About this house rental
Welcome to the largest and best family property on Balboa Island available for weekly and nightly rentals. Built in 1920 and belonging to the same family for almost 100 years, this newly renovated and decorated, spectacular 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, South Bayfront home sits on the widest point of Newport Harbor with stunning harbor channel views down to Corona Del Mar and the Balboa Pavilion. When you walk into the first level of the home you are welcomed by the newly remodeled kitchen with fresh white cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. There is an island with four bar stools perfect for a small lunch gathering in the kitchen or a larger dining table area next to the living room. The downstairs living room and dining area are a single space that is surrounded by windows that reach from the floor to the ceiling, taking in every view that Newport Harbor has to offer. Then walk out onto the large patio and enjoy the good life!
A set of the living room windows are sliding glass doors that open up to the front patio. This stunning front patio is fully equipped with comfortable lounging furniture and a stainless steel gas BBQ grill. It is the perfect spot to grill up some burgers and drink a cocktail while enjoying the sight of the boats cruising by.
The first bedroom is located downstairs with a queen sized bed and close access to a full bathroom with a walk in shower. There is also another half bathroom on the first level.
On the second level of the home there are two bedrooms that could both be considered master bedrooms with king sized beds and master bathrooms inside of them. There are two other bedrooms perfect for another couple with a queen sized bed and another great for children or additional guests containing a bunk bed with a twin sized mattress on top and full on the bottom.These two bedrooms share access to another bathroom.
Towards the bayfront you will find the second living room which is perfectly set for hanging out with the wet bar, comfortable couches, cozy chairs and game table area. This living room is also surrounded by windows that reach from the floor to the ceiling giving you that stunning view of the harbor from all levels of the home!! We have lived in the Newport Beach area for many years but never stayed on Balboa Island. We chose 1400 S Bayfront for a family 70th bday complete with a sand castle erected on the beach in his honor. The home is very comfortable to include a large well stocked kitchen that accommodates prep, cooking and wine tasting by all. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to allow our group to stretch out and relax. The upstairs living room was the BEST view Balboa offers and you won't want to miss the sunset!To say the location of this home is desirable is an understatement. The grocery market was just a block away, we walked to coffee shops and we never drove our car out to dinner. This home is clean, organized and the bedding is lovely. Make this you next vacation rental in the Newport Beach area. 5/5 STARS.

We have a big family & this beach house was perfect for us. Everyone had their own bedroom & bathroom & privacy but could come together and play cards games & have our meals together. Very spacious with a gorgeous view over looking the bay. Our grandkids were over joyed to see a seal, dolphin, fish & crabs. We had a tough year with illness & surgeries so this was the perfect place for our family to come together & relax & be together & make some lifetime memories. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making everything so easy for our stay. We appreciate it.

The property is perfect. It has everything you need and want to relax and enjoy the annual boat parade. From the great location, well stocked kitchen for family dinners, 3 great parking spots, comfortable bedrooms, and the fabulous family rooms upstairs and was the perfect spot for our family holiday gathering. Although you are located on Bayfront and there are people walking by, the property's front patio is slightly elevated so it feels a bit more private than other properties nearby. We look forward to returning in the summer months next time!!

This house provided exactly the experience we were looking for. Both the downstairs and upstairs family rooms are spacious and could accomodate our whole group, or the group could split off. The views from the upstairs with all of the glass are beautiful. The dock was great and allowed us to bring our boat and water toys. There was alsod a kayak and paddleboards available in the garage, although we brought our own. The location is perfect and allowed us to not have to worry about packing food. The place is on Marine Avenue, which is the street on Balboa with all of the restaurants as well as the Irvine Ranch Market, about a block away. We rented a duffy and 8 e-bikes, all from the island. After renting this place, this vacation required essentially no planning given the close proximity to food/groceries and entertainment. Our group can't wait to go back.

We recently rented this unit as my family was coming from all over the US to attend my son's wedding. The place is so big you can get lost in it. The view from upstairs living area is to die for and you cannot ask for a better location. We all decided that we would like to come back when we are not so busy and simply hang out at the house, enjoy the view,and basically not move.

The upstairs living room area is truly the heart of this home, and we spent many hours enjoying the breeze, bay sounds, and lovely view. We all grew up spending summers at our family's home in the Newport area, so the trip was very nostalgic and memorable for us. It was still warm enough in September to swim just off the dock and kayak. We would certainly consider this home again, for future vacations.

Awesome Waterfront Vacation Home
This is a beautiful waterfront house with amazing bay view and plenty of space for family gathering. We truly enjoyed our stay. The parents relaxed and sat in the living room enjoying the beautiful view while kids had a lot of fun fishing and kayaking right in front of the house. Great location and very clean. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Really enjoyed staying at this property with my in-laws celebrating a birthday. The home has a perfect location and is nicely redone. Balboa is a busy place so the dual living room spaces upstairs and down offer the vibrancy of activity and upstairs the relaxing privacy. Would stay here again.

My wish came true! The front porch is panoramic and seats so many! The upstairs living room is breathtaking especially at nite with its panoramic view! The bedrooms are great . We also have extended family who rent homes on the island so it turns out to be a big family reunion.. This rental was the nicest that we have stayed in. The location was perfect and the house was fantastic. The owner was there when we arrived and was very helpful in getting us settled. She also had great stories about the house..
