Home away from home

Very clean and comfortable, good mattress, very helpful staff, hot water available in the bathroom, room heater provided for our request. Beautiful view from the room, and also dining area. They helped us to find a good driver. It's totally worth the price. We don't feel like a hotel, for us that's home.

Friendly hosts, good location. Room a bit basic.

The host was very nice and helpful. They greet you with a yummy hot tea. The room had a beautiful view from large windows, and a balcony. There is also a great view from upstairs if you want to have breakfast.

I will start by saying that this is a decent value for the money. Nuwara Eliya seems to be more expensive for lodging than other areas in Sri Lanka. So your money doesn’t go as far. That said, the room was pretty basic. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom. The bathroom in general was not great, a bit dingy. The hot water in the shower only lasted a few minutes. Also, there is no mosquito net so we got bit at night. Thus, we didn’t sleep great. The bed was not very comfortable. Actually shorter than a standard bed, would be a problem if you are tall. There were no chairs or a table on the balcony, so while it was pretty it wasn’t very usable. Finally, one night the people who live downstairs stayed up playing guitar and singing loudly until 1am. I like that they were having a good time playing music, but there should be an agreement with the hotel to have quiet hours after 10pm.

Gute Lage, Zimmer feucht und muffig

Die Lage war super. Das Personal freundlich, die Betten bequem. Latex Check Out war nach Anfrage des Besitzers möglich,um meine Tochter zum Mittagschlaf hinzulegen,was entgegenkommend war.

Es hat im Zimmer reingeregnet. Es roch muffig und das ganze Bad inklusive Eingangsbereich zum Bad waren nass. Meine Tochter war auch ausgerutscht.

Great Stay

Really nice and cozy place, with friendly hosts. The location was a bit away from the hustle and bustle with a relaxing laid-back atmosphere. You could just take an enjoyable walk to the Victoria Park from the hotel. Highly recommended!

There is nothing special to say about the hotel even it cannot rate as 3 Start

I den't take breakfast from the hotel is very expensive. But they provide bed tea is very tasty. The staff is very friendly 😊 special Mr Adrian is very helpf

The bathroom hot water system is not working properly. Should must have heater to operate from inside the bathroom, and the room I got in 2nd floor is very difficult to get in staircase there should be a lift or must information to the guest before they booked. My wife is very upset when she showed the staircase, even I don't expect like that.

A brilliant stay!

The location of the hotel is slightly away from the main strip which means it has beautiful Mountain views and feels really relaxing. We wasn’t sure whether to stop in Nuwara Eliya but we loved the area and this hotel so deffinitly was worthwhile! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay even better. The beds were the comfiest we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka and we had a great nights sleep We recommend to try food and drink at Themparadu which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Great :)

The room was clean and comfortable. you had a nice view. the staff there was super nice. they were very friendly and caring. they helped us get tuk tuks. the checkout was flexible and they even drove us to the train station because the tuk tuk didn’t arrive on time. we would absolutely recommend that place, especially because of the nice staff there.

Simple and comfortable stay in a very convenient location

Staying at Thilina Hotel felt like staying at your cousin's place! The staff was very friendly and supportive and really made an extra effort to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was great and the location is very convenient and close to Lake Gregory. Prashanth, the manager of the hotel even supported us with finding transport to get around.

The additional bed in the triple room was small and not very comfortable, that's the only thing I'd recommend for improvement.

Overall its great deal, recommnded!

Very modern room, the bed and furniture are quite fresh. Good hot water pressure. The temperature inside the room in the night is comfy, we didn't have ask for an extra blankets ar heater.

Location is a bit far from the Post office (center of the town), but in case you got a car or tuk-tuk its ok. You might not like the road noise, but we found it very moderate so its doesn't bother us at all.

Hot water was excellent. Room was great for the price. They have room heaters for additional charge if you like. Staff was friendly and supportive.
