Owner was very attentive to our needs. buildings and grounds were beautiful and interesting. they had a wonderful dinner and breakfast at the lodge which was great for us since we didn't want to go back into town.

The location is excellent for cycling the Ecopista Dao, the hire place is 10 minutes away. Faisal cooked for us each evening, lovely tasty Indian food for 2 hungry cyclists. Very quiet peaceful location with good parking.

Breakfast was fine. Nothing to write home about but adequate in every way. Proprietors were warm and helpful. We wanted a quiet, accommodating place to stay, and this fit the bill.
Grounds were pleasant but not exciting. No complaints at all. Just a good place to stay.

The location of the place is fantastic. Surrounded by nature, you can always hear birds singing. If you want to get disconnected from daily life, this place is a good choice. No wifi and tv in rooms (Although you have a good data connection on your mobile phones).
Mussa, the host, was a great guy with good energy, in case you want he'll do the shopping and will cook for you. We had two dinners, both were of excellent quality and reasonable price (Paid €39 for two appetizers, salad, two beef stakes, dessert, and a jar of red wine). It's very close to the bike rental if you want to do a bike trip from Viseu to here. Also a bunch of great river sides for swimming, standup paddling and sunbathing.

The owner was friendly and helpful. His knowledge of the area was appreciated, as it was our first time in that area. He was always ready to help. The accommodation was lovely, big room with a view to the beautiful green garden and very private.
The host cooked us an Indian dinner, which was good, however, I thought it was a bit pricey.
The house where you have your meals is a beautiful stone house, well refurbished, but extremely cold. It didn't feel very relaxing having a meal feeling so cold.
Although the location is beautiful, you must have a car to get there and to move around if you want to visit the many historical places nearby. All and all, we enjoyed our stay, and I can imagine how lovely it would be to come back in the summer!

Fezial and his wife were so welcoming, we felt very comfortable and the surroundings were beautiful. Fezial cooked for us both evenings and the food was superb I definitely recommend staying here it is calm and tranquil.
My only criticism would be in our room there were three beds a large double and two singles leaving no space for any chairs, for me personally I would of liked somewhere to sit and read other than that it was perfect.

The staff where friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. We originally booked two weeks and stayed for six. As an addition to the B & B, Feizal produced some excellent evening meals including some very good authentic Indian cuisine.
We stayed there in the autumn/winter season and found it cold in the evenings. A heater was supplied and extra covers for the bed. The public area has a lovely log burner, but could do with some additional heating at this time of year.
The bed was a bit low, but comfortable enough.

Very quiet and peaceful.
Lovely host.
Great dinner - good value and delicious.
No TV in the room or wifi (an advantage for some and a disadvantage for others)
Unfortunately, there is noise outside from the nearby dual carriageway and IP2 so not as tranquil as it could be.
The bedroom would benefit from a mirror, a chair and somewhere to put towels!

Casas Vale Martinho is in a gorgeous green area that immediately made us feel calmer and more relaxed. The bedroom and bathroom was comfortable with a beautiful garden view and continental breakfast was pleasant. Our host was very kind and shared great tips of where to go and what to do. Great value too! We're very likely to return for a longer visit.
Couldn't fault a thing.

The place is gorgeous and the hosts were so nice and welcoming. We are both vegeterian so for dinner we had an Indian dinner made by the host and it felt like a shef meal with 6 fantastic dishes.
The host gave us some wonderful tips for our trip. room and breakfast were great.
We believe that this is one of the best places to visit in Portugal with great value for money.

Very nice place with a big garden. The owner and his wife were wonderful and did their best to accomodate us. My wife is vegan and gluten intolerant. They prepared a really good indian dinner for us.

Staff are very friendly, the room was big, very clean and with a lovely balcony. It's a lovely place, very quiet and is less than 10 minutes away from the main city.
The only complaints that I have are that I didn't get Wi-Fi in the bedroom and no air con and it gets very hot.

There is a special charm to the place, the interior decoration, the friendly animals that freely roam outside, que tranquility of the outdoor areas. Highly professional staff
I am doing the N2 by bike and had to deviate a mile or so, not really an issue with the property, specially considering the wonderful rural setting
