The staff are excellent and would do anything to help make your stay more comfortable. Lovely bar and very reasonable prices. Very good choice of international dishes
No tea or coffee making facilities but you can go downstairs and make your own to take to your room

Big and comfortable rooms, very nice garden, good breakfast, good organization, nice area. There is the charm of the big hotels of 70's and 80's.
It's a hotel that needs a small renovation (bathroom, our bed was too noisy).

Location is great.
Doors are very thin - you can hear every little noise outside. Was very hard to sleep.
Breakfast is a bit dull.
There are better options available.

Stayed for one night only before safari. The hotel sign by the road is old and run down. That made us a little worried at first :) But the hotel is nice. Friendly staff, nice room, comfy bed, very good water pressure and water temperature.
The bathtub could have been cleaner

The location, the property, and the staff were all excellent,
Everything was good till the last day I met the GM. Quite unprofessional, the property can do wonders if a good management is there to overlook the property and knows how to handle the guest.

Very friendly staff. Nice location. Beautiful garden.
The whole hotel needs a complete makeover. Bathroom floor was always wet and in general didnt seem very clean. Room needs makeover + more light. If owner invest in modernizing the place it can become extremely nice.
Breakfast was not impressive. Could maybe make a bit more interesting.

Location and the great Indian food - with no long waiting
Hotel needs a big facelift, no AC and the walls are very thin. One can hear everything going on all around the hotel.

Location, staff is mostly friendly, nice little garden outside the breakfast area, 24h reception.
Breakfast is extremely poor and low quality. It's miles away from what's advertised on Booking.com. All amenities are very old. The building was built more than 60 years ago and hasn't been maintained since the early days. Only a small fraction of the rooms is habitable, and even they are falling apart. Mosquitoe nets are not in every room, so you've got to be careful. The bathroom sink was blocked, and the deposit box in the room was locked without a hope to open and use it. A fan in the room didn't work. The extension lead was damaged and dangerous to use. There were no plugs at the bedside. The walls are paper-thin and do not provide any soundproofing. The staff doesn't know better than to talk loudly and shout at any time, inside the hotel and outside in the garden. Quiet hours don't exist at the hotel.
The price on the list was $68 for two nights without taxes. After booking, the price increased to $77, again without taxes, without any explanation. Moreover, on arrival, the reception told that if I want to pay by card, then I have to add 5 percent on top of the total price because their bank is charging them for transactions. It goes against booking.com policies and is actually illegal in Tanzania.

Location and the hospitality of the staffs.
The property needs urgent refurbishment or massive face-lift. The charges are too high for the state of this facility.
