absolutely amazing! will 100% be back

a lovely place, the rooms are fresh, clean and cosy! the bar area is extremely nice with a great range of drinks and nibbles! the breakfast is absolutely to die for! the staff were impeccable and couldn’t do enough for you!

Modern, quality, vibrant.

It was ideally located for us as it was in a street with interesting shops, restaurants etc yet just set back from the harbour and beaches. The Tilman was modern and we liked the atmosphere. The room had great facilities and was of a nice size; it was tastefully decorated. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well; the noises of the street were dealt with by the sound insulation. The bathroom was large, modern and had both a shower and a bath. Toiletries, coffee supplies etc were good quality. Breakfast was excellent with good choice and quality produce used. The staff were really helpful. We would go back like a shot and just a pity we only had one night there. We loved Barmouth too!

Wonderful!

The Tilman was a wonderful surprise in the heart of Barmouth. The room was at the top of the house (56 steps up so lots of exercise!) and was very comfortable and spacious. A large bathroom and shower area with plentiful supplies. Breakfast was delicious - served piping hot on hot plates and the quality of food was superb, as was the friendliness of the girls serving. Each morning was a treat!

There was nothing I didn't like about The Tilman.

Breakfast good, room very comfy & clean. Found the stairs to difficult to manage, ask for a room on a lower floor but had to manage a steep flight of stairs This was the only problem, if you have a ground floor room Would definitely book again.

I certainly haven’t got enough room for 2 to 3 sentences. I wouldn’t be £140 out of the room. There is no condiments in the room the shower condiments Montel Brown were not available and we have none. Mattress was right, there’s no pillow protectors on to the pillow that I was given we’re absolutely threadbare.And there was a few smell of raw sewage throughout the building they obviously knew well before they booked Customers in that there was a problem which consisted of a larger issue when we got there. I was told it was a dead animal from the property that was vacant next door. When I’ve spoken to somebody else there’s been a problem with the plumbing. Honestly goes a long way and it would’ve been given the option to not stay there and book somewhere else indeed we would’ve done. The standards of this hotel and the asking price of rooms I think we need to take a good area view it certainly needs a good clean and up the game and what they’re advertising and what is value for money.. The bar was Grubby, the wine glasses were dirty. I want you to put it off and spending any more money in there. Visit the captains table next door the restaurant, it was excellent!.

Excellent hotel well situated.

Breakfast was excellent and the staff accommodated some cooked breakfast changes I asked for. Cheerful staff and a nice cosy but smart feel to the hotel. Excellent central location.

More sea view would have been the icing on the cake.

Fabulous location for a relaxing quiet stay, with the most accommodating and welcoming staff

The staff were amazing and so helpful, probably made our stay so a big thank you !

Fantastic staff, place location

On arrival the member of staff who my brother and I met was so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was out of this world, and the lady that did the breakfast shift was lovely. Looking forward next time to take my husband to show him all the good I was telling him in tje evenings.

The only problem I had was my bedside lights didn't work properly, I did tell the breakfast ladie but it wasn't a problem as I used the light on tje dressing table.

Pleasant

Stylish and clean

The room was stuff and hot, couldn't open the window. Air conditioning didn't seem to allow for cooler temps. The main issue was the constant flashing light from what I think was the sprinkler system in the room. This was directly above the bed and resulted in very disturbed sleep.

Breakfast was lovely, room was exactly as described, and it was central to all attractions, would stay again maybe in season to see all the attractions

This was our third stay at The Tillman and we’ve booked again for next year.

Modern, clean, comfortable rooms. King size bed. Great shower. Friendly staff. Nice and central.

We were in Room 8 again, and the green light in the room marking the door as a fire exit is very bright and kept waking us up.
