Cheap getaway

The price we paid was fantastic we wanted a bed for 1 night and couldn't beat it. The bed was super comfortable clean and warm with an option of an extra throw that we didn't need. Yes you could hear the road a little bit but didn't stop us sleeping After a little while we heard no cars until the morning. Parked just around the corner which was fine Host was friendly. Tea and coffee was plentiful. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a base a short walk to the sea front. Cheap, warm.clean with a hot shower .central heating was warmer than my home !!! The size of the room was perfectly adequate. Would definitely return.

Can't fault anything. Would of liked longer if I didn't have to get back to work

Great for the location and price

Locality. Friendly host.

The bed has seen better days. Not very comfortable after a days hiking. Unfortunately lots of dust.

Helpful Host

Helpful host. She allowed me to use ice cubes for my injured knee. The room & bathroom are clean. Have TV for entertainment if the weather is not permitting you to go outside.

Easy reach of town centre ,private bathroom ,light airy room

Found the mattress dippy ,but that was the only complaint !

booked 2 nights only stayed one, went to premier inn instead

walk to town/beach about 5-10 minutes

no parking doesn't seem to have been updated since 50s/60s, called vintage stay bed awful minimal privacy from room and en suite to busy road

Location. Comfortable room. Free parking for 2 vehicles at the rear of the property. Plenty of milk/coffee etc.

The host was very abrupt with my wife and I because we arrived half an hour before check in. Room was outdated but comfortable. The narrow lane leading to the parking spaces was full of pot holes.

Excellent. Very friendly and welcoming host. We will go back again next year 2023. Been there twice

The room was a fair size. We had been to stay there before so we knew what to expect. had a separate bathroom and toilet within. also, although just a guest house which did nto do breakfasts she provided plates and cutlery and a toaster, so we took our own stuff to do for our breakfasts - went well.

Nothing - everything was superb. Only one thing - when we got back late from the theatre, there was no available light switch for us to use for the stairs so had to be very careful.

Location was good not far to beach.

Room was freezing cold- advertises parking, there was none, I would have not booked if that was the case. Not very welcoming, some of roomnot cleaned properly, curtains and blinds difficult to shut.

it had a kettle and toaster ten minute walk to sea front shops bars and restaurants and on the marine

room very small to much in it. pillows very lumpy mattress not comfortable and the traffic noise was horrendous so no sleep for 2 nights had to keep window closed but even then still could here the traffic noise and the curtains were so thin the light woke you up at 4am shower head was full of limescale so didn't use it. Bathroom curtains hanging off the rail. It is advertising a vintage house but it is more like a 1940's house so very old decor

Lovely stay

Hello, thank you for hosting my parents they loved the room and especially the host they said it's a lovely person and they will come back to stay in this property when they next come visit me

It suited us perfectly for our planned short break. Most enjoyable stay.

The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable, plus an extra sofa. The kettle and toaster were useful additions, plus tea,coffee and milk and sugar was provided although not mentioned.

The stairs were a bit steep, but then I am a pensioner! Bathroom blinds were a little awkward. A bit noisy early morning as on a main road. Tricky short cut across another busy road into town.

Dissapointing overall

Location was a tad busy traffic ways

Room way too small for 3 adults. Electric power points hanging on wires was dangerous. Constant aroma of canabis all the time in the landing stairway area. Left a day early. Did take photos of electrics if needed.the window of the ensuite was a 3 pane bay that was unfrosted and anybody opposie could happily see straight through yet there were blinds there which added.to the overall light or rather lack of. I have got phots but on my friends phone which can be obtained if needed.I think mr stephen should be completely refunded.

Smells there not Clean people smoking things there and I do not mean fags either I think i deserve full refund also no heating on during night period freezing cold in the rooms
