Friendly staff: The staff was helpful and accommodating, we were not told we had to pay in cash until we arrived, but the owner allowed us to pay via PayPal without an extra fee.
Quiet location: Despite being near a bar, the noise was minimal, especially during your stay. However, this may vary during peak season when the bar closes later and there are more people.
Convenient amenities: The accommodation offers a water dispenser, shared fridge, and shared kitchen for guest use.
Great location: Close to downtown tour agencies, restaurants, the beach, and flamingo sightings.
Cleanliness: The room was cleaned daily, and towels were provided fresh each day.
- Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi proved to be a major drawback. It was completely unavailable in our room, forcing us and other guests to congregate outside the office (outdoors) for internet access. This significantly impacted functionality and could be a deal-breaker for travelers who rely on consistent Wi-Fi connectivity for work like us.
- The short curtains in the room exposed guests to outside views, raising privacy concerns. This is a significant oversight that needs to be addressed to ensure guest comfort and privacy.
- The rooms were on the smaller side and lacked sufficient storage space, even when just occupied by two guests with two beds. This could pose challenges for organization and unpacking luggage comfortably.
- We run out of hot water in a minute on the first night shower. It was due to a gas tank running out of gas. While the issue may have been resolved the day after, it highlights the need for better maintenance and ensuring guests have access to basic amenities like hot water throughout their stay.
- While the daily replacement of towels is commendable, their poor condition, characterized by age and wear, detracted from the overall experience. Some of them even had stains and threads falling off when using them.
- The presence of dirty window tracks, unpatched holes in walls, rusted shower curtain, and chipped bathroom tiles detracted from the overall aesthetics of the room and created a sense of neglect..
- The old and creaky beds disrupted sleep due to noise generated with minimal movement. This could be a significant concern for travelers seeking a restful night's sleep.
- The presence of stains on bed sheets and some towels falls short of expectations, but I guess you get what you pay for at ~$50/night
- The scarcity of taxis in the area, especially during early mornings, necessitates advanced planning when arranging transportation for early ferries. Staff was nice to help out with arrangements.

Location and the staff responded quickly to our issue that the AC wasn’t working. They went out of their way to fix it and gave us another room whilst dealing with the AC
No bikes as advertised.

Die wlan Verbindung war nicht immer gut und es gab nicht immer warmes Wasser (bei den Temperaturen überhaupt nicht schlimm war)

On the edge of town just across the street from a long beautiful beach, and right adjacent to a beachfront bar with shade, a nice breeze, and hammocks. One drink and you can hang out for hours. Rooms are clean, air conditioned, and there is a common kitchen and refrigerator.
Abel, the manager, went out of his way to be helpful and make recommendations and reservations for activities at no mark up.
When the air conditioner in my room broke, he apologized profusely, called a technician, and when it couldn’t be fixed, switched my room.
Well, it’s hot in the Galapagos, but it’s not their fault!
10.0 / 10.0
The property is basic. It has all you need to be comfortable:air conditioning, purified water, good bed, clean. The manager is fantastic and helps whenever you need it! It’s close to town. Water pressure is great. And the shower is big! There is a common kitchen for all to use. The view is fabulous and you are just a few feet from the beach. I would return.
Some people wont like that there is no tv. I personally like that there isn’t one! I would have liked shampoo in the bathroom because I don’t travel with shampoo. This is a minor thing.

The owner was so helpful, informative and kind. Location is a little out of town so was quiet but great for cycle path and Pozo Vilamil. Five minute walk to the centre. Was surprised how good the internet was.
Room was a little small and water in the shower was extremely hot,

Beautiful and peaceful location at the end of the road in Puerto Villamil. Right at the beach. Room daily cleaned, breakfast possible for good price. Good wifi. Free drinking water. The host Abel is so sweet, welcoming and helpful. Always smiling and cheerful. He helped us booking a great tour to the Sierra Negra and sulfur mine and arranged the ferry back to Santa Cruz. Definitely stay here again. Thank you so much Abel!

Absolutely spectacular views as right on the beachfront. Falling asleep to the sound of waves is magical. The staff are lovely and very helpful.
Nothing to report.

The reception guy is an amazing person, super helpful and friendly! Helped with everything I needed.
The room was pretty big at the third floor, beach front, good spacious bathroom, good beach ij front for chilling.
A bit far from the city center, like 12-15 min walk, super dark at night, can be a bit tiring.
Breakfast not included but could be added for 6 dollars - fruits, bread, butter, jam, juice, eggs and coffee.
Shower is not so good, just a small quantity of water spread all around.

great location if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet. The view of the beach from the bed is amazing! the staff is very nice and helpful.

Close to the beach and hammocks in the common area.
Make sure to pick the room carefully. We chose this place because we wanted a place with a beautiful sea view, but the room we booked was actually in the first floor and there was no sea view. Instead, we had a view to a shed with tools and building materials laying around the yard. With another room, this could have been a very different experience.

I enjoyed my stay here. Room with ocean view. Quiet, just the sound of the waves. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Shower with hot water. They have a water bottle refill station. Hotel is right in front of the beach. I would come back.
The wifi is poor in the room. At the reception the wifi is better.

La Jungla is the last property on the beach, in Isabella. The room, in keeping with the ambiance of the island, was basic but clean and comfortable with direct access to the ocean and had 2 windows which maximised air flow. The property offers breakfast at an extra cost and has a shared kitchen and eating area. Being the last property, it's situated far enough away from the area with beach bars, cafes, shops and noise, which are a mere 10min walk away. The island itself is just perfect if you want nature, sandy roads, peace and safety. It offers free drinking water. The are marine iguana everywhere.
The wifi on the island is not the best which affects the wifi at the property.

I loved that the property is right in front of the beach! Abel, the owner, was very kind and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable; he also guided us with what we could do on the island! The room was always clean!
The experience was great, really.

great location and staff very helpful
The water system makes a racket the pump is noisy and fireworks sound for when the water needs heating. don’t let this put you off as it’s a great location and reasonably priced and island life means infrastructure is always challenging

Staff were super friendly, room was lovely with aircon. Price was reasonable. Would recommend. While the location was out of the way, it was right on top of a really quiet and stunning beach which we were able to see a shark from. Also right around the corner from a flamingo lagoon
No problems

The owner Abel is always very responsive to messages and all our questions. His wife is very nice too.
Our room is facing the sea. With powerful aircon and good hot shower.
We got our room cleaned every two days, which is enough and reasonable.
Free drinking water and shared fridge in the shared kitchen are handy.
It's about 5-10 minutes walk to the center but the village is very small. The sea is right in front of us, one minute walk for the sunrise or sunset.
More places to leave things like bedside tables will be better.
WiFi is slow but it's the same on the whole island.

This hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking Isabela beach. It was lovely being able to go down the stairs and across the beach straight into the ocean. We had a big room and the owner was very considerate, checking that we were able to get to the ferry on time.
There were no bedside lamps, and at one point no water came out if the shower or sink faucets for about five minutes. There was no breakfast and so it would have been nice to have a fridge in the room.
9.0 / 10.0
Place was quiet, ocean view from room and balcony, very short walk to get to beach. Comfortable bed. Shared kitchen was clean. Short walk to town for food and supplies. Nice host. Incredible place for the price.
10.0 / 10.0
This hotel is a great value! It's at the far end of town so its pretty quiet, but within a 10 minute walk of the town center. Right on the beach, communal kitchen and dining area, good water, clean rooms, and the staff are extremely nice!
BRING ENOUGH CASH TO PAY FOR YOUR ROOM! This is very common on Isabela Island so you should be prepared anyways, but we wouldn't have known if we didn't call ahead. Also breakfast was $5 but again, that's common.
