Clean, good breakfeast
Parking is a problem, i had room two, a small double bed, a workshop that is unpracticale, and there are no plugs to use. When you sit on the couch, you can see tv. The shower is an extremely small space in a bath, and the toilet is that you lotterly have to sit in the center because it is squeezed in a corner. The security lght on the outsie of the room shine streight into the room. Wifi does not work in room 2, although the owners said they are going to fix it.

The room is comfortable, air-conditioning works well and there is a tea/coffee station. Nice bathroom and plenty of fresh towels.
I didn't enjoy the cigarette smoke wafting through my bedroom window or door every morning. Parking was an issue as there was a private function being held on day one, and when I left on day two I had been parked in and battled to leave. I also asked that my room not be serviced (for covid), and placed the sign on the door, and yet someone still went in and serviced.

The location was awesome, James and his team were absolutely fantastic amd the breakfasts were good. We will definitely be back.
Little bit of maintenance needed on wooden counter tops and cupboards in bedroom.

Loved this place to bits, tranquil, and very refreshing.. the view is to die for, with the bonus of falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.
Friendly staff and the place is extremely clean. I enjoyed the beach walks and braai area the most! Definitely worth revisiting.. Great value for money

The guesthouse is close to the beach. James was welcoming and hospitable.
I moved from my sea-facing room to one without a view to escape the shouting of the raucous neighbours. Apparently the cops were called and a few of them arrested at 1am.
3.0
James is the perfect host, going out of his way to accommodate guests.
Establishment is old, plastic basin and shower in bath. Toiletries were half a bottle of male shower gel, nothing else.
3.5
The location is truly amazing with a short private path to the beach. The proprietor goes to great lengths to ensure your comfort and is very friendly.
The smell of smoking from the downstairs area drifts into the room. I have a strong aversion to smoke.
My room (3) was perfectly fine but the ensuite bathroom is very dated. The one bathroom shown online is quite wow and somewhat misleading if this (or something vaguely similar) is what you are expecting in all the rooms.

the welcoming familiar charme and atmosphere of the place. James is such a great host and super helpful (e.g. contacting organizations for tours, helping with bookings and much more). they really make you feel like a part of the family. Whenever I’m in Durban again I will 100% only stay here. The place itself is amazing, too. Clean, nicely located directly at the beach, beautiful pool, etc.
