I love the room especially the bed is so comfortable and the room is spacious and clean. The Hotel is very convenient as it's proximity is central to various attractions.
It's an old shower head however it's a great place. I'll definitely utilise the hotel again

Totally nothing, it was a great disappointment
The facility is so dilapidated and we had cockroaches in our room. The room was very dirty and old. My son cried through the night because of the roaches.

Everything else. Breakfast and the electric kettle were almost not working. Probably i was only one living there

Only the location, City centre👍🏿
Probably everything else was a mess! I booked this hotel Koz of the location and the swimming pool koz i mean,August is summertime and after a long day of sweating in Kampala traffic jam,all i needed is cool down and have a swim 🏊♂️,but all that didnt happen!
Firstly,I booked this early morning,ok the samw day i came to check in at 22hrs and they did not expect me! You read that wright, they didn’t know that i was coming 🙄. After reaching,a guy keeping the reception at night had no idea which room to give me,didn’t know how to swap a room door card, wanted me to fill im a form but didn’t have an ink pen🖊 ,and it got messy! He called the Manager like so many times and he had to direct him everything on phone, also the manager talked to me and he meant that he didnot check the bookings before he left🤭. So guy gave us a room and reaching there,my driver showed me 2 cockroaches 🪳 with his foot and said “how can you book such a hotel!?” the room was also smelling like nobody opened it for months. Well i was so tired and just slept, next morning at 8am Manager came to work and he woke me up! at exactly 8am with a phone call to ask me if i had a message from booking.com! That means he doesnt even know how to check his messages ans bookings!
Grand imperial used to be a nice hotel like 10yrs ago when i still lived in Kampala, but guess what,I CANT RECOMMEND IT NOW 🙅🏾♀️.
Time for breakfast came and there are 3 people working there,(a cook, and two waiters) who are also very messy. One brings fruits first to our table and after like 20 minutes, there comes what to eat like Sausages, fried potatoes 🥔 etc and then after other 20 minutes english tea! very disorganised team 🤦🏿♀️. Afternoon we wanted to swim and guess what? the swimming pool is out of function! Its closed y’all! The water is dusty and hasnt been treated in a while!

Weird place overall. It's got some age, some smells. You can walk up the street to the Speek Hotel and get higher quality for the same price.

The staff was very friendly and serviceminded and I felt at home the week I stayed here with my two teenage daughters. The other guest was also nice and there was no trouble at the hotel. We had two big rooms connected as Family room. The rooms where clean and with NO insects, such as mosquito. The pool lokked Nice, but we didn't get time to use it. TV and wifi worked well.
The aircon was a bit noicy from time to time. We had to recharge the key cards daily.
