Very nice house and location on boom lake. Pier is very nice great outdoor fire pit and seating. Everything you need for a great stay is at this rental.

We loved the place. Plan on returning. Decorated awesome. Comfortable bed in master suite didn't use the other beds. Loved the view. Fishing great.

Absolutely beautiful home with great location. The view of the lake and the amenities at this house are incredible. The water in the home is definitely an issue so book knowing the water situation. Don't wash any light clothes here. The smell is very strong of iron so although it is cleared by the county - it is still offputting - we were fine with dishes and showers but didn't drink it. Half our family didn't mind it and the other half were really bothered by it. The hosts are so nice and accommodating and very communicative. The water is the only thing I could say anything negative about. Everything else was PERFECT!

Ice fishing was good on boom. House was perfectly located looking over the lake house had everything that we needed for a great guys ice fishing trip. I would recommend staying at this house. Thank you

We came up for our daughter's wedding. The check in was very easy and communication with Mike and his wife was pleasant. We had looked at the reviews and can't figure out why a few were bad. The house and view were amazing. The house is so inviting and clean, and we had a blast in the game room. We had a great time fishing and caught quit a few fish. The grill was clean and we grilled out all weekend. We used the firepit a few nights, when it got a little chilly at night. We will definitely be staying there again and again. THANK YOU FOR OPENING YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOUSE TO US!!

Overall good week trip. However, seating options were not good. Only chairs to eat meals on were 4 feet high which are not reasonable for older or shorter guests. And there is only 4 together so our group if 6 couldnt eat a meal together inside. Needs a kitchen table with normal chairs and enough of them to cover the amount of people you say you can accommodate.

Peaceful location on Lake Boom. Very nice for kayaking...stairs/dock at water's edge very helpful to launch kayaks. Love the fire pit, deck, grill and views. Comfortable house for 2 couples with nice amenities, including kitchen tools for cooking (perhaps could add a sharper chef's knife!) Easy check-in, excellent communication with the host. Would definitely stay again.

We looked at a number of places for my wife and I to stay for a short get away. This place was wonderful and it had everything we were looking for. You won't be disappointed if you choose this for a vacation getaway for the family.

Screen to patio door ripped. Outdoor grill filthy. Kitchen oven filthy. Windows very dirty …needed replacing. Light level in house was extremely poor…had to use flashlights to read in bed. Beds old and needs replacement

This was my second time staying here. Siblings and I brought our dad up for the weekend. Very relaxing with all the amenities you need. Beautiful place, very clean. Highly recommend!

When we arrived at Wintergreen on Boom Lake, we were excited to see the setting, but once we walked inside our happiness turned to frustration. We soon discovered that the house had not been cleaned very well if not at all and the air conditioning did not work. The outside temperature was 90 degrees and the inside temp did not go lower than 75 degrees. One bathroom had dried toothpaste in the sink, dried urine on the toilet seat, the bathroom carpets were filthy and the floor was visibly dirty. Two of the beds were made with dirty sheets. There were stains on the sheets and hair on the pillowcases. It was evident that the kitchen and dining room floors hadn’t been swept by the crumbs that were strewn everywhere. The beautiful view of the lake was obscured by the smudges and fingerprints on the sliding glass windows. The downstairs laundry room had dirty laundry in the washer and the dryer was also full of clothes. We have pictures documenting this as proof. After discovering the condition of the house, I called Kaye, Mike’s wife, and left a message to inform her that we weren’t happy. Since it was late in the day and too late to make other arrangements, my girlfriends and I began cleaning. We stripped down the bedding and washed the sheets and blankets. We cleaned and disinfected the bathrooms, washed windows, cleaned appliances, and vacuumed the floor. Mike called me back and I explained the situation to him. He told me that new cleaning people were hired and he was going to contact them to hear their side of the story. But the bottom line was that the bedding and bathrooms were not left in acceptable condition! Once the cleaning was done, we did enjoy the lake and patio area. When we left the next morning, we stripped the bedding and started a load of towels in the washer. We definitely left the place cleaner than when we arrived. My girlfriends and I felt it was appropriate to be compensated for our time cleaning. We asked Mike if he would be willing to do so and I have not heard from him. I called one more time to give him the chance to rectify this situation and he did not answer so I left a message. Needless to say, since I have not heard from him, that is the reason for this unsatisfactory review. Although the lake was beautiful and the game room had many options, I would not recommend staying at Wintergreen on Boom Lake because of the unsanitary conditions.

Communication with owners/property managers was easy. We had a wonderful stay, and our kids were talking about coming back before we ever left! Great for fishing the lakes and Wisconsin River. Would very much recommend.

The house was very comfortable with good air conditioning with outside temperatures in the 90’s. Enjoyed the nice pier to fish off of, dock our boat and lit also had some cool lights during the night. Inside the house we enjoyed Brunswick pool table, internet and having 2 bathrooms. If you stay and make your own meals you will probably be going to the store if you forget anything, because only thing in the cupboards for food were few spices and a bag of flour. No ice cube trays, so you may want to buy a bag of ice. Our last 2 days we had no hot water, Mike did come out late in the afternoon and tried to fix it. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Wintergreen on Boom Lake.

This is a beautiful house and lake. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. The deck off the kitchen was wonderful. The sunsets were awesome. The basement game room was so much fun. We would gladly return.

Close to all the places we wanted to be. Very clean, with an amazing view and great game room. Will stay here again and highly recommend to others.

This was my second time here. The owner is very easy to communicate with. The house is very clean and comfortable and comes with a lot of provided amenities not found at other places. The location is stellar too!!!

Wife and I stayed for a few days of ice fishing and relaxation. This place has all the amenities you need and more. Very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed playing pool in the basement while watching the Packers. Mike was very friendly and helpful when I had a few questions before our trip. Overall a great stay - we will be back!

The initial code to enter the house didn’t work but Mike called us back within in minutes and we resolved the issue right away! We loved our stay and the location and we will definitely be back!

The downstairs game room is perfect for my little family to keep us occupied and the house was very clean! Also the owner was easy to talk to and very informative and responsive to all of my questions!

Beautiful spot! The lake view includes sunset in the evenings! The home is tastefully decorated with plenty of room for your stuff too. The hosts have thought of everything you might need from shampoo to a tea kettle to snacks and wood for your fire.

Lovely property. Tables to eat at uncomfortably tall. Two of three beds were soft, like really soft, for our back issues. The water smelled horrible of sulfur. Showers were out of the question. We bought bottled water to brush our teeth and drink. Lock difficult to figure out, the cleaning lady stopped by and explained how to lock the door. Found a dog leash on the floor. Our own mistake was not reading all the fees. It's advertised as sleeping six for one price but doesn't tell you there is an up charge for each person after two. Cleaning fee, maintainance fee, manager fee, super ridiculous. We will not use VRBO in the future.
