The stuff is really kind and friendly. Make staying there us cosy and welcoming atmosphere. I liked free tea at 6pm with cookies, and had a good time with another guests from the rooftop, which is really beautiful.
There is a tiny kitchen for guests, but it is not well-equipped.

The hostel was clean and I liked the mixture of traditional items and modern facilities. My friend and I stayed in this hostel for two days and we liked it especially the location since it is easily accessible and near to the the city and beach. The staff working in the hostel are very nice easy to talk to and usually take care of customers with a smile.

The entrance a little bit confusing

immaculate atmosphere, everyone is so sweet and you blend right in! made some very memorable encounters there. grateful for everyone and i wish i stayed longer.
Yousra and Hicham were adorable but there was another member of the staff (a man) who said some disrespectful things, and he didn’t seem to be that nice to the rest of the guests either.

In the center of the medina, a really nice hostel filled with awesome vibes. The bed was super comfy, and the cleaning was 10/10. The breakfast was big and delicious.

Chill Art Is my home away place, perfect to really enjoy Essaouira and the vibe just fits perfectly the city, the location is central and easily accessible.

we had the most incredible stay at The Chill art hostel! staff were incredible, we were treated like family. Really enjoyed the space and the room, perfect location. It ended up being my favourite spot in Morocco that we saw. Thankyou Thankyou!!

The breakfast was ok.
Room #1 had a sewer odor, there was no hot water in shower or sink. There was a leak from the toilet with water in the floor continuously. My daughter got cold shower and wet hair all night sleeping with wet pillow and it was cold! It felt dirty and gross. No top sheet and blanket was not clean. Extremely small room. Never have I seen a room so small hardly could fit between the bunk beds and wall. It was very upsetting the smell and dirty. This property needs to be reviewed particularly Room 1.
It doesn’t meet Booking.com standards. I need a refund! It has us both wanting to go back to our home country that night. My daughter cried. 😢Please respond to me and inform me of method of refund otherwise I will dispute with Visa and I have pictures for proof!

I'd stayed at Chill Art a few times before, but never in their rooftop apartment until now. It was fine. It could have been cleaner and furnished more comfortably, but for the price we paid I suppose it was exactly as expected.
Perhaps it was just bad timing, but the "essence" of Chill Art seemed to be missing during this most recent stay. It didn't hold the same magic as previous visits.

Stayed in the apartment, so this is not representative of the other rooms or dorms. Plenty of facilities in the apartment, so you could have cooked if you wanted. Easy access to the roof since the apartment is on the top floor.
Staff helped us find a tailor and do laundry. They could have helped organize many activities.
Not a super luxurious breakfast but good for a hostel. And basically unlimited tea and bread with spreads. Pretty decent overall. Good value for money given that you are in a fairly large private room/ bedroom plus living room.
Apartment was a bit musty and damp. Probably from the weather and sea breeze. Room is not super well insulated although this is probably fairly normal for Morocco.

Breakfast was very nice & the common area is comfy to hang out. The hostel provides also information about what to do in town and where to go. Hisham from reception was kind & helpful.
Lightning in the bathroom & rooms was too dark. Also the sheets felt kinda moist. They should renew the facilities on the rooftop. You couldn't really enjoy it bc everything was old/broken.

Best place in Essauoira for sure! Perfect location - in the heart of the city center but quiet at the same time. Very easy to find. Staff guys are all just great. Friendliest people in Morocco! The place definitely will make you feel like home. 11/10!

If you choose Essaouira only for some days The Chill Art Hostel will change your plans and you don't come back to home.
The staff is more friendly and available!

The staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable and the free breakfast was nice touch! It's quietly tucked away but very close to all the action.
The showers could do with a bit of maintenance 😉

Great property, the staff is very nice, location is great, very central. The rooftop is nice, you can chill and take in the view. common area is cute, but quite chilly in the winter so don’t expect spending time there in winter time..
Cleanliness is not perfection I would say, but then you will see that Marocco in general is not known for that, so I will say that it was ok.
Breakfast is nice, you have savory and sweet which is quite cool for someone who doesn’t eat sugar.
We rented the apartment unit, and loved that there is a small private space outside before entering the apartment. The living room space was nice, but we were suuuper cold all the time there, so in winter, it’s not crazy. I’m guessing summer time you must be happy to have a space with a more cool temperature.
Cleanliness could use a little more. Our bathroom shower carpet was not washed for sure before we came..
Humidity is a big issue in costal towns, so expect this apartment to be humid, and a bit smelly. The bathroom especially, smells are quite unpleasant. our clothes ended up very humid as well.
The bed is tough and uncomfortable and very noisy.
The location is very central but the place is at the end of a dark alley, so if you’re a girl and you’re alone, late at night it’s a bit weird to walk alone between the weird dudes hanging out in the alley, even though no one means you harm.

The chill arts hostel is always a brilliant budget stay. My favourite hostel in town. Nadia and Pier are marvellous.

The hostel is super chill, thanks for the moment

Staff were great and the vibe was super cozy. Felt very welcomed right from the start. The location was really good. I'd love to visit there again if I go back to Essaouira!
For real, all was good. So just little details I could think which could be improved - like a bit better lightning and towelracks on the walls in the room. That is all, loved the chill art hostel.
