good location

close to the hot springs, shop and gas station. kitchen was nice. sink on the room and decent sized room

beds and pillows not very comfortable ( common in all places we stayed)

Sauberes Gästehaus in guter Lage

Sauberes und freundliches Gästehaus in guter Lage. Gute Küche mit Kochmöglichkeiten und allem was man braucht. Checken bestens organisiert.

Wir hatten ein downgrade auf ein kleineres und einfacheres Zimmer ohne irgendeine Kompensation. Das über booking.com gebuchte war im Nachbargebäude und belegt. Die Küche lag am einen Ende des Ganges mit allen Zimmern, und der Aufenthalts-Essraum genau gegenüber auf der anderen Seite. Man läuft also mehrmals an allen Zimmern vorbei, wenn man etwas holen möchte. Das stört die Gäste die früh schlafen wollen.

The breakfast was excellent and the location is perfect if you're planning to visit Mývatn Nature Baths which is just a few minutes away by car.

Check-in is only from 17:00 so if you arrive earlier you might have to wait. Luckily we were able to enter our room a bit earlier as it was already prepared and cleaned.

Très bien pour cet hôtel ! (Moins bien pour les gens avec qui nous l’avons partagé)

Nous apprécions les Guesthouse de ce type. L’accueil était très bien !

Rien à voir avec l’hôtel ! Dans ce type de logement une petite maison est partagée avec d’autres personnes. Et cette fois nous n’avons pas eu de chance ! Les personnes avec qui nous partagions le logement avaient un sérieux problèmes de respect. Ils ont fait énormément de bruit tout au long de la soirée et de la nuit.

Great location for exploring Myvatn and Katla- good value

Fabulous location for walking to some of the sights near the lake and for exploring locally by car. The baths nearby is an added plus. Lovely room, clean, spacious and comfortable. Great kitchen facilities and dining in shared space with a couple of other rooms. This made it really good value too if your budget in Iceland is tight. Good showers etc.

Rooms were very small for 2 people. please put some hooks in the rooms. The guesthouse can’t control the guests but the guests have to learn how to respect other people’s space and be considerate!

Great stay in Myvatn!

The room was big as well as the bed which was also very comfortable, I liked the pillows and the bedding. There was a desk in the room, a shelf and a sink. WiFi was working great. The common kitchen seemed nice and clean, but I did not use it. Bathroom and toilets were clean. I arrived before check-in time and although I could not go into my room yet, I could stay in the common area (where they also serve breakfast) and use the supplies there. When I asked for help at the reception, they were helpful and nice. The location is great, close to the lake and geothermal area.

When I arrived there was a lot of snow which made parking a bit difficult - not their fault! Still the parking directly in front of the building was a bit narrow, but managable.

Convenient comfortable guesthouse with full breakfast near all the amazing Myvatn sites.

Great location, comfortable rooms, nice breakfasts.

A bit larger than other guesthouses we stayed at- so a bit more traffic during breakfast.

This is a hostel, not a guest house

The breakfast was really good. And the location is great.

This felt more like a hostel than a guesthouse. They don't let you check in until after 5 pm and then we had to check out by 10 am. The staff seemed young and inexperienced and weren't good communicators when we checked in as to which room was ours and how things operate there. After guests cooked in the kitchen outside our room it stank. The bathroom floors were dirty and it just had a run down feel to everything. For the experience, the price was too high.
