Beter dan verwacht!

Het feit dat er gewerkt wordt met een code maakt dat je niet telkens een sleutel moest zoeken. Kamers waren netjes en goede matrassen. Er is een lift aanwezig. Op wandelafstand van de stad Achter de hoek een plaatselijk eetcafé: Kaffi Laekur waar vooral de lokale bevolking komt.we hebben daar 2 keer gegeten..

Ontbijt is zeer eenvoudig maar wordt goed aangevuld, bij volzetting van het hotel kan dit mss wel problemen geven..

Heerlijke bedden, prima hotel, maar veel te warm in de kamer.

makkelijk inchecken met code, heerlijke bedden.

Temperatuur in de kamer was veel te warm. Zelfs met alle ramen open en verwarming dicht konden we het niet koeler in de kamer krijgen. (buiten vroor het het) Door de vloerverwarming? bleeft het 25 graden in de kamer. Jammer daardoor slecht geslapen. Jammer anders zou het een perfect verblijf zijn geweest.

Moderná priestranná kúpeľňa, bohaté raňajky, nespresso kávovar na izbe.

Walk in sprchový kút nie je dobrý nápad, voda bola vždy na dverách, platené wellness, aspoň sauna by mohla byť v cene.

Zentrale Lage in Reykjavik; gute Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Hotel oder ausweichend in den umliegenden Straßen; Unkomplizierter online Check in

Der Eingangscode zum Zimmer bleibt immer gleich, was bei mir zu der Angst führte das andere Gäste einfach reinkommen könnten. Türen der anderen Zimmer schließen sehr laut (früh morgens und spät abends sehr unvorteilhaft). Viele Haare im Zimmer verteilt (mangelnde Sauberkeit). Unangenehmer Geruch im Zimmer der auch durch langes lüften nicht verzieht. Bett sehr weich und Matratze bereits stark durchgelegen (man hat das Gefühl man liegt auf dem Lattenrost, weil man so weit einsackt). Man hat leider gar keinen Bezug zum Personal des Hotels, weil die Rezeption selten besetzt ist und das Personal auch im Vorbeigehen nicht grüßt. Nur kleine Fenster zum lüften.

Did not like my stay

Make the mistake to book it! For 200 Euro for a double room you expect much more. Even if Iceland is high priced. The breakfast was like nothing for the price. Boiled eggs, 2 cold cuts snd one cheese strictly pre-packed, Toast bread, 2 juices, cornflakes, cheerios, pre-packed croissants the small ones, fish in vinegar, 1 type of tea and coffe, yoghurt in 1l pack that wasn't shaken, so you had to take first the liquid, tomatoes and cucumbers. On the last day we wanted to watch TV, but you had to have a smart card. On the last day we discovered that where they put the drinking glasses , nice piece of lava-stone, was not clean. They had only one little trash bag in the bathroom. The bed was against the wall, good luck not banging your head against it or you had place your pillow against the dirty wall. All the furnishing were not right for a hotel room like the bathroom: without drawers . My room 103 was in the lower level and windows street level, so every car passing we could her them. Sheets with at least 7 holes, that we changed after the first day. I can understand when you don't book directly with the hotel you don't get the best room, but.....

Pleasant

It was nice and clean, the staff were helpful, and with easy self check-in.

The temperature in the hotel was way too hot! Not even sleeping with the window open and the fan on was enough.

Reykjavik Room Reliable!

Warm (radiators *too* effective, but i never got cold!) New-ish apartment, many modern touches. Full kitchen. Able to sleep two adults separately, on couch bed and small downstairs bedroom. Own key, private entrance. Separate from breakfast building. Plenty of floor space for open suitcases (no closets). Lots of handy hanging pegs. Free wifi (*does* need password, in framed pic on shelf over tv). Off-street parking space. Only 1.5 miles to Hallgrimskirkja. Buses run right past door. Groceries and N1 gas within a mile. Expensive but for four people, totally worth it. Could have slept 7 if necessary. Breakfast is quite sufficient, filling, fresh--NOT AMERICAN, it's local style. Be flexible, but maybe skip the pickled fish (haha).

OVERALL VISIT GREAT -- These are minor!... Unable to turn off heat, radiators ooze heat even when off (just open windows, great cross-ventilation). Stove was "locked" when i tried to cook, had to call for instructions. Silverware is in a drawer *inside* a cabinet to left of sink, had to call. Was not given code to enter for main bldg (breakfast), had to call. Stairs to "master" bedroom (two twins pushed together w frame gap between mattresses) are VERY steep, not for disabled! There is a rail. Threshold to bathroom raised 2", tripping hazard. Shower has no traction strips, kinda slippery. Raised off floor 4"?, no bar to grab when stepping down and out (a little scary if you have balance issues). Washer and dryer available under stairs, but cycles are 73 minutes to three hours (plan accordingly). Soap provided. Wine keeper appliance in wall by dining table cycling every five seconds, makes noise. Maintenance couldn't shut it off, on fir three days, VERY ANNOYING. Minor problems!! All in all, very good place to stay!!

it was ok

it was easy to get to the city centre

when we arrived the fridge was broken and overheating, it had something in it that was causing a really bad smell in the room. we had to wait for staff replies because there is no one at the desk and we eventually took the fridge out ourselves and moved it to behind reception because it was too bad.

Walking distance to ice cream parlor, bakery. Parking in front of hotel. Decent (typical iceland hotel breakfast).

Some road noise, but expected in the downtown area. Room stayed hot for some reason.

Wanted a spot near Reykjavik downtown that is comfortable and that is exactly what I got.

Nice and comfortable hotel.

The room was very nice, warm, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was modern, clean with everything you need. Breakfast was very tasty and variety. Free parking next to hotel. Definitly recommended.

Relaxing stay in Reykjavik!

Great location (less than 10 minutes by car to the city center) with free parking at the entrance, big room and bathroom, loved the shower! Bed was really comfortable!

Some furnitures in the room and the bathroom were dusty.
