Fabulous cozy villa with perfect little kitchen and incredible view and water access. We saw whales one morning just a 100 feet away! Alix the concierge was very helpful and responsive and make us feel very much at home. We hope to be back some day! Note that all villas do back up to the main island road (they are enclosed behind a security gate) so you will hear cars/motor bikes, but this did not bother us at all.
Hot water was not that hot but it was fine.

The location, views and comfort was wonderful.
Ideal for stays up to one week. Staying longer you may want to consider the larger units. The boat rental option was ok, but would suggest taking an organized tour instead.

Fantastic experience at Robinson Cove! We stayed for 1week and can’t begin to express the beautiful time here! What a happy surprise to see the whales come into the bay. Every morning and evening we would watch for them. We are already planning a return trip!

What an amazing place to stay. Alix was also an amazing host.

We are an older couple and enjoyed the peace and serenity of the place over 4 days and 5 nights. The bungalow was well appointed, including the kitchen, and met all our needs. The snorkelling just off the shore was very special. It is also in a good position from which to explore this beautiful island and enjoy watching the light play on such amazing mountain peaks. We loved the private lagoon tour with Polynesian Spirit which had been recommended - that was very special. We appreciated being able to hire a car as it was necessary for getting around. Recommendations for eating places was also helpful. We appreciated the caring support of Alix the caretaker. We have lovely memories of our stay.

Loved this place. The only thing missing. It's not a great snorkeling spot. Had to travel to other locations for that but otherwise we loved staying is this cute little place.

The bungalow felt very private. The view, access to the lagoon, and snorkeling were amazing. There were a lot of little details that were nice. It was everything we were looking for. We stayed in several outstanding places on Moorea, including a Hilton overwater bungalow, and this was our favorite.

Great location great accommodations everything about it was awesome. From the bed to the water about 30 feet. The water was amazing beautiful blues plenty fish.
It would be nice if there was a little toaster oven, but the whole place was so beautiful and so incredible five star rating

What a perfect place for our honeymoon! We loved being on the water, and snorkeling right out the back door! The land crabs are so cute to watch, we cracked some coconuts from the coconut tree, and we had a sweet kitty friend that visited frequently. This little place had everything we needed!

We enjoyed everything about this lodging. The beautiful view right outside the door was unbelievable. We travelled all around the island to several beautiful beaches, but this little private area was hard to beat.

This is a beautiful private villa.
I think it helps to have a rental car to get around the island and explore.
It’s a different experience than the overwater bungalow hotels, a little less luxury with more island feel.

Breathtaking location! Bungalow was perfectly set up for any length of stay. We found it a challenge every morning to be motivated to leave for the day, when waking up to such a spectacular view...the communication with the property and the service of the on-site host, Alix, was just as stunning, too! We would highly recommend booking the car rental and ferry transfers with your stay, very convenient.

A very honest review
I'd like to be as honest about this review as I found the current reviews of this place missing a few key points that you might want to consider.
Overall the property is accurately pictured, was clean given the industry standard, and right on the lagoon as the description states.
However, at the price point you are booking this, there are several inconveniences you might want to consider.
- This particular villa doesn't have a standard private parking. So if you rented a car this might be a bit of an annoyance. Now, Alix was super helpful and moved her own car up to accommodate a parking spot for us. But we did find it annoying on vacation to be up before 10am (which is when Alix would typically make her daily trip out), to move the car over to the street. Not a deal breaker, just an annoyance.
- There are mosquitos EVERYWHERE and they BITE! These mosquitos like to feast. My husband & I got bit everywhere, and over and over again. No form of mosquito spray will work, trust me on this. If you are fine constantly itching your skin you'll be fine. I felt like this mosquito issue really prevented us from enjoying the outdoors so we found ourselves inside the villa most of the time. I guess this is a given being on the lagoon side, but man it was really difficult dealing with these mosquitos. I wish someone would've mentioned this in one of the reviews.
- AC placement in the bedroom is a bit off. Its located above the closet in the room, and didn't seem to be a powerful AC either. The room did cool, but certainly not to the degree that you'd want. Additionally, the roof on the bedroom and the bathroom both are not sealed so tons of mosquitos and other bugs do find their way in that way as well. And this is probably another reason the AC is unable to cool down the room.
- Lastly, for the price point you are paying for this villa, it is really tiny. There is no storage space (aside from a tiny closet right next to the bed) or any form of an indoor living room where we could placed your luggage. With our luggage alone (2 suitcases) and the room already being on the tiny-side, we just felt crammed .
I know I focused mainly on the cons here, but this place is really beautiful. However, it is pricy for the inconveniences you'll experience. If you are OK with all of the above, then you'd really enjoy your time. Alix was great and so were the kayaks, life jackets, snorkeling fins, etc. We enjoyed Moorea and the location of this spot is great!

Amazing accommodation a few week from our own private beach!
Alix was super kind and welcoming. Everything about the place was top notch. We loved the barbecue and kitchen amenities and access to the sea kayaks.

1st trip to French Polynesia
Very private location. Great communication.
We also rented the car and that worked out great.
The bungalow was better than advertised. We would recommend this property to all of our friends and when we return would stay here again.

Will be back!!
This villa was perfect for a couple!! The location couldn’t be better. It is close to everything, but at the same you have your own private space. The snorkeling in front of the villa is amazing!
Alix is a wonderful hostess!! She gives you your space, but is there if you need her. We loved our vacation here so much, we even extended a few days!!
Nothing!

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Robinson's Cove staying in the smaller bungalow. It was absolutely lovely - beautiful wood construction with many fine details, modern and gorgeous bathroom using solar water that was efficient and plentiful, a well-equipped kitchen that we used for breakfast and lunch, comfortable bed with great mosquito netting, and a wonderful covered cabana patio that was perfect for lazy afternoons out of the sun! It was definitely an oasis to enjoy as a couple and have some solitude and peace as the area is very quiet. We did visit with our French neighbors in one of the larger villas and, of course, saw Alix and her friendly dogs every day. Alix was very helpful in making our dinner reservations and helping us plan our sight-seeing. We snorkeled right off the beach in front of the bungalow and also went to the public beach area which is very closely and had a little better visibility. The kayaks were an extra bonus and we did use them to get a little exercise and explore the lagoon each day. We loved being in a self-catering place - we went to the local markets, visited the many fruit stands, and bought fish from the locals. Highly recommend!!
