The CUSTOMER SERVICE and the STAFFS. They're so approachable and friendly. And the room is very affordable.... really worth the price. Doesn't have free toiletries but it doesn't really matter.
The place is renovating. Could use some repairs too but doesn't really matter because the ambiance is very homey.

The location works for me, visiting family in town. In fact, this was my second stay. The extensive grounds are nice and the view of Mount Mayon, especially when it is free of obscuring clouds, is spectacular!
The very BASIC room amenities with cheap and flimsy fittings . The lack of complimentary toiletries ( available from the in-resort shop). 730am opening of the restaurant. The one bathroom in the ten-bed cottage! Overall, it was very expensive for what one actually got. To be fair, I did always get a good night's sleep throughout my stay.

The food is very expensive and I didn't expect that the food has a delivery charge of 50pesos

The staff were friendly and accomodating. The husband and wife chefs were very hard-working. The owners probably should take a more active and visible role. Having said that, we were generously given free use of a beach cabana for the two nights we needed them. And a second hanging hammock was also provided free of charge.
The facilities were minimal, but then it was the most basic room. However, the tap leaked and the water from the shower not the best-tasting. The room was only cleaned every three days! The bed linen and towels were very basic, to say the least. Once again, I opted for the cheapest room available, but surely, there must be minimum standards accomodation sold through Booking.com have to follow?
As an aside, it's not apparent from the website photos, but the accomodation is separated from the black sand beach by a small road. Wasn't an issue for me, but might surprise people who booked after having seen previous published pictures.
Would I stay again? I would, but will choose a better grade of accomodation.

Will be better if they really clean the facility, and complete the amenities

Peace and quiet just like a piece of Heaven on earth, (The Garden Part of course ) Place is so private. Very accommodating staff. Overall an 8 - from 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest score.
Just a bit disappointed with the beach though and their pillow isn't so comfortable.

The owners were sooo nice! We need additional necessities and they looked for it without extra cost. Then its sooo relaxing!
The beach, could use lighting for night swimming. :(

Staffs are kind and polite
The place was a bit noisy. Events happened almost every night and went on until early morning. Would be good if at certain time noise can be controlled.

They changed the pillows to bigger, more comfy ones compared to the ones we used a few months ago. They also have this restaurant where you can order food in case you don't want to bring some food. We loved the pancit canton with lots of veggies. We asked it to be customized to a vegetarian dish and it the final dish is very satisfying.
It was rainy season when we went there. The roof of the cottage is made of Anahaw leaves. There were some areas that drip water, especially in the patio area. But nothing that's bothering enough to ruin our experience. We still loved the rainy day experience there despite that.

Cockroches in the room. Leaking sink. Limited choices for meal.

Everything else. The resort is more quiet this time as compared to July.
The charge for paluto last July was only 50 pesos. So when we came back, we wanted to have that again. But to our surprise, the paluto fee is 150 pesos now. 😓 We asked a simple ginisa of kangkong and mushrooms. They provided the spices. The price is almost the same as if we ordered the whole thing.

We're a frequent visitor in Viento de Mar. Sometimes alone, sometimes with my spouse, sometimes with my family. It's perfect every time. The cottages are well-distanced from each other, like there are a few meters apart from each, so you can enjoy your privacy in the vast location. Unlike other resorts that typically just have like 3 meters or less of distance from each bungalow. With that much space, you can conveniently park your car, pitch a tent, or let your kids run around without worrying about contacting anyone with Covid.
Not really a deal breaker, and also because the fee is already cheap enough, but it would be nice to have an option for hot/cold shower. I'm not sure if other rooms have it. But in the cabanas, they don't have anything like that.
