Continental breakfast was excellent, better than most innkeeper was wonderful and from our hometown, he was more than helpful and accommodating.

The location is good and the place is beautiful. The problem is that The Castle doesn't have a nice personal to serve your clients. Vincent or Vinnie (never knew his name) was not friendly with me because he wanted I coming back each day before 10:00 P>M> I was on vacation.
I decided to cancel two nights, January 3 and 5, and Vincent Promise me to refund the money. I have phone called him several times and no response, nor call me back. I'm missing the refund. I feel mocked.
BOOKING is responsable about this situation too, because yo sell The Castle like a Hotel and the Castle is not a hotel and doesn't have none structure.....no wi fi......no personal....
to have an efficient and nice personal that know yo can't stay into the Castle before 10:00 P>M>
If you are on vacation at 10:00 you are taking a dinner and more than the Castle doesn't have restaurant.
BOOKING doesn't buy rooms with serious limitations without telling anything to us, the clients.
I feel very upset with Booking and I prefer another platform for my next trips.

Loved it. Beautiful. Caretaker was very nice.
When booking I would mention to people exactly where to go. 2 separate parties - like us - circled the park not seeing a small sign. This caused us to check in after our our dinner, because we were going to be late. Also, I wouldn’t charge for a cot - I ended up not using mine and jumped in the bed with my cousin - because it was so uncomfortable.

Liz, the Manager/Inn Keeper was lovely professional friendly caring accommodating. Liz graced us with a delicious breakfast of fresh homemade warm scones, egg soufflé, bagels, coffee and Orange or cranberry juice choices.
No Wi-Fi in room but we were fine. Wi-Fi connects in lower level. it’s an elegant castle take a break in the room from social media. Bathroom sink water trickled but we’re the type you just make the best if it. It’s not your home, one night and make the best if it.

The innkeeper, Liz, was a fabulous host! Very attentive to our groups needs, fun, knowledgeable and gracious.
Quality of showers in shared bathrooms, one did not work and the other had dated, worn out fixtures with no shelf for soap or shampoo.

Beautiful setting. Beautiful building. Spacious rooms.
Very comfortable bed.
I didn’t stay longer.
My only real critique is that the regular morning coffee was not as strong as I like it.

The place is amazing, stunning and the Inn keeper is the best keeper we have meet very friendly made u feel comfortable from the moment u walk in took my girl friend here for her birthday we arrived a little late and he took the time to show us around , he is very informative when it come to the castles history . Breakfast was the best continental breakfast we have seen , as the other guest said " fit for a king" so my queen was very very happy to say the least to have stayed here . The inn keeper encouraged us to walk the castle for as long as we like even AFTER checking out and u will spend a lot of time just soaking up the atmosphere

Loved the property and Paul the innkeeper was wonderful.
Would like a full B&B breakfast with eggs instead of continental.

The building and the surroundings are fabulous. This is a perfect wedding place.
This is not a real hotel/b&b. The place is used as a wedding venue and separate room rental is just a side kick. The staff is so overwhelmed with taking care of the wedding preps that has no time nor attention for the 'ordinary' guests. We were at best tolerated, in reality we were made feel like we were a nuisance. Not once, not twice: throughout (I spare you the whole litany, here's just one example: we arrived over an hour ahead of the official check-in time and were made wait in the lobby for half an hour even though our room was available and ready. In fact, we were granted a 'favor' to enter the room half an hour before 4pm - which is their check-in time). Besides making us feel unwelcomed, there was no wi-fi in the rooms, one had to catch some waves in the common areas on the ground floor. I planned this stay as a romantic surprise for my husband and it was a big disappointment. The experience could have been wonderful, the place is really beautiful: an old manor with plenty of original details. The park around looks like in the movies. But - unless you are getting married there - you are treated as a second class guest - not fun.

Beautiful property with helpful staff, the grounds are spectacular. The rooms are a little stale smelling but that is to be expected in a manor! There were no towels for three people (2 rooms) but after asking, we were told that they are short towels and gave us two…
No face towels or hand towels either.

I love the historical architecture. Very picturesque! Staff was very friendly.
It was very cold in our room! The heat was on very low when we arrived. I told the staff and they turned up the heat before we went to sleep but it turned off sometime during the night. There was also a light on in the hallway and it shone through the top of the room door. We had a horrible night’s sleep because of these two things :( I believe that because it’s an old building and made of cement, it’s difficult to keep the heat in. Also didn’t like the shared bathroom. We would love to go in the summer though! And we will book a suite for sure!
