About this house rental
This home was renovated in 2018 with a second full bath added and newly furnished in 2019. Beautiful east side quiet neighborhood just a block from Lake Superior, beaches and bike paths. Three blocks from popular third street and 5 blocks from downtown. Large back yard and all the amenities to make your stay in Marquette comfortable. Full 4 car garage for storage. Patio furniture available as well. A/C added in 2021.

This is a beautiful home in a perfect location! It's very close to the lake (and also to the Third Street corridor and downtown). The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. My husband and I have stayed at the home MANY times, and it's always our first choice in Marquette. The hosts are very gracious, and despite our many stays, we've never had any issues. The owners maintain the home in pristine condition. The furnishings are lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the decor (including the work of many local artists) pays homage to the U.P. and Lake Superior. We are very grateful to the hosts for their continued hospitality.

Very cute neighborhood. Great location, close to all the shops, restaurants, hikes and for us it was important to be close to Northern Michigan University for our sons freshman orientation. Would highly recommend.

This was a comfortable, clean house with all the amenities we needed, including the use of the garage to store our outdoor toys. Our host, Tim, made the stay easy and uncomplicated. The description was very accurate.

Beautiful house, great location in a quiet neighborhood. Everything you need is provided. Plenty of room and amenities. We felt right at home. We stayed in the fall, and it rained the whole time, but the patio/outdoor areas would be great in nicer weather. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely home. My husband and I have rented it many times, and hope to return. It's very close to the lake and also to the Third Street business district. The home is spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated/furnished. There is a lot of artwork celebrating Marquette and Lake Superior. The owner has clearly taken great care with the place. Highly recommended!

Quiet stay close to bike trails, the water and town
This was the perfect Marquette rental. Host was quick to reach out with a personal greeting and quick to respond to our one question. Located in a very quiet neighborhood, you're just one block away from the bike/walking path along Lake Superior. A one mile walk or drive to downtown and 3rd Street. Well equipped for cooking, comfortably furnished and soft linens and towels. The roomy garage was great for storing our bikes and laundry conveniently located in the basement. Look forward to our next stay here!

Just Perfect!
Everything about Tim's home met or exceeded expectations! The home and location were perfect for our short getaway to Marquette. The home is cozy, very comfortable, and located in a quiet, well-kept neighborhood just a short walk to the sandy beach of Lake Superior! Love this home!
My husband and I have stayed twice at this lovely property. It's impeccably furnished and maintained. Lake Superior is a short walk away. It's also very close to the Washington/Third Street business corridors. We loved staying here, and hope to stay again.

All you need for a great UP vacation
The house has everything you could need! We spent every morning w coffee on the front porch planning our days and dinner on the back patio talking. The beach and bike paths are close. We rode our bikes to downtown multiple times and upper harbor to watch the ships come in. We had to call the owner once and he responded quickly. I can’t say enough about this house and the location except it was perfect. So much to do around Marquette and the surrounding area.

Cute house close to beach & town
Cute, comfortable home in a nice neighborhood. Easy walk to beach and lighthouse. 20 minute walk to town for shops and restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked with small kitchen table. 2 bedrooms have queen beds and 3rd bedroom has a twin. The home & location worked well for the 2 of us.

Very clean with everything I needed. Walk to beach and down town. Other than being a little hot a couple days, was a great stay. I would recommend the manager look into a portable ac unit

Perfect place to stay! Loved having a huge driveway (no need to park in the street), my elderly father has mobility issues and had an easy time navigating the ranch style home, internet and cable worked perfectly. Great location and well equipped home.

Loved It!
We had a great time in this lovely home. It's obvious that the place was very recently renovated with great care and an eye to detail. High-quality materials were used throughout the home. The beds were very comfortable with wonderful linens, including lovely quilts. The home decor is lovely, inviting and soothing, and includes artwork and materials that pay homage to the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior. There is ample storage space (bureaus and closets).
The location is ideal. It is very close to the beach, yet quiet and residential. The Third Street business corridor (restaurants, pubs, shopping) is a 10-minute walk away. Presque Isle Park and other lakefront amenities (including a bike trail, pedestrian pathway, beaches and parks) are all nearby.
The owners went out of their way to create an inviting atmosphere. The furniture is both lovely and very comfortable. There was an ample supply of paper products on hand (paper towels, toilet paper and coffee filters), as well as soaps, shampoo, etc. Snacks (chips and candies) were available upon our arrival.
The neighborhood has a pronounced Mayberry vibe. The local homes are well-maintained and attractive, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch (or in the living room) and soaking it all in.
We highly recommend this property. We've stayed in many hotels and homes in the Marquette area, and this was one of our best experiences.

Great Location, great place to stay with kids.
We had a great stay on Albert Street. The house was in a very quiet neighborhood with a great breeze off the lake. My husband and I stayed for one week for a summer family getaway with our toddler and infant sons.
* The location is fantastic. It's just a block away from Lake Superior and walking distance to 3rd St and downtown. There are several playgrounds within a half-mile walk that our son loved to visit.
* Very family friendly house. The owner has it equipped with a pack-n-play, high chair/booster seat available if needed, beach umbrellas, and beach towels. One bedroom had a Trundle bed which was perfect for our toddler.
* The house was completely updated and very comfy. Great indoor and outdoor space (we ate out on the patio table nightly) and access to the garage as a place to store our gear.
Tim was a great host; he was very easy to communicate.
We would absolutely stay here again if we visit Marquette in the future!

Perfect Location
We stayed here for an entire week taking advantage of the area while we attended the three day NMU new student orientation for our son. This home is in a very nice neighborhood on a very quiet street. Everything is within a few short minutes. Walk to Lake Superior from the house took less than 6 minutes to the sandy shores of Lake Superior. Drive to campus every day was less than 8 minutes. And a short 15 minute drive to Presque isle to see black rock cove. The house is very cozy and very roomy for our family of four. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms made it very easy for all of us to get ready and to unwind at the end of the day. The owners made us feel welcome with snacks and candy out for the kids and gave us recommendations for great spots to eat out after a late day. The reclining sofa and the recliner chair made it too easy to relax and unwind after a day of hiking. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Marquette, close enough to enjoy the city and lake but distant enough to enjoy the quiet neighborhood. We look forward to visiting again this fall and will be looking forward to staying here again if available!
