Kitchenette didn't have anything but a sink - unlike photo which showed a stove.

Awesome place , very comfortable and close to everything

Location
Room was grungy
Dead insects behind widow curtain
Crappy ‘kitchen’
Way overpriced at $150.

I really liked this place. It was clean, great location. And just a little bit funky. Staff super helpful. I'd go back again.
Can't think of anything I didn't like. No complaints.

The room was clean. Good wifi. Good location. The walk-in shower was great.
Rooms need some TLC. Need some bed lighting

felt like a cabin. bed was very comfortable
no blow dryer and nobody in the office to ask for one.

It definitely has charm.
I can sincerely imagine that many folks have a nice experience here.
Everything. But that is my experience, and i don't want to generalize.
As an old, charmy place, it has more potential.
Like all hotels near Durango, it's overpriced. A lot.
I waited for 10 minutes at check-in. 2 faucets leaked, which I managed to focus on and calculated the seconds between each drop, at night.
I felt watched by people hanging around there.
Curtains didn't close well, which made my bed visible from outside.
Everything made noises loud enough to keep me awake on it's own...refrigerator, airco, faucets.
I'm stopping now, cause i don't easily complain, and now i sound like an entitled twat.
I would visit again if they made little professional modifications. Be proud of your place and fix it..
Or...stay miiiiles away from +100$.

very clean, friendly staff and great location from Narrow gauge Railroad
needed more outlets

it’s old fashion charm

Friendly staff. Showed concern. Also cozy spot
Was quite a bit North of downtown. No biggie.

Wonderful little motel with tons of character. Rooms nicer than most roadside motels. Felt totally safe here.
Heater is noisy and blanket produces little electro shocks. No biggie though.

Great place, one of our favorite places to stay when we visit. Staff is always chill and friendly, and the gazebo is nice respite during the snow. Close proximity to almost everything you need in town, food and fun wise.

Old outdated room, had a bit of a funk

Visually appealing, comfortable and convent location! You can walk for coffee and the best bbq place ever!
the front desk guy was super nice, recommended restaurants and checked us in early!
I needed a hair dryer and she brought me one right away.
not a thing

This place we found last minute as our other place up the rad had issues with dates.
This place was awesome and very friendly and accommodating to us with our Pets! THe owner treated us very well and we highly recommend this place.
Bed could be a little softer but no real complain

Loved the decor--sort-of old worldly. When I saw the cute little kitcehette I wanted to stay permanently!
Just small things. It was old -- not a drawback. Leaky bathroom sink faucet.

charming place to stay, great location, and they have a gazebo where you can hang out and smoke away from the cold
the heater in the room was broken, but they put in some portable ones to alleviate the cold. the door to the room wouldn’t close unless you slammed it shut, not a big deal but it made a lot of commotion for the other motel guests

It was easy to find and close to downtown.
The service was terrible and no one was ever there for us to speak to. We had to call and find someone to check in. When we finally found someone the key was missing to our room and put us in a room that ultimately was under construction but had no idea about it. The morning before we left we found mouse droppings in our other queen bed. Had we known we definitely wouldn’t have stayed there. When I brought it up to the manager (who was not easy to get a hold of) he was not helpful and wasn’t even apologetic. I had to insist on a refund.
