Blue Sky Cottage is a beautiful stone-built cottage property, ideally located on a quiet no through road with the benefit of having easy reach to Matlock town centre, via a level walk through the wonderful park, and close to the local amenities of Matlock Green. This charming, characterful, terraced cottage offers a large living area to relax in, a spacious bedroom and breathtaking bathroom along with a freestanding slipper bath to soak in after a busy day exploring. The kitchen leads to an outside seating area to enjoy a relaxing drink.
Matlock is a picturesque spa town in the heart of Derbyshire close to the Peak District National Park, surrounded by beautiful open countryside. The town has a wealth of historic buildings as well as excellent local amenities. At the centre of the town is Hall Leys Park with sports facilities, children’s play area, formal gardens and a riverside walk. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Lovely cottage in a lovely area. There is lots of places to visit just a short drive away. You xan easily walk into Matlock from the cottage there are a couple of lovely pubs just a short walk away. The cottage has everything you need for your stay, the kitchen is well equipped.

The cottage was lovely and clean. The owner gave us a bottle of wine too. It is near to the park, pub, fish shop, pizza place, indian, chinese. The bed is lovely and comfortable. We would definetly stay there again.

Good central location for Matlock (not up a hill). Park very close for dog walking. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Car parking a bit tight as mentioned but ok for a average car - the drive in is easy, backing out slow but no real problem. Very nice stay esp. the easy short walk to all central pubs and shops, after a day walking in the surrounding hills.

Absolutely beautiful cottage and perfect location for me - not isolated and lots to do on the doorstep- perfect for me wanting to be out in the hills.Christmas tree was a nice touch but would have been better with fairy lights. Very highly recommended. Only negative is that my car would not fit in the designated space.

A beautifully well-equipped cottage in a perfect location. Cosy and comfortable. Fab shower and comfortable bed. Lots of things to do and good bars and restaurants within very short walking distance. Great railway link a sort walk away, so easy access to Nottingham and Derby.

We had a wonderful week staying in this great one bed cottage. It is well equipped and is really comfortable. It’s location was perfect for walks along the river or through the park. Matlock is a gorgeous little town with lots of excellent places to enjoy food and refreshments and is exceptionally dog friendly.

Small cottage perfectly situated in Matlock . Short walk in lovely park to town centre. Very clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Nice selection bars , cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Good communication with owner. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Had a lovely 4 night stay , the cottage was lovely and situated in a great location near the centre of Matlock, just a 5 minute walk through the park to all the shops and restaurants, would definitely stay there again next time we’re in the area for a break

We were very pleased with this cosy and warm winter break. Steve had lounge Xmas decorations which was a nice touch. The property is a few minutes from centre of matlock and we had some beautiful walks every day. Never used car all week. Only dropped one star on cleanliness as we are not dog owners and it did smell a bit doggy for first few days, otherwise an excellent stay.

Beautiful, quiet, well equipped and clean cottage with an uninterrupted view of Riber Castle on the hill. There is a lovely 5-minute walk through the park to the centre of the town. I would only warn that getting in and out of the parking space in front of the house will test anyone's parking skills. We had a very pleasant relaxing stay and I would thoroughly recommend the accommodation.

The house was comfortable and ideal for a short stay. It proved a good jumping off point for local exploration. A parking place was an added bonus. A lavatory seat that stayed open would have been preferred and more convenient.

lovely cottage great for a great holiday. Steve the owner rang us to make sure we had settled in ok and gave us a couple of places to eat which was appreciated. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the beautiful countryside. Would recommend staying here.We will be back.

Had a comfortable few nights staying here. Ideal location for a stroll into town or a walk along the River. Good communication with Steve the owner - thanks. The parking And reversing out for a large car was stressful and somewhere to sit outside and enjoy a cool glass of wine after a busy day would have been nice. Over all we enjoyed our stay here. Blue Sky Cottage was as described and a great location for the town centre and local attractions. Did not get to use the courtyard due to the weather and found the parking a bit tight (parked near the park for most of the stay).

The cottage is a short stroll from the Town Centre, Matlock is a lovely riverside town with everything you want. Pubs restaurants, High St shops and tea shop if you prefer. It’s also a great base for exploring the rest of the Peak District. Our Fav pub was the Red Lion, about 100 yards from the cottage, we were most impressed that they brew their own beer. The parking was a little tight, but our Clio fitting in comfortably. Highly Recommended a visit.

Lovely cottage in a great location

This cottage is just off the park and very quiet. It is on a walkway through so you get a bit of foot traffic, but no road noise. It's a really sweet cottage, done up lovely with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Steve kept in touch to make sure everything was OK with our stay and how to check out. It's a great play to stay and I would highly recommend it, and will be back myself.

Most welcoming and highly recommended. Super clean and comfy cottage with everything you need...home from home. Ideal location for exploring the area, Chatsworth just a short drive away and a must to visit. Delicious food in the pub over the road but no food served on a Monday....the chippy is excellent too!!

The cottages in Matlock with parking is just lovely.It is in an Excellent location very close to;shops, takeaways,cafes/pubs etc. The cottage is pet friendly and very close by,along by the river, there is a beautiful park and woodland walk for everybody to enjoy, including dogs. Super cosy cottage, perfectly situated in Matlock and extremely well appointed. Lovely soft coloured decor throughout with beautiful furniture, offering a fabulous bathroom and great kitchen. Great communication from our hosts who had clearly gone to great lengths to ensure the cottage conforms to safety regulations and that anyone staying there has a pleasant time.
