Close to Knock airport
The room was large enough for the three of us. The receptionist was friendly when we arrived at the hotel.
I had contacted the hotel before we arrived to find out the breakfast time because we were taking a family member to the Knock airport. The breakfast time started 8am after the time we need to leave to go to the airport. Fair enough. We returned from the airport and proceeded to go to breakfast. The lights were off and no one was around. I rang the hotel number after 8am but there was no answer. I rang again at 8.30 still no answer. Other guests arrived and we all waited in the reception. Finally a young woman came in the front door and turned on the lights and got in touch with the night manager....... We eventually had a lovely breakfast and accepted the apology from the professional young woman.

Bad
nothing
The hotel was in a state of disrepair. The carpet was filthy, the walls were covered in mold, and the curtains were faded and stained. The smell of mold was overwhelming.

Quick weekend getaway
Can’t get any more of a central location. Staff are awesome. Bar/restaurant were great. Rooms are spacious
Had to unclog the shower drain myself, rooms were quiet as far as inside/hallway noise but loud to outside noise on the Main Street. No A/C caused room to get a little stuffy. No elevator might be a problem for some.

It was like going back in time to a traditional Irish Inn and Pub.
Excellent property. Amazing staff, so helpful and friendly, especially Lora and Marie. Room had everything we needed. Hotel was centrally located. We could walk to anything we needed. Hotel breakfast was excellent. Ate dinner at the hotel restaurant/pub both nights and it was delicious and fun. Highly recommend the hotel, restaurant, rooms, pub and staff.
No elevator.

Exceptional
this is a gem of a hotel made even better as it's dog friendly!! staff are exceptional, so helpful & pleasant. no comprises made for a dog friendly room - it was spotlessly clean, spacious, lovely fresh bed linen with tea/coffee making facilities. situated in the heart of the town it's location is great & only a 15 minute drive to knock airport. there was a lovely buzz in the bar/restaurant & although we didn't eat there were plenty of people who were enjoying dinner & the plates of food looked incredible. beautiful cooked breakfast in the morning.
nothing to dislike!!

Kiltimagh stay
It was convenient to knock, clean.
We arrived to be told there was renovation work going on downstairs during our stay. The kitchen was closed for refurbishment and as a result there was no food being served in the hotel, we had to eat elsewhere that evening and breakfast was provided for us in a nearby cafe. Room could've been warmer heating controlled by hotel it came off and on at certain times.
