Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en het avondeten was echt geweldig. Een 3 gangendiner voor 25 dollar, echt heerlijk.
we hebben hier niets op aan te merken. Alles was fijn.

The manager was friendly, greeted us with welcome drinks. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The maid and waitress were both very friendly.
The bartender was rude, not very friendly. He had an attitude, don't know why. The beach access was not very close. No taxi services due to the holiday. Pool was a little dirty.

This is where to stay, best local, best pumpkin soup lol, on the whole island. Pool was great, super clean, super hosts. I will return here if i ever come back to Isabela Island. Location ! Location ! Location ! Super special, especially for this island.

warm welcome of the manager of the place, comfortable bed and room, the port and la concha de perla nearby for snorkeling, good breakfast. as we were leaving very early on the last day, the manager lady prepared us a little breakfast station at our disposal. thank you!

Breakfast was so fresh and delicious.
Location was just right for easy access to town, marina & snorkeling.

Its very peaceful place, rooms are clean and big and beatiful ! Its only 5 min. walking to the harbour and to concha de perla - great place for snorkeling and for free !
There is no TV in the room, what I prefer, but the working people there have one in the lobby and she is watching the most of the day spanish series...not so nice if you want to relax...

The staff is friendly, the breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is great - it's in between the main town area and the pier (where you can snorkel and see the sea lions, iguanas and crabs hanging out), so a short walk to both.
Internet isn't great but that was common in the Galapagos. We paid more money than it looked like others were charging for the tours they arranged for us but we never figured out why that was so I would say shop the tours.

Nice place, very helpful owner with excellent English who kindly got us last-minute reservations for a volcano tour. Tasty breakfast in the outdoor patio. Our room was clean and pleasant.
Our room was pretty small. Location is close to the dock but a dusty walk to town. I sent a couple messages via Booking.com before our trip and never heard back. Like elsewhere on Isabela, the wifi is extremely limited. Note that the hotel prefers to be paid in cash.

Really nice hotel, with good amenities. Breakfast was delicious.
Wifi is not very good. Lots of bugs and mosquitos in the room. They can do a better job of preventing/removing insects from the room.

Cozy hotel with great food and friendly staff. Family owned and run.
It’s almost out of town, although this has its benefits as it’s pretty much the first hotel closest to the port

Jose Carlos took such great care of us during our stay and helped to coordinate one of our last minute tours. Closest hotel to Concha de Perla snorkeling and to the FERRY PIER. Restaurant meals on site upon request (breakfast was included). Great facilities for scuba/snorkelers wanting to rinse gear and hang dry safely outside.

The vibe was great! We had a good time just chilling in the lounge on the second floor. The manager (Jose) and all other staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a boat at 5:30am and Jose got up at 5 to make sure we had some coffee and bread before we departed. The location was also great - 10mins walk to the main street for food and 5mins walk to the pier and Concha y Pearla (this is the best location for snorkeling on Isabella cuz you dont need a tour or a boat and you just dive in, and this became our usual hang-out sport after breakfast). In fact the hotel is one of the few hotels that are close to the ferry.
The water pressure was unstable. The manager arranged another room for us. The situation became better after we changed rooms, but was still somewhat unstable.

Bed and room were comfortable, chilling area in front of the room was nice and the hot shower was wonderful.
In our opinion it‘s too expensive for what you get and how you’re treated. In this price range we would have expected more. Especially when ut comes to the little things (that often count the most):
- As our hiking tour to the volcano started early in the morning (7.30) we asked the manager the night before if it was possible to get breakfast a little earlier (15 minutes before it regularly started). Unfortunately, the next morning they told us at 7.15 that there was no bread so we just got some fruits before the 5 hour hike.
- For special dietary preferences (which were no problem in all the other places we stayed in during our 2 month trip) they only offered a solution on our last day.
- Even though, it is a family who runs the hotel and the hotel looks like a cosy little place to stay. The atmosphere feels more as you‘re just a number in a big hotel complex.

Wooden House is a great little boutique B&B run very efficiently by young Jose. It is walking distance from the pier - we took taxis because of luggage but they are very cheap. It is an easy walk from the hotel to the beach and town in one direction and in the other to the best self snorkeling area ever, Concha de Perla (near the pier). The hotel's aesthetic reminded me of a Japanese house - all wooden with sliding doors, nice cool and breezy common sitting area just outside the rooms on the upper floor which has a good view of the ocean across the street. The breakfast is excellent and Jose was very accommodating about having it ready before early trips. We also had dinner and drinks there which is very convenient. There was always hot water for showers, plenty of drinking water, water for brushing teeth as tap water can't be used for that, convenient drying line outdoors, onsite laundry service, convenient outlets for charging phones, batteries, etc. Jose is very helpful with information about sight seeing locations, restaurants, calling for taxis, and arranging trips - like the excellent one to the highlands when we had a spare morning. There is a place onsite for rental snorkeling gear, wet suits, etc. The staff were friendly and kept the place very clean.
I did not realize that the hotel is located on the heavily traveled main road from the pier to the town. So, it can get noisy with all the trucks going up and down when ferries/tours arrive and depart.
The room we had was small with the bed occupying most of it. There is no safe in the room, so be prepared to lock your suitcase if you need to. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors and sounds from the kitchen and dining area - we were lucky in that we were the only ones in that wing/hotel for most of our stay.
Wifi is slow which can be a problem when it comes to paying with a credit card - we ended up having to pay with cash. Luckily we had enough to cover our stay.

Choose it for the location -it was a 5 min walk from the boat landing. It is also walking distance from the restaurants.
The staff was friendly. There are nice outdoor seating areas.
The booking stated "Garden view". There wasn't a single plant visible out of my window. Not even potted. Just patio inside the property. An accurate description would warranty better reviews.
WiFi didn't work but not sure if it was the hotel's problem or island-wide.

Very nice and friendly family owned hotel. We got the biggest room (really big), and staff is always willing to help and support. Fresh caught fish for dinner, awesome! Little bar for a cold one also great!
Was all good!

WOW!! if you’re thinking ab this place, book your stay NOW! This was my absolute FAVORITE place in all of Isabella. the facilities are simply AMAZING, breakfast is delicious and plentiful, the woodwork is so beautiful and tasteful. and most of all the owners and employees make you feel like a family, in their kindness and care.
for example, the owner asked me what tour I was doing and reminded me to wear sneakers because of the lava rocks & told me to rent wet suits when I was there because the water would be very cold. they helped me grab last minute ferry tickets in that moment, quite late in the night. further, after the most wonderful week here, I left my phone charging in the reception area and accidentally left for another island! I realized the moment I got on the ferry, and I was so scared because attached to my phone is my credit cards, ID, even a bunch of cash. anywhere else, anyone could have easily taken it and walked away, gone. but not at the wooden house. they messaged me right away on booking telling me not to worry, and it so happened the owner was coming to Santa Cruz and BROUGHT MY PHONE DIRECTLY TO MY DOOR of my next hotel. the level of integrity, honestly, kindness, compassion, and love in the management of the wooden house is unparalleled to any where else in the whole world. I am genuinely so grateful, & I will come back here again and again.
I loved everything. ( :

great charming hotel. really nice atmosphere and relaxing setup. all es almost perfect.
good services and breakfast.
they were really helpful and organized several excursions for me.
there is some miscommunication between the staff and the people that manage the . I paid for a deluxe room but got checked in standard. had to point that out and show them the booking room in order to fix it. true that I booked a day before that, but even this is not a big excuse. and yet they could not figure which room I booked. In booking.com there was a balcony listed but I am not sure there is any room with balcony there, mine didn’t have at least.
Another point of the miscommunication is they send you some details in the confirmation email like offer for a discount for excursions on another island. the staff was not aware of this and had to check it out. Then they had to send me the offer to my email, which never happened as it did not arrive and due to that I missed one of my planned excursions to Bartolomé island because of this total lack of communication.
The bathroom light was so dim I could not shave even with the outside light. Basically unusable.
Don’t rent the snorkel equipment from the dive center there, it’s the worst quality I’ve tried on the islands and it’s not worth the 5$.
there are no TVs in the rooms, not that I needed it, but for some people might be good info. only one in the lobby.
internet is unusable literally. but I guess that is in the whole island.

The location is a short walk from the pier and to the best snorkeling on the island. The rooms are very nice. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. Nice shower pressur. Wendy is an amazing hostess. Great food. This is the only place I'll stay at when visiting the island.
