Rosebud is one of the most photographed and iconic houses on Harbour Island. With the original Abaco Pine exterior and beautiful sunset porch this house is truly a historic gem. Dating from the early 1800's the new owners have recently updated it with a small pool and fresh interiors all the while conserving its beautiful traditional loyalist cottage features. The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Upstairs you will find the grand master bedroom with a king sized four poster bed overlooking the harbour and an adjoining bathroom in the hallway. There is also a charming twin bedroom upstairs that can be converted to a second king if needed, equally with its own bathroom. The third bedroom is downstairs with a queen sized bed and an ensuite bathroom for ultimate privacy. The spacious open-plan living area downstairs includes the cozy living room and the bar area. The front porch feels like a natural extension of the living room thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. The fully fitted Kitchen leads straight onto the back covered patio, where you can enjoy a lovely al fresco dinner for 8 or take a dip in the newly constructed pool after a long day at the beach. The property is conveniently located in the heart of town with a grocery store, bakery, coffee shops and deli within walking distance. The main dock can be reached on foot and the famous Pink Sand Beach is less than 15 min away and only a few minutes in a golf cart. The home is locally managed, which includes daily housekeeping, central AC, wireless internet, cable TV, Reverse Osmosis System in the kitchen. The house also has its own generator, so you won't be troubled if the power goes out which sometimes happens on this little Island. The Pool comes with a heater for the colder months which can be used for an additional fee of
$250 a week. There is a refundable damage deposit of $3,000. No children under the age of 10 years allowed. Babies are welcome as long as they are not old enough to walk. Enjoy the true Briland experience and sit on the porch watching the fishermen on the dock, wave to the friendly people strolling by or buy a home made conch salad from Harrison in the pink golf cart just outside the garden gate. To stay at Rosebud is to immerse yourself in the rich history of this beautiful Island and get a real understanding as to why it is rightly called The Home of the Friendly People.

We have admired the Rosebud cottage from afar for several years and recently had the opportunity to spend a week in this beautiful cottage. Our stay at the Rosebud was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated, the beds and furniture are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked. The view from the porch is beautiful and we spent many hours watching the boats come in and out of the bay. The plunge pool is the perfect size for relaxing when you want time away from the beach. Communication with the owner and property manager was thorough and easy. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return!

I’ve always admired the picturesque Rosebud, and staying there was even more than I imagined. Perfectly located on the island with sweeping views of the harbor and immaculately decorated. The beds were heavenly! We didn’t spend much time inside the house as the pool and outdoor space became the living room for the weekend. I can’t say enough about how much we love Rosebud!

We've been coming to HI for years but this was our first time staying on the bay and at Rosebud- and it did not disappoint! The sunsets are incredible and we loved relaxing on the porch after a day on the beach. The house is very well thought out and the decor is both authentic and beautiful with comfortable rooms. The plunge pool and outdoor patio were great and felt really private. Alexis the house manager stopped by on arrival and was lovely. The daily housekeeper was great. There were 4 beach chairs and beach toys which were perfect. Plenty of beach/pool towels. The only thing I wish I had was a cooler to bring to the beach. The location is convenient and you can walk to the grocery store, some restaurants and wine store. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!

This was our first visit to Harbor Island. Sweet island with the most lovely people. The home is beautifully designed, the furnishings were very West Indies so perfect for the island; and everyone in our party loved (!!! ) this house. Very adequate space, # of bathrooms and dining table seating. Wespecially appreciated the convenient location to town and only a quick golf cart ride to our locations. Beds were comfortable and the basic kitchen accessories. There were ample towels and other basics. We loved the porches!!

Rosebud is absolutely PERFECT! It has everything you need to make your stay in paradise just perfect. It's in a great location, is well appointed, and the whole staff (hostess, housekeeping, property manager, groundskeepers) were so friendly, helpful, and attentive. We cannot wait to come back to Rosebud - I think we just found ourselves a.new yearly tradition!

The cottage was perfect for our group of three couples. While not large, had space for everyone to spread out between the front porch with great views of the bay or the back private courtyard with dipping pool and large table to eat. The location was perfect, rooms were nice and clean and house was well appointed. I highly recommend and everyone in our group said we would definitely rent again in the future.

This house was truly a Bahamian charming home situated on the most picturesque street in Dunmore. We spent most of our time on the front porch enjoying the gorgeous bay view and saying hello to all the locals driving by in their golf carts. The home is beautifully decorated and cozy. We have been traveling to Harbour Island for over 10 years and it is our favorite place, but first time renting a home and now we will continue to do so. This visit was to plan for our daughters wedding on the island this year and it turned out wonderful by staying at Rosebud.

What a great property in an amazing location. Few minor issues we had -- water pressure one day -- was resolved immediately despite it being a holiday. Pool is not huge, but proved more than adequate for the kids. Location can't be beat and numerous people were jealous we were staying at Rosebud. Communication with owner and house manager was outstanding. Would come back again an highly recommend.

My family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosebud. Rosebud is a wonderful house. Very charming and cozy. The location is great. Right on the water and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. We’ve been to Harbour Island several times and Rosebud is a place I would definitely look to stay again!

Rosebud is such a beautiful property on the lovely Harbour Island! Alexis, the property manager was very responsive and helpful, as was the owner. I’ve been in several rental houses on the island and this is one of my absolute favorites. The front porch is the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the harbor, the back patio is a peaceful oasis to sit and hang or have an outside meal. The inside is beautifully decorated and the master bedroom has such a great view overlooking the harbor. Definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!
