The location is really special. The Residenza is located in the middle of the old town. The views are amazing. Maria - Theresa is a wonderful host. Very hospitable and always ready to help.

The location is amazing. The sea view from the terrace is the Best. Nice place for relaxation. The most important thing is Maria Teresa, she is very helpful and available every time. She made our stay amazing.

Gorgeous historical building tastefully restored with amazing original features throughout. The room had views of the sea, and the shared roof terrace has an almost 360 view of the mountains and sea. Stunning location in tiny but enchanting town. Maria Teresa was a friendly, accommodating and helpful host.

This property feels like you are staying in a historic museum, there are so many interesting things to look at and explore. The property is large, and the rooftop terrace is spectacular. The host, Maria Theresa, is incredible - she was so helpful, kind and clearly very passionate about the Borgo and the palazzo.

Very special place. Affiliated restaurant is phenomenal, likewise the breakfast with all kinds of local and homemade delights. We will be back.

MARIA OUR HOST WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC..she is tiny and friendly, went out of her way to accommodate any need from our side ...even assisted in carrying our heavy luggage .She is a jewel and runs the place fantastic.A huge salute to a super host Breakfast .Italian style was served by her and she gave a lot of attention to serve us with traditional cakes and bread ..Thanks a lot for your kindness. The place is a heritage site all over and the care to the buildings is fenomenal..Super clean and tidy .
Carry the luggage is a bit difficult ..think the owners must pay attention to the parking and loading of luggage ..

Beautiful restored historic house in the center of the small village.
Nice view of the sea from the room and the terrace.
Very friendly staff
Very good breakfast.
Restaurant of the same owner is just a few minutes away.
Parking is a little tricky (as the entire village is situated on a hill), baggage has to be carried through quite steep and narrow lanes.
But no problem, as the friendly staff was pleased to assist!

The Residenza is a radically restored and updated stone-built mediaeval tower on the sea-facing edge of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, located on a promontory reached by a serpentine roadway. The convivio is approached through a maze of 'cobbled' streets some of which are merely narrow alleyways. So if you want the charm like we did you can't expect on-street parking around the corner. Our charming, linguistically gifted, diminutive but energetic host Maria Teresa asked us to phone on arrival and insisted on carrying both our large bags about 200 yards and up three flights of stairs to our room. Our room was typical of the rest of the palazzo, which was embellished with an eclectic mix of antique furniture and repurposed objects that included two woodwork benches. Outside there was a vertiginous terrace reached by a spiral staircase that provided spectacular views of the sea and sunset. We were also advised about the availability of an evening meal at the connected restaurant which we used twice and enjoyed all the typical Calabrian dishes on offer. Breakfast was straightforward but abundant and tasty. When we needed to depart early our host was only to pleased to adapt to our needs. The local residents were very friendly. We enjoyed a private showing of the Persebe, which is a massive nativity scene based on the local geography.
Any tiny defects were insignificant compared to the pleasure of being here for too short a stay, but it would be impossible to accommodate any one with reduced mobility.

This house was so beautiful and cozy. My room was HUGE and had a desk, fireplace and large bed. The bathroom was also very large. The breakfast was incredible and the hostess was as hardworking and caring as you could hope for.

Such a fantastic and unique stay. So happy we found this hidden gem for one night. The town, accommodation, food, wine, and hospitality was exceptional. Maria Teresa was such a lovely host and took good care of us and made sure we tried the best food and wine of the area. To be able to visit and stay in such a beautiful place without being overrun with tourists is amazing. If you want a unique and memorable experience then I highly suggest this lovely place. The food was incredible and the stay was a highlight of our southern Italy trip.

Fantastic experience! It was an amazing stay. Unforgetable and in an exceptional place- 16th centuary house, with a view on a sea and medieval village.
Thanks a lot to Maria Teresa for her welcome.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great views. Beautiful building and location itself.
Breakfast was SO disappointing! Not at all what was described. Not enough food for our big company (like, four small yogurts for nine people).
