Home away from home

Felt like home away from home. Beautifully decorated & warmly welcomed - bliss after a very long & hot drive. Breakfast was one of the best I have had.

The Rez offers a lot more than a comfortable stay - a worry free vacation in an exotic location.

As my wife and I were waiting to clear immigration in Walvis Bay, Namibia, to get off a cruise ship as we were both very sick and needed medical attention, we booked The Rez Guesthouse for two nights. They accommodated our early check in request, and as we were checking in a few short hours later, Malani, the proprietor, looked at my wife and said: You are not looking well. Do you want to see a doctor? - YESSSS! Within an hour, Malani arranged free transportation to see a private doctor. After examination, the doctor said my wife had to go to the hospital immediately as her lung capacity was dangerously low. Within an hour, my wife was admitted to the only private hospital in Walvis Bay. What does it all have to do with The Rez? A LOT! Malani went above and beyond what was expected of her. When you go on vacation, you don’t expect anything bad to happen. As we learned, it might. Malani literally saved us. And The Rez? Did I mention the nice location in an upscale residential neighborhood only 500 meters away from the waterfront, nice tasteful décor, a cozy courtyard, spacious rooms, upgraded bathrooms, great breakfast (try Ellen’s omelet), and referrals to carefully selected local vendors.

It was luxurious. Breakfast was amazing, and their wifi was superfast. They also had a 24 hour free coffee machine👌👌

What a gem! Beautiful Guesthouse, clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast and not far from the Lagoon area. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Walvis Bay in future.

A rare & stunning luxury guesthouse.

The furniture was vintage and simply beautiful. They also have an “honesty bar” which was the first time I ever came across such a concept and I loved it! They have friendly staff to assist with anything. I can’t wait to come back again!

Très belle décoration, chambre spacieuse et très confortable, petit-déjeuner complet, très bel accueil pour notre lune de miel et sa localisation est à moins de 5 minutes en voiture du port de Walvis Bay. C'était parfait, nous recommandons !
