Assolutamente super consigliato!!

Sparkling clean and modern, friendly owners, good recommendations, great views and very tasty breakfast. I loved the fact that they have mosquito nets.
There is not much around the accommodation, you will need to drive for groceries, restaurants, laundry etc. Breakfast was nice but could be improved by adding an option to have eggs (that will make it perfect)

The comfort and facilities are excellent. Our room was cleaned and serviced every day. Susanna and Massimo were attentive but not intrusive and their advice about where and when to visit attractions was invaluable. Breakfast was delicious and varied and having a terrace for relaxing was a real bonus.
Nothing.

The hosts were really friendly and provided very helpful information about surrounding tourist attractions and destinations, breakfast was excellent. The property also has a nice winter/summer terrace on which they serve breakfast, and where in the evenings, after an exhausting day, you can enjoy the view with a glass of drink.
You need a car to visit the surrounding attractions. Note that the driveway to the property is quite steep.

The rooms were very cosy and clean. We had a great view from the location.
The hosts, Susanna and Massimo are the best, very friendly, funny and they were always trying to make our stay even better by giving us suggestions about where to eat, where to park, what to visit...
The breakfast was wonderful with the best cappuccino foam ever 😁
We would definitely like to repeat the experience at Il Murice anytime.
A big thank you to Susanna and Massimo! 🙏

Everything was excellent. The only possible inconvenience for some guests may be when full- parking may be difficult for some drivers- up a very steep hill and difficult maneuvering.

Susanna and Massimo are exceptional hosts. Their hospitality and service exceeded our expectations. They speak english and french and it has been a great pleasure to chat with them. Massimo brought me to the top of their property in the morning so I can take better pictures of La Spezia from very high above. The view of the city and surrounding mountains from their location is just breathtaking. The breakfast has been exceptional and in a very private environment. I wish we could stay longer in their beautiful villa to relax from our intense trip. I recommend Il Murice to anyone who is visiting Cinque Terre and surrounding towns.
I cannot imagine anything that can be improved. Everything has been perfect!

Lovely hosts Susannah and Massimo made us very welcome. Great views from the terrace over La Spezia and out towards the hills of Cinque Terre. Room very comfortable, clean and tidy. Breakfast lots of choice.
The lane up to the property was quite steep, but didn't touch underside of my low profile car, so just small word of caution. Currently quite a few roadworks between la Spezia and Vezzano so trip down might take a while and some patience!

The location was excellent, not too far from La Spezia itself in the car and close to other wonderful locations like the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere, Lerici. As the location is set just outside La Spezia you benefit from the beautiful views from the terrazzo and the tranquility. The rooms are exceptionally clean as Susanna comes and cleans them every day! The towels are changed every 2 days and the bedding every 4 if staying more than a week. A lovely touch to find water bottles in the fridge free of cost. Microwave and Coffee/Tea facilities are available in the rooms also. You will not be disappointed with breakfast, Susanna and Massimo are excellent hosts and ensure you are well looked after, from the baking and fresh pastries to all kinds of recommendations ensuring your stay is the best possible. After spending a week there we did not want to leave as this truly was a home from home and it was like saying goodbye to family. I cannot recommend this place enough, we are surely going back when visiting La Spezia again. Grazie Susanna and Massimo for the wonderful stay xx
We couldn’t fault it, exceeded our expectations.

Verey helpful when medical treatment was needed. Very warm welcome we felt at home.

Rooms: freshly renovated, super clean(!), and with all the equipment you need. (Fridge, mircowave, coffee machine and multifunctional power sockets)
Daily cleaning, welcome water bottles and air condition included.
Location: a bit up the city hill, but therefore quiet and with an amazing view over the area. Enjoy it during your breakfast outside or in the calm evenings. The house is surrounded by lots of blooming flowers and wonderfull plants. A ride to the city core (and the train station to Cinque Terre) takes around 12 minutes.
Parking: Parking spots directly in front of the house. Several more 30m down the street.
Breakfast: good quality! Bread, cereals, fruits, italian sausage, cheese, jam, sweet pastrys, coffee, juices. Plus: a daily changing dish, freshly cooked by the lovely host. You won't get bored and everything tastes great.
Hosts/Other: Mamma Mia, we stayed for two nights only but felt like part of the family already. :) Susanna & Massimo are 120% caring and try to help you planning your trips, gíve advices for the area, will even book a table in the local restaurant for you and are always happy to chat. Their house & garden are in great shape and provide a welcoming terrace with a relaxing atmosphere. (for extra magic: ask Susanna how to get a weather forecast for a full year. You won't get disappointed ;)
Parking entry is a little bit steep and hard to find when arriving first time in the dark.

The best accommodation in whole Italy!!! Absolutely exceptional. So kind and helpful owners - they were very talkative and always recommended us nice places worth visiting. Everyday excellent breakfast - landlady baked everyday delicious sweets and cakes and it was served on the outdoor terrace with breathtaking view to the mountains. Facilities in the room is also very good - there is a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker as well. Super clean and beautiful room and bathroom.

We had a fantastic stay at II Murice. Susanna and her husband were wonderful hosts. She helped us find parking for the train to Cinque Terre and recommended several restaurants. The patio and garden are beautiful with amazing views. The room was clean and very nice and breakfast was delicious.

I was looking for a quiet place to relax for an evening whilst traveling through the area- it was exactly what I needed. Beautiful garden with nice view, quiet and sparkling clean room with comfortable bed and nice shower. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and extremely generous- freshly made sweet and savory items, proper fluffy pastries, fresh fruit and juice, yogurts, coffee.
Hosts were friendly and attentive- provided great restaurant recommendations (though I was too exhausted from travel and ordered from their recommended pizza place- which was very good).
Also a note about the finer details:
- plug sockets are the Italian/European, so no need for adaptor, not always the case in Italy
- cold bottles of water in the fridge, nice and refreshing after a long drive
- coffee and tea in the room (and biscuits :) )
- aircon, hairdryer, access to iron and ironing board, little microwave in the room
I actually liked the location (and purposely chose somewhere outside main towns), but just a few notes:
- best/easiest reached by private car (rather than public transport)
- not within easy walking distance to restaurants (it is on a hill- which means there are great views!), so come prepared to drive (great restaurant recommendations from host), order in (again, great pizza delivery), or self cater (mini fridge in room, so this is possible)
- about 25 minutes drive to Portovenere/La Spezia and easy access to autostrada, BUT, be very careful with Google directions. Google took me to an auto pass only exit and I got stuck at the gates and had to get assistance. Hosts kindly wrote me a letter to take to the punto blu office to pay the toll the following day, but there was a long queue, so I lost about an hour waiting! Not worth the 5 minutes that google saved me!!
It was exactly what I was looking for, but do note the location as it might not meet the needs of all travellers.
