Ein toller Start in den Urlaub dort für uns!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und freundlich empfangen, schön waren die vielen Katzen und Hunde und vor allem die Waranfamilie, die man am Kanal vom Balkon aus beobachten konnte-was für eine tolle Überraschung! Es war ruhig, obwohl zentral gelegen. Das Bistro in der Nähe (zugehörig zum Hotel) ist absolut empfehlenswert für traditionelle Küche-top!

La piscine et le personnel, on sent aussi que la piscine fait beaucoup dans ce logement

La salle de bain est dans un état... Avec la moisissure, l'odeur d'humidité et l'eau de la douche qui sort tiède... J'avoue que je m'attendais à mieux, le rapport qualité prix n'est pas super. C'est la piscine qui doit changer la donne mais on a eu de la pluie

Perfect stay!

Villa Kapuru is really a lovely hotel and a perfect place to rest and relax for your first stay in Sri Lanka after you have arrived from the aiport. The room are spacious and clean . Nice bathroom. The pool is not big but really nice. You are in town but it feels you are in the middle of nature with all the palm trees, and the garden at the back with lots of birds singing. Negombo beach is just a ten minutes stroll. The breakfast was tasty, and the service great. The the two owners are really helpful and kind. The best thing for us were the fifteen very sweet cats, all rescued from the streets by one of the owners. If you are a cat lover this is the place to be but also otherwise just great. We are planning on staying again on our way back.

Super nice stay!

Such a nice owner, takes really good care of neglected cats and dogs that now live in the hotel but are in no way in your way, really keep to themselves. Nice pool, nice warm shower, absolutely the best breakfast I have had so far!!

Ask advice regarding airport transport and beware of regular taxis because they charge a lot!

Fantastic stay just about perfect

Staff were fantastic . Friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area and things to do . Always ready to help. Breakfast was lovely and the pool area is great The owner rescues animals as well and all of them were so placid and lovely a real treat

Good value for money, but a bit run-down

We had our last night in Sri Lanka here, and generally it was a good value for money deal, with the room and breakfast being good.

The outdoor area was a bit unclean and run-down at daylight and although we have read about the many cats, we were a bit annoyed but the sheer number of them and some of them looked also quite poorly

A peaceful oasis in Negombo

We stayed here at the end of our trip having also stayed at the beginning, because we loved the place so much. The owners are such lovely people. if you like cats and like to relax in a quiet place in a location only a short distance from the airport then this place is perfect. The breakfast is delicious and they also have opened a restaurant nearby where the food is amazing. The swimming pool is nice and clean and they also can arrange massages and spa treatments nearby which we really enjoyed.

nothing, it is perfect as an introduction to Sri Lanka of as a place to relax before going home.

Perfect stay

When we arrived here it immediately felt good. Such a lovely place. It actually looks even better than the pictures. The owners are so friendly and have also a good restaurant in town that you should try out! It is al clean and nice corners to sit and a pool. Breakfast was also good and big portion. We are definitely coming back soon.

Decent price and living experience!

Quiet area and beautiful/cozy rooms with many cats around.

1. No phone in the room. 2. Not able to find the staff sometimes. 3. Many mosquitoes. 4. The fan level of the A/C in our room is not able to adjust (which stays at maximum all the time and it's loud).

This is now my "go to" place to stay whenever I am in Negombo, so that should tell you everything! I stayed here both at the start and at the end of my holiday. The hosts are wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay a positive experience. The location is really quiet yet only a few minutes walk away from Beach Road and the beach itself. The pool is crystal clear and the breakfast is excellent. If you need any local information or help with onward transportation then don't hesitate to ask them to arrange it - the drivers they use are really reliable and offer very good rates. The driver they found to take me down to Tangalle and then to pick me up from Polhena Beach and bring me back to Negombo was wonderful - he even called ahead to my guest house in Polhena to confirm his arrival time! An added bonus for many will be the gorgeous cats that the owners have rescued - they are incredibly well looked-after, well-behaved and unobtrusive, but they won't say no to being petted if you feel so inclined :-) If you are looking for a great dining experience while in Negombo the owners how have a restaurant - Centella Bistro - on Beach Road, about 15 minutes walk away and the food is really good! I ate there twice and was not disappointed.

We love everything here. It’s lovier than what the photo shown. A great place to chill out. Super calm and relaxing. We could just spend whole day here enjoying my time. The room is well maintained, clean and cozy. Staffs are kind and helpful. breakfast is nice. The swimming pool is friendly to me who just learnt to swim. Location is also great. 5mins walk to the beach side. lots of restaurants there. The owner’s rescued many cats and dogs. There are around 10cats and 2 dogs now. They are all very well taken care of and are friendly. You won’t disappointed if you choose here. Give it a try. We definitely will come back if we come to Negambo again.

The rooms are of western standard and very clean and kept good care of. Probably the best bathroom we had in all of Sri Lanka. The bed is comfortable and big. Amazing value stay not far from the main road but in a very quit place. On the ground floor they have a lot of the cutest and friendliest stray animals that they take care of. We had an amazing time playing with the cats and dogs. ans were very sad to leave them.

Go here, dont hesitate

My first stay in sri lanka couldnt have been better. I was here for 5 days and even though it rained for 3 of them I had a wonderful time. This is such a calm and genuine place. Loved the company of cats and dogs. While it was raining I sat upstairs with magic view and a book! Comfortble bed, Nice bathroom, Nice pool. The owners have a wonderful restaurant at the Beach Street. Really tasty and affordable food.

If you are a light sleeper bring earplug, the frogs are loud at night!

Perfect stay in an animal lovers' house.

The house is beautiful and there are so many nice places to sit which are outside the room but still within the house. The pool is really fun and just long enough to swim. We opted for the Sri Lankan breakfast with fruit and curd and were very happy. The staff was amazing and helped us find taxis and they even arranged for us to have massages at an ayurvedic place near by. The center offer a great range for a very good fee. The staff are real animal lovers and there are many rescue cats in the garden and courtyard. When they find an abandoned kitten, starving and ill, they take them to the vet and nurse them back to health. The asked when we arrived whether we would like them to keep the cats in a cage while we were there, but as none of us was allergic we did not mind and the kittens are really super cute.

I cannot think of anything that can be improved. We had a perfect stay.

An Oasis in Negombo

Villa Kapuru is such an oasis in Negombo. We really enjoyed the atmosphere around the pool that was surrounded by so many plants and comfortable sun beds. The rooms are very big and clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka after 30 days of travelling. The owners are very nice and offered us a lot of help and gave some great tips. Breakfast was delicious and plenty too. The best thing about this place are the kittens though. There are many of them and the hotel manager rescued them from the street and takes very good care including medical treatment. Thank you for having such a big heart for those cats and dogs in need. It was very inspiring to see. Keep up your amazing work! It was the perfect place for our last night and I wish we could have stayed longer.
