Boa opção para estadias curtas.

Pequeno almoço. Localização. Tudo limpo. Funcionarios muito prestativos e simpáticos. Boa opção para visitar Amarante.

Casa de banho aberta para o quarto e lavatório muito pequenino. Falta espaço para apoiar coisas. O chão do quarto fazia barulho ao andar. Ficamos num quarto no ultimo andar e estava muito calor o que obrigava a dormir com o A/C ligado. Ficamos todos com dor de garganta.

Al primer vistazo bien, al final no lo recomendaría

La decoración es bonita, parece limpio al principio. Las camas no hacen ruido y no están mal para dormir. La terraza.

Si miras los detalles no es tan limpio : Las spongeas para limpiar los platos huelen fatal. No hay intimidad el los baños. No me parce muy higiénico las cortinas. El desayuno para las habitaciones compartidas era aparte, a la mitad de la hora que se puede comer no había nada. Securidad : las puertas no ciernen, en la habitacion de 8 camas, las llaves para los lockers no funcionaba, todo estaba mezclado y por mi caso no pude encontrar a un locker que funciona. Si 2 personas duermen en camas al lado, no hay intimidad.

Bonne adresse pour visiter amarante

Tout. L’appartement est situé au centre de la bourgade dans le vieux Amarante. Le lits est très confortable et propre, tout le nécessaire pour se doucher était présent. Le petit déjeuner copieux et très bon. Le personnel très gentil. Je re commande

Peut être juste les appartements donnant sur la rué on entend les voitures passer mais le nuit pas de passage donc nuit tranquille.

Segregation at its finest, not what you paid for

The location and most of the staff were excellent and very nice, tried their best, and I do not blame those that were forced to lie to me by their manager.

I paid for a room with aircon, what got was a room with broken aircon, and they knew, but told me they would get it fixed but no one was available to fix it until next day, when I asked next day, was told they did not know and would get back to me....which of course they did not. They did put a smal fan in the room, didn't help much. The room smelled like fish all the time, bad, and if you opened the door to the outside you got the noise from patio area crowd. The door only locked if you turned the little door lock, you had to lock it this way each time. The washrooms were a pain, with timed lights that only lasted a few minutes, so while showering, they would go out, and you had to exit the shared washroom and move your arms to active the lights. This was worse when you were doing the poop, and you had to pinch a loaf and get up, open the door and wave your arms....seriously. The free breakfast was not fit for prisoners, old bread, cheapest "meat and cheese" and warm milk....not even juice or water as that was reserved for the upper floors. They really made you feel segregated, and poor, in a room with no outlets or ventilation. Food in the resto was overprices, 1.5 for a small bottle of water. This guesthouse really thought it was a hotel, and I know for a fact if the upper floors had lost their aircon, it would have been fixed immediately. Terrible sleeping situation, and of course they never offered any compensation, and booking was no help in this matter as the guesthouse is also ignoring their messages.

Great location and facilities

Great location, huge kitchen and living area, nice terrace and comfortable bed. I paid a good price for my stay and it included a small free breakfast. Great showers.

I didn't get wifi reception from my room. Also, you can hear pretty much everything because there are no real walls or doors, is all divided by wooden material. The rest is all good!

Exceptional

Really nice and comfy hotel. The breakfast is very nice. Brought to your table to make you feel really like a guest. The general manager is absolutely the best.

No underground parking available with direct elevator to the lobby, but that would be a bit of a stretch given the price level 😉

We really liked the location and the guest's house interior design was fantastic. Were really impressed with the attention to details and the garden .

The breakfast was included but very basic- bread, cheese and ham, milk and instant coffee and tea.

Exceptional

I like absolutely everything in the service provided by Des Arts. - Location: perfect place in the heart of Amarante, the river is close, where you can see nany fishes, hear birds singing and feel the nature. - Staff: sweet and kind people, the best part of the staying. You guys are doing a great job!! - Beds: comfortable and clean . - Rooms: medium size, clean good ventilation

- Some guests... Although they're also guests, some people are staying in Des Arts for long since they're working in Amarante... I think some guests could be a bit aware that they should not bring their bad manners from home to a shared space dedicated for rest and leisure of others.

Cool and modern design

I stayed two balk dormitory room. I was alone all of the stay but the door next to the guy is speaking on the phone and listen to the music every night and 3-4hours. It was annoying and disturb my sleep. Staff were helpful but it happened and continued everyday. I think this is just unlucky but I didn't know that the slide door has between two rooms. This is which I could not see in the picture before the booking. The sound protection of the room is weak.

A sweet spot for a short stay1

The best breakfast yet! Lovely staff! They were so helpful and kind!

The bed was a little small. We should have booked a room overlooking the river as the traffic on the road outside our room could be noisy.

This must be one of the best hostels I’ve stayed!

I liked the cleanliness, the fabulous staff, a great lounge and bar area with adjacent patio. The patio has a great view of the Rio Tâmega. Location is well-suited to the city and excellent restaurants. The hostel has an excellent fully-equipped and modern kitchen.

It can be a bit noisy. it’s a concrete structure and without carpeting, sound resonates easily. This was not a major issue though.

Best place to stay in Amarante!

I loved the bar area - excellent value snacks and drinks. Very friendly staff who spoke English and Portuguese. I loved the location - you can't get more central than that!

The only thing I didn't like so much was that the dorm rooms smelt of woodchip because of the material the beds were built in. Nevertheless it was comfy!

The double room was very bright and spacious. De big windows are very nice for sunlight and a view over the valley. We even sat on the mini terrace the drink something. The room was checked and the bed made up. It was easy to indicate you didn't want to be disturbed too.

The bathroom wasn't an actual separated space, so no door.. A little confronting for us at first!

The hostel is wonderful: beautiful interior, interesting trinkets, spacious room, excellent kitchen.

I stayed for one night from Friday to Saturday, and maybe that contributed to the fact that I slept only about 2 hours. First of all, there is a nightclub a few meters away the very-very loud electronic music didn't stop until around 4 in the morning. Drunken men started making noise, and finally, at 6 in the morning, a small child was sobbing terribly in the next room.

Everything is great!

The first hotel in Amatante with lost of history. Very clean and comfortable. A big and well equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff.

Actually nothing! But I would like to suggest that if there is a chair in the room would be much better, if the people is sleeping on the top bunk bed, at least thete is a chair to sit down and take off the shoes.

Having a dorm to myself was great for the extra €1, there were two guys in the €15 dorm. Spacious facilities, bar & terrace were really appreciated. Good location.

Nothing much, the OSB (oriented strand board) was a little utilitarian but functional. Maybe a breakfast option would be nice but there are plenty of places to eat in town.

Best hostel you’ll ever stay in

Such a pretty hostel and building. We booked very last minute & so satisfied. From the outside it’s beautiful, right next to the river & main part of town. Very nice bedroom and interior decor, BEAUTIFUL outdoor seating area in the cafe/bar and the shared kitchen downstairs is insane! So spacious and pretty. Staff are so friendly too. We really loved our stay it exceeded our expectations of a hostel!

The shared garden doesn’t seem to get much use but maybe that’s caus the cafe/bar is so nice
