Locatie was top, alles op loopafstand. Winkels restaurants. Dicht bij Den Haag, goed bereikbaar en gratis parkeren.
Ontbijt was zeer goed, veel keus en lekker.
Het had wat schoner mogen zijn

Location is good for bus to The Hague/Leiden. Hosts lovely and happy to help with queries.
It would be nice if use of bicycles free of charge.

Good location in Voorschoten near lake and downtown. Rode bikes to Wassenaar in about 20 min.

The sound insulation is not very good. You can hear people on the road talking.

Host was very welcoming and kind. The location and surrounding areas where beautiful and easy walking distance to restaurants and bars.
House/ room was very quiet and peaceful. The host went above and beyond.
Breakfast was delicious. Homemade and locally sourced. Can't put into words how yummy the food was.
Very welcoming with dogs. Our dog enjoyed the area.
I would 110% stay again and will when we travel through the Netherlands.
Tea coffee and Netflix available which is great to relax in the late evening.

The host was excellent, very helpful and polite, and spoke good English for me. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. The room had a shared bathroom but wasn’t being shared while I was there, it had an excellent shower and a jacuzzi bath (didn’t use). The breakfast was outstanding!
Nothing, everything was good.

The breakfast is amazing and the room is very cozy, Ron and Amalia are very prestative and nice.
It is a bit far from bus stops or the train station. The price is fair but still high.

Such a great B&B. Wonderful breakfast and staff, totally recommend:)

Voorschoten is flat as a pancake. Excellent for getting about by bike or on foot. Train about 2km walk. Bus 45 about 1km. I was offered a free bike but decided against. A street plan e.g. Google Maps is handy, because there are so many waterways and bridges to negotiate.
Windmill is near De Vink.
I was warned about a dog barking when the owner is out. When arriving back in the dark, I imagined it was the Hound of the Baskervilles locked in the kitchen. Probably a small poodle!
Price was more than I usually spend on a B&B in continental Europe, but I chose on price because everything else in this part of Holland was even more expensive.
3.5
Good room, tea making facilities, varied continental breakfast.

I had a great stay at Silver Moon Bed and Breakfast. I was in the area for a conference in Leiden and Ron was kind enough to reserve one of their bikes for me so I could cycle into the city each day. This is very do-able and also possible by bus if you don't want to cycle. The room was very comfortable and had a little balcony outside as well. There was a very nice shared bathroom and toilet and also a gym area for use if you wanted. Ron brought a very nice breakfast to the room each day at the time I requested. I would highly recommend this property if you are in the area, it is also good value for money compared to properties in nearby cities.
The location is not super central, in Voorschoten, which is 6-7 km south-west of Leiden. This wasn't a problem for me, but if you want to be able to walk to tourist locations then it might not be super ideal.

Voorschoten was an excellent location for visiting nearby Leiden and Den Haag. It was also an attractive small town in its own right with plenty of places to eat near to the Silver Moon B&B. We were able to park safely outside the accommodation and store our bikes. There was a good cycle route from here into Leiden alongside the canal. The room we were allocated was of a decent size although it didn't have the balcony mentioned in earlier advertising. A fridge was provided and coffee making facilities. The host Ron was very helpful and the breakfast, included in the price, was good and varied. We enjoyed the stay and would come here again if we are in the area,
Our room was up two steep flights of stairs. It wasn't an insurmountable problem for us though it might be for some people.
4.5
This has been noted by others: the steep Dutch stairs! People familiar with The Netherlands know about Dutch stairs: they are narrow and steep. This is quite normal in these parts. The hosts are used to them and, amazingly, carry full breakfast trays up and down with ease. Not so the hapless noun-Dutch visitor. This B & B is in the original spirit: a spare room or two in a private home, but with very professional attention. Hosts are excellent and the facilities grand. This is a good alternative to more costly and, often, more impersonal accommodation in Capitol cities.
You guessed it: steep, Dutch stairs!

The room was lovely, the bathroom also had a jacuzzi, the owner was great, helpful and kind. The breakfast was huge and so tasty and varied. The room came with a balcony too and you could use gym tools (not a gym person, do not ask me names)
Honestly nothing to complain about.

The host is super welcoming, super helpful and, super caring. And don't skip having the home prepared breakfast. It's amazing. We loved the locality and though it's relatively away from city centre, it's well connected with regular bus service. It's a very peaceful locality where one will thoroughly enjoy his or her time. We also got bycycle and umbrella from the owners. It felt like family.
Nothing as such to dislike

We were in Vorschooten to see the universities for my daughter in The Hague and Leiden. The location of the Silver Moon B&B was ideal for this. It is a very charming property with super nice hosts. The breakfast is exceptional, vegan ingredients were also included. We felt very comfortable in the 2 days and can highly recommend Ron's accommodation.

Family of Five, we used both available rooms. the larger room had its own bathroom. nice seating area for breakfast. Ron was very nice and provided a wonderful breakfast brought to our room every morning that always included a little bit of local favorites for us to try.
the smaller room had a shared bathroom.
