Friendly receptionist
Room too hot, wall to thin you hear every thingoutside and room next door, windows no double glazed. Issue with flicking light, which caused a headache and reception was aware of it but couldn't do anything. It had been ongoing for weeks, was told. No hand soap wash. No hair dryer in room.

Service! We were welcomed in the reception by Seetsa. What a lovely, warm and yet professional welcome it was. If it wasn’t for Seetsa I would give this hotel much lower rating. He went above and beyond to help. Seetsa is so professional and polite and his attention to detail is exceptional. That’s what we need in this country, especially in hospitality industry- professionalism with some personal touch and lovely manners. Thank you for everything, Seetsa!
Comfortable bed, the size of the room, views from my room.
3.3
Great view from bedroom looking over the river.
Bathroom wasnt clean, no toilet brush. Looks like the property is being renovated, lots of building material around and untidy appearance.
3.3
Yeh hotel is lovely. Modern and clean. The beds are so comfortable. Location is good. Right next to the bars and restaurants.
The breakfast isn’t great
3.3
Room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful
not having been told that the restaurant was closed was very disappointing, and should have been warned as would have looked to stay elsewhere
3.3
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Both rooms were clean and one was updated. Location is amazing.
Didn't realise that there were building works happening at the property and that the restaurant was not open.
3.3
Location
Beds were very very small.
Don’t think they were even a double bed.
Bathroom not very clean and when you had shower water overflowed, didn’t go down the drain quick enough. Outside seating area wasn’t clean either.
3.3
The view was lovely when the doors to the balcony were open as the windows were very dirty
Unfortunately they were having refurbishment and the restaurant and bar were not available ! I feel this should have been mentioned to at least pre warn anyone potentially looking to book it certainly isn’t as described and that was disappointing !
3.3
Location very good local to the St Ives just a very short walk the hotel is in the process of being up-graded at the time of our visit but every thing was very clean and comfortable
no hair drier in the room ???
3.3
Comfy clean bed, good cooked breakfast, lovely balcony view.
Site needed a sweep up and cobwebs dusted away. No mirror in room, only bathroom. Bathroom a little tatty. Dining room a little basic, hot water urn not working both mornings, no extra plates for pastries, no marmalade, no sauces second morning. Cooked breakfast was nice though. Temporary reception not really selling hotels potential.
3.3
The location
The hotel facilities weren't available no breakfast/ terrace not open therefore the selling point of the location was not met
3.3
nothing
all of it
3.3
newly refurbished rooms quite nice
3.3
the location was perfect
the outside looks lovely. I think the rooms were very dated, in a ground floor room with no nets so couldn’t open the curtains, the staff were sat in coats
3.3
Bathroom was amazingVery close to town centre, all staff we saw were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, great view one side. Very comfortable,
Bar was closed, but in covid conditions this can't be helped.
Pre ordering breakfast night before, again covid ?

They didn't have any catering facilities. Otherwise fine.
Quite expensive for what I got.
It was a little souless. Just a room and no other facilities.
3.3
ease of check-in
i got a parking fine of which i've challenged
3.3
Bedroom was clean
Arrived to discover the restaurant and bar was shut for a 3 month refurb. This information should have been advised on the booking
3.3
Location of hotel is nice .
Was not informed renovations were taking place.
Beds did not have mattress covers under the sheets nor on the pillows
3.3
Location and parking excellent
Twin room and while the beds were clean mine had a caster missing. We paid extra for breakfast £10 each it was appalling we complained but was still charged.
The hotel is apparently in the process of being renovated which should have been mentioned when booking as quite a bit was shut down
3.3
nothing

overpriced
rude staff
very average rooms

The staff at the Dolphin Hotel were all amazing, particularly Liz the manager and her team. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you.
There was nothing I didn’t like.
3.3
good spacious room
3.3
There was no breakfast
Everything probably the worst hotel I have stayed in
3.3
The property was easy to find
The windows are single glazed and allow the street noise of people going into/out of town to disrupt sleep (at 4am !). There was no heating. There is no thermostat, I was told to open the radiator control to have heating. This was too tight to turn, -hence no heating.
The door handles, doors, and all surfaces in the room were 'sticky'. The room also had a slight, odour of smoking.
3.3
Excellent quiet location in the centre of picturesque St Ives. Staff attentive and although they are modernising parts of the property the bits that have been done are of a good standard.
3.3
Good location with good views
Could’ve told us the bar was shut!!! 😂😂
3.3
Got to the room it was small and grotty, and dirty. complained and they moved us to a bigger room, better but still not good . the staff were helpful. Only good thing was the view
Everything! The bathroom was awful cracked tiles, chipped and stained toilet seat, filthy wall tiles and grout, just a dirty poor standard hotel. Generally the whole of the hotel was run down.
3.3
Our room was very pleasant, the breakfast was very good, the hotel is in a fabulous location overlooking the river with a short walk into town.
The hotel is very tired & needs upgrading, the restaurant was not open, no reason given, we were told that the bar would close at 7pm that is not satisfactory. With its location it should be popular.
