceful
There were some confusion about the payment and the fact that we couldn’t modify anything was a little upsetting

Location was good, view was fantastic and also the privacy around the house.
Gate to enter, it made you feel safe. No traffic around.
Could be more toilet paper, wifi worked only for the first two days.
It is close to the beach but walking on the main road without pavement, which isn't fun with kids.

The old town is close by. All was amazing!
