DO NOT DO BOOKING IT UNTIL YOU DO NOT READ THIS!!!
Extremely dirty and disgusting house!
In the house was 12 degrees, we slept with the kids in one room in jeans and winter jackets, we try to heat up the room with our body. Next day I have looked the heating oil tank , that was empty. I reported it to the owner’s helper, we got oil after it. After In the house was gasoline smell everywhere during our 5 days.
The shower head leaked , was not in rubber sealing in both shower. The wall besides the toilet was dirty, we washed down before the kids touch it. We could not use the freezer because it was full with ice , the door did not closed. Front of the fridge all the time was melted ice water pound on the floor. The carpets in the house were extremely dirty and smelly. The oven worked only that time when we did shake the element. All pans and Owen trays were very very used and disgusting old.
Outside the house is the same dirty feeling like inside, the 2.5 meter bushes covered the sea view.
I did report to the owner and he promised half price refund, but it was only promise . Money not refunded!! I did report to PayPal and the Booking.com customer service. The owner does not reply for my emails.

Very comfortable house with lots of amenities, like in your own 🏠
House is quite far from beach, no sidewalks to get anywhere. Very difficult without car.

first of all we have to thank the owners for the clear instructions and kindness. the house is in a beautiful area close to the beach and mountains, it was really quiet and the nature around it was soothing, the heating was good and everything was clean, in the kitchen we could find everything we needed the beds were comfortable, in short we really enjoyed our stay.

Great base for driving around!., no matter where you're heading.., & only a few mins from Westport..
Only one bed made up on arrival!!., so me and kids all had to pile into it.. no sleep was had by me!! Bedding needs to be binned., its actually disgusting.. The house needs to be aired!., as it stinks of must & damp..
So I had the heating on the whole time I was there as It made it better..
The dryer is broke, as I found out when I went to use it!., and I ended up coming home with a full load of wet washing.. Also opened the washing machine to use it and the smell was disgusting..
As I was doing a sweep up after ourselves before leaving., I came across finger nail clippings., so I just left it.. and didn't finish..
Wanted to make a pot of tea., lifted out one of the pots from the press to find a used tea bag sitting in it... put it back in the press & didn't look to see if any of the others were usable..
Some of the wardrobes & storage presses had stinking coats, shoes and stuff belong to god knows who.. (which added to the smell in the place!) Duvets rolled up with no protection from damp & dirt & dust..
It is a great little house., fantastic location., and I'd luv to stay again..., but I'll be bringing my own bedding!., and the house really needs a good going over!!.

The house and utilities were clean even though it didn't smell clean. The location was brilliant with two lovely beaches very close by. The house was spacious.
The house had a musty smell throughout the rooms. It is a pity the outside of the house is not kept better, there were weeds growing around the house and the fabulous view was blocked by the hedge surrounding the property. The bunk bed was supported by a paint can and was very squeaky.

Property in very good location- old Head Beach, Croagh Patrick only 5 min drive, The Lost Valley-25 min drive, Westport- 15 min.
All is good except noisy bunk beds- kids weren’t able to sleep because of it, but got sorted with sofa in sitting room which was comfortable.

Location privacy
Bed was uncomfortable problem with flush in toilet

The bedrooms probably need a revamp.

Good house well equipped in picturesque location
Carpets in the house were clean but stinking of cleaning products the smell permeates the whole house. These would require renewing or hard washable surfaces laid in place of carpet. Second bedroom had a bunk bed that was needing renewed, It had squeaky springs that kept the occupant from sleeping and was very uncomfortable. The grounds are poorly maintained with grass and hedge uncut spoiling the view. The avenue is also over grown with trees catching the car while entering or leaving.
