A nice place to stay in Moorea if you're on a budget. There is a nice kitchen with all you need if you wish to cook, and it is located within walking distance of one of the public beaches in Moorea. We were able to check in early which was much appreciated after a long flight!
They have a dog which is nice but it can be a bit energetic at first. They do not offer towels for free even in the bungalows.

I visited in April 2023. Clean room, kitchen and grounds. Individual safes to keep belongings such as laptop etc. Bungalows for those that prefer their own room with a private bathroom. Mosquito net over bed helped a lot. Very pleasant hosts! On premises parking if you rented a car or scooter. Designated space in refrigerator. Designated sealed storage for non-refrigerated food. Free wifi, but only for low bandwidth applications (checking email...but no movie or video streaming).
Natural critters in the bungalow. I think the bungalow has more of these since it is more secluded and has much less foot traffic than the dorms. 2-3" cockroaches. 3-5" spiders. 7-8" centipedes. They mean you no harm and they are not their all the time (mostly night time - nocturnal hunters) but they will shock you if you don't come from or live in an area with these critters. I adapted somewhat (light keeps away nocturnal critters) but it took several nights. Future visitors should be aware of this if they are sensitive to these types of critters. I would stay again...but in the dorms since nobody in the dorms had critter issues probably due to the aforementioned foot traffic keeping the critters away. Obviously no food in room. A larger sign on the main road would be nice. I always drove by a minimum of two times before the landmarks hit me. :)

I had an amazing time here. Such a chilled vibe and so relaxing. Really enjoyed my time at the hostel and met some great people! Would definitely stay here again 😄

Great kitchen and communal area.
really pret try garden. nice decking outside of our hut to relax. free bananas from the garden!
good info about what to do and how to do it
location worked well for us, you are in the middle of two beautiful bays. The beach is 25 mins walk away. for everywhere else you will need transport . Good value for money.
very small bed in the hut for 2. mosquito net is very necessary but pretty restrictive, you cannot relax in bed. Not enough loo roll on arrival, very loud chickens for neighbours who woke me up daily at 4:30

although it was a dormitory you had your own room as it was split into segments, had a safe for your valuables, shower and toilet where clean, the kitchen was well equipped and had a box of food like pasta that you could use for free

This is probably the best backpacker in terms of value for money that I have done in my life. I’ve travelled 30 countries and it’s the most tranquil place I’ve ever been to. The division of the beds in the form area is amazing, it feels like you have your own room. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully equipped and well maintained. The staff is lovely. Camille is welcoming, very helpful and resourceful! Rent a scooter at your arrival and enjoy this beautiful island that has so much to offer!
Nothing! But just it is good to know that:
Some people were annoyed by the roasters singing at sunrise but I didn’t mind, I grew up in the countryside and I’m awake early anyway.
Some people thought they could grab a bus to move around but a scooter or a car is a necessity. I loved having mine. It’s super fuel-efficient and gives you absolute freedom on the island.
Bring mosquito repellent when you stay in the kitchen area! The rooms have mosquito protections!

Great quiet location, friendly and welcoming, very clean and well kept, impressive shared open air kitchen, close to a great beach park with awesome parking, I was traveling alone and my wife only likes nicer hotels--I would totally bring her back to stay here! Bravo! Value unmatched.
Dogs on property left a present on the ground that I stepped on. But I should have been watching better. Seems perfectly understandable for the location. I used a hose nearby to clean up said shoe and my rental car mat that got soiled too.

Low key, mosquito nets, pretty to wake up to in the morning.

absolutely wonderful hostel. The dorm rooms are semi private and extremely clean. The shared showers and common areas are well stocked and spacious. The location is great, and with limited beds it makes a very quiet and relaxing place to stay- I wish I could have stayed longer!
My bed was very squeaky

Each person has their own small room. There is a good fan in each room. Kitchen has great pots and pans.
All the roosters in the, area, but that is common all over FP. A warm shower once in a while would be nice.

Lovely place, great family welcome, beautiful garden and bungalows, location not far from a great beach - the first day we walked, but later on was easier by car.
wifi connection was sporadic

Nothing
Took them 8 hours to decide if I can get a towel, until I declined. It's wayyyyyyy overpriced. Worth 20 usd. Open so that mosquitoes can fly in. I hated everything there. Everything.

separate bed units were great (allowed for a bit more privacy compared to a traditional hostel)

Such a beautiful place. The facilities are great and have everything you need, and the outdoor sitting area is a nice area to relax and meet other people. The dorm is very comfortable, and because there are partitions it really feels like having your own room. I loved my stay here and would definitely stay again!

almost like semi private room - mosquito net permanently installed so only need to zip in and out which I really liked. big kitchen-double sinks burners etc. and well organized for storing dry stuff in bins. close to very nice public beach but long walk. easy bike ride about 1 km. enjoyed balcony with hammock!
not so much property but lots of roosters nearby that are very loud-common issue!!

The owner was very kind and helpful with good suggestions. location was pretty walkable to a public beach and some restaurants. It was a very charming and relaxing place. We didn't see too many mosquitoes during our stay but that could have been due to the weather. There were nets around the beds which we appreciated. This place satisfied our desire to just catch up on sleep.
The bed was a little too soft for me and with the net felt too short but nothing major.
I always forget this about hostels but towels are not provided and not sure if they will. We found our own solution.
The wifi was very dependent on the weather. When raining it was a bit flaky other than that it worked just fine.

with the curtain almost like having a private room. The shared kitchen was huge with double everything: 2 sinks, fridges, stovetop burners etc. and 2 shared bathrooms and showers for the bungalow so never a problem.
The roosters are everywhere and loud at night but this is common. earplugs can help!

Tucked away at the base of the mountains, this location is luscious & peaceful. Very close to an incredible public beach, 30 minute walk or 10 minute bike ride. The open kitchen is great for cooking any meal & the hostel beds are very private :) Marie is amazing & will assist in any way to make your stay comfortable. Moorea is heaven & I loved staying here!!!

Pretty much everything was great!
Bed was quite small for me as a tall person but would definitely visit again

Room with private bathroom for a reasonable price. Clean room, spacious terrace and a large shared bathroom. Great location for trips.
People smoke in shared areas (kitchen). Unfortunately there are hundreds of mosquitoes and an unsealed roof through which they get inside. Due to the mosquitoes you can't even go to the toilet normally.
8.0 / 10.0
Very clean, good communal kitchen, good fan, good mosquito net (much needed), nice verandah, good bathroom
Swarms of mosquitos (rainy season), bungalows very expensive for position, size and "furnish"
