Hospitality is unmatched, my bed was comfy and I felt very safe and rested in the hostel.

Exactly as advertised and as can be expected for a hostel - happy with the experience.
Nothing - it was all pretty good for what you are paying for and the fact it is a hostel.

The accommodation is in a quite good location, although we had to walk 3 km to the city center, but it's right by the ocean, which is very beautiful. The WIFI is good, there are plenty of power outlets, everything is clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped as well.
The room is rather small considering it has a 4-tier bunk bed. Bring a padlock, as you either need to buy or rent one. There is NO luggage storage available (even though Booking.com states this)! The windows cannot be fully opened, only a small part, so there's a bit of a lack of air in the room...

Clean and nice. Friendly people
Lockers can be bigger

None
Refuse to give regular key for the room, I ask the because I am religious and can’t use the electronic one in Saturday

I liked that there was is a coffee/bar downstairs, and a full size kitchen where we could cook our own meals.
I stayed at multiple hostels during my trip, and I have to say, this particular hostel was at the bottom of the list. The showers were dirty, there was no toilet paper or soap, the common areas were unkempt, and the bunk beds were incredibly squeaky, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The bed was a bit tiny and it moved a lot

No free storage space. No free lock for locker. Only can use small lock for locker and I brought the regular size lock.

The location was great with a convenience store just across the road and a bakery and café next door.
There's plenty of free parking on the roadside next to the hostel and nearby. It's also a short walk or drive to downtown Reykjavík.
There's no staff at the hostel, everything needs to be done virtually. They did not provide me with a check in code in advance and I had to ask my friend who already reached a day early to help me with getting in touch with them.
The beds have no privacy curtains and whenever someone on the top bunk moves, the entire bed shakes and squeaks. There's only two small windows in the room one can open, so it gets stuffy very easily.

The hostel is quite near from the city center as well as the coast.
It us also appreciable that the hostel has a café/restaurant.
Furthermore, you have a locker and different plugs to reload your electronic devices.
There is no hairdryer and no towel.
3.9
the property is close to the city center and there street parking available for free.
Anyone can enter into the hostel from the cafe during the day so that felt a bit unsafe. There was also no staff at the hostel at night for security or if you needed a towel or anything. I hope they have a number you can call at least if you got locked out or that would totally suck since you’d have to wait to get it till the next day. The sinks in the bathrooms were small so you there was always water all over the corner tops.

It was in a quiet zone but not too far from the city ! It's easy to check in and out, well deserved with transport. The rooms are spacious and there a enought bathrooms ans restrooms for everyone to use.
The beds are a little old. they make a lot of noise and move easily so it's easy to wake up your room mates...

Lækur hostel is a great place to spend a first night in Iceland. Beds are ok and the bathroom clean. There is a convenient little kitchen. There is also the Lækur café which seems great but if you arrive too late like us (after 9 pm) you will can't enjoy it. At a walking distance there is an AMAZING bakery. Just for that reason you have to stay there.
The room was too warm.

There is a café at the ground floor. Parking was plenty. Lockers are plenty in the hall but not big enough to hold large bags.
At check in they gave very little info (missing info on kitchen, no pin code to open the doors w/o a key, no explanation of bathroom concept male female, etc.). They also never replied to my inquiries before check in. The rooms are too small, the windows are leaking water throughout the night, it is quite dirty and the guests are nasty too and destroy the place. When people cook/roast garlic in the kitchen, the entire place up to bedrooms smells und no one opens the windows. I was glad to check out. Will not return.

The hostel is very cozy and convenient. There is the cafe next to the hostel, where they make coffee and some traditional Icelandic dishes. The shore is 5 min away on foot with the fantastic view.
The property is a bit far from the center, about 40 min away on foot (also there is a bus stop) but if you like silence and quietness this place is a great choice.

Minor details were not totally good, but all in all good.

Kitchen facilities were ok. Bathrooms were clean and beds were fine. For adventure traveling nothing else you will need considering how pricey Iceland is.
The only thing I didn't understand - in booking.com it's marked "travel sustainable" but which part of the hostel is sustainable ?

Hate mobs attacked me at this hostel after the reception had closed who hacked my Phone and systematically sought to harass me including by keeping me from sleeping. I had to report to the police. Never had this happen to me before in Iceland

The atmosphere is really good. The kitchen is on the first floor, so is far away from the rooms, which is perfect to avoid noise and stuff.
The literas are not really comfortable. It's too easy to feel any movement for the another person if you on the bottom or on the top

Good vibes with lots of fun travelers. There was easy street parking, excellent kitchen, good bathrooms, and good wifi.
It is very hard to communicate directly with the people who run the hostel. If a problem does occur, it is very difficult to get in contact with anyone after 11 PM, which is when we tried to check in. Our issue was that they had overbooked the room and there was only one bed available when we needed two.We also found their check-in instructions quite condusing
