A treasure nesting in the Bulgarian countryside.

The property is beautifully set in a quaint traditional Bulgarian village, an hours drive from Sofia airport. A perfect and picturesque place to experience true Bulgarian hospitality and culture. It is near (30min drive) the famous Rita Monastery, which is worth a visit. Petar and Tania are perfect hosts, welcoming everyone, making sure ever guest is happy and comfortable and have everything they need. The rooms are spotless and immaculately clean and the beds are really comfortable, with up to date en-suite facilities and air conditioning. The garden and pool area are beautiful with vines growing round the walls, perfect for Al fresco dining. We ate breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse and food was delicious, the vegetables and fruit have been grown in the garden. Argacho is a beautiful home from home, we will treasure our memories of staying there.

We didn’t stay long enough! The guesthouse is perfect.

The owner is a very good person. Takes time for you. He prepared our food with care as if it was for himself. Made us feel like we were at home.

We loved the great host Peter, we had a great time there. We had peace and quiet. The rooms were very clean, the yard is big and the food that Peter prepared for us was delicious. It is a pleasure to stay with a host who loves what he does. We will return defenetly.

The owner is very personable and really enjoys having guests.

There is a courtyard with a pool. We didn't use it, but it looked nice. Also a place to hang up wet clothes in the courtyard.

Great guesthouse and hosts

The facilities and hosts were amazing. The pool was nice and refreshing after hiking in 33 deg weather. The hosts are really great people and enjoyed spending time with them. The food was amazing too. We will have to return and hike the seven lakes.

Exceptional

Peter, the owner, is mountaineer and has been climbing quite a lot of tops. He runs his guest house like a refuge/hut. With his experience, he perfectly feels the needs of his guests. He also has a common room with a bar and offers, if you wish, also perfect breakfast and dinner. What do you want more?

Memorable stay.

Lovely place and location but what makes this place really special is the lovely welcome by the hosts Peter and Tanya. They also offer an evening meal and breakfast which is ideal as the guesthouse is not close to other places.

We had an amazing stay. Room was perfect. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The diner and the breakfast were délicious. Petr and Tanya are probably the best hosts in Bulgaria. Thanks for the hospitality.

Exceptional

The guesthouse has a great location in the foothills of Rila mountain. Our room was spacious, clean and included everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a huge yard with a pool. Petar is really friendly and hospitable. He prepared delicious pancakes for us. If we are to visit Stob again, we are certainly staying in Argacho!

The host is an awesome guy, very friendly and taking care for you. Room was very clean.

Unfortunately the bed and me became no friends. I slept bad here. The bathroom is the shower and a quite smelly one. I expected more from the ratings.

We would certainly stay at the same place again and recommend it to friends.

Warm welcome by the hosts. Really nice to see a pool on this very hot day and after having gone to see the Rila Monastery. We choose this location because it was an easy and important cultural stop on our way to Greece. Food (extra) was super good, especially the crepes in the morning.

The only thing we didn't expect is that the third bed would be in the living room. Still very good place for one/two nights in the area. Hosts are very nice.

An accommodation beyond any expectation! Located in the small village of Stob, where the so called Pyramids can be visited on the way to the Monastery of Rila. Peter is a fantastic host, who shows an incredible attention to details for providing his guests a perfect stay: the very beautiful garden with the swimming pool, the cozy, clean and perfectly equipped bedrooms, the delicious dinner and breakfast which he personally cooks. It has been very nice sitting and talking with him, it really felt like being at home!

What's perfection? Argacho Guesthouse!

Peter and his wife Tanya are adorable persons. They treat you like you are a part of their family. Your wellbeing is important for them. The accommodation is very quite, clean and relaxing. Peter knows everything about the sights in Bulgaria and gives good advices (especially about hiking because he is an experienced mountaineer). I would advice everyone to visit this lovely guesthouse.

Very beautiful place. Great house and an amazing garden. We were exceptionally well welcomed by Petar and his family. Everything was upon our expectations : swimming pool, diner in the garden, crêpes for breakfast, etc. Petar was very accommodating, a wonderful advisor and such nice person to meet. Everything else was perfect (room, parking, safe and quiet area, nice location to visit Rila’s Monastery and see the 7 lacs). Such a shame we did not have time to see Stob’s Pyramids !

Recommended when in Rila region

Absolutely recommended. Everything was excellent Peter is a great host and the place is super nice. Excellent pool!! Not hot but at a nice temperature , we really enjoyed! You can have a tasty dinner and breakfast at excellent prices made by Peter. Thank you again!

Only maybe to put blackouts in the room as in the morning there is a lot of light Location is quite in the middle of nowhere but with a car there is no problem

Great place with amazing host!

Spotless! - and everything works and is in a good condition. Has a nice garden and pool area. Very friendly host (speaks English) who will cook for you upon request.

WiFi signal is weak. A good top mattress would improve the comfort of the bed.
