The location was great. However it was difficult to run the AC and there should be a fan in the one bedroom. Black bugs were seen running around. Not many but enough. Need an on site person, not by phone! I don't think that was stated when I rented the property.

Overall our stay was fine, the property location was great; close to the water and the main shopping street. A couple things worth to mention: there was a pest issue with cockroaches in the kitchen (around the sink) and the bathroom (behind the mirror and sink), there were a lack of basic cooking spices such as salt. A couple doors didn’t close properly (one of the doors, if it was to shut, would be impossible to open from the out side) and the couch/bed in the living room was uncomfortable.
However, the air conditioning worked perfectly fine, the TV’s were operational and had a wide range of channels, the view was great, the windows did great when it came to noise insulation and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable.

This rental worked out really well for us. It’s very close to all Waikiki has to offer - the beach of course - as well as restaurants, shopping, a pretty large park. We enjoyed hanging out on the lanai. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped, nice shower.

We were very pleased with the condo. Was very clean. The location is excellent - only a 2 block walk to the beach. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. We were able to see the fireworks from the balcony. Paul, the property manager, was excellent to work with.

I liked the location and that it came with parking. The manager was friendly and helpful. There’s food smell from the tonkatsu place downstairs at night if you leave the balcony open. I think the cleaning crew didnt do a great job though, I had to clean the toilet when I got there, mold on shower grout, some candy behind a furniture. Furnitures and cushion had stains. The place needs deep cleaning. The linen were clean.

From checking in to checking out we had a great experience. Our family enjoyed the location and easy access to the beach. We would highly recommended for those that are wanting an easy walk to the beach, being near many food options, and a close ride to pearl harbor.

I stayed at Beachwalk 51 for a month. I was somewhat disappointed in the unit. It is more rundown than one would think from the pictures, and the property manager could have been more attentive. When we arrived we complained that the hinge on a kitchen cabinet door was broken, and there was no follow-up to fix the problem. Also, the kitchen and bath could have been better supplied with condiments and soaps, as well as utensils and dishes. I also did not appreciate having to pay $8 for a washing a load of laundary. For these reason I only gave the unit a rating of 3 stars. But, there were also some good aspects. They included: 1. Very friendly staff in the lobby. 2. Convenient parking a block away. 3. A nice front lanai, overlooking Beachwalk(could have benefited from one or two lounge chairs). 4. Proximity to the beach. 5. Proximity to restaurants in Waikiki. 6. Very little street and traffic noise.

Nice condo with a good view. Does not have ocean view but can watch Fireworks on Friday night from lani. Day time view from lani, not spectacular but we didnt spend much time there during the day. Rooms are good size but only one has closet. Lani is good size with table and chairs. Kitchenette was well stocked. We did not use much except for some glasses. Over all was clean and has air conditioning in 2 rooms! Huge bonus-Included parking!!
ABC store literally next door on first floor. Henry's place, for ice cream and sorbet, across the street. Also, several restaurants, shops, and shave ice. Beach is in walking distance, maybe 10 min. Fort DeRussy park is a great place to set up for picnic.

The property was fine, but wasn’t cleaned properly. Shower doors were caked in soap scum and paint needed touch up in multiple areas. The A/C worked great. Communication with owner was good. Location was good. Definitely an update and good cleaning is needed.

The location of the property was amazing. Super close to the main strip of Waikiki beach. The free parking near the apartment was super helpful. I did like that the apartment had a kitchen was more or less roomy. decent size rooms and kitchen/living room.
For the negatives, I would agree with some previous reviews that the place definitely needs some updates. The curtains had questionable stains, there were lots of marks on the walls. The rooms were pretty old looking. The first room had a headboard that looked from the 70's and the chairs definitely need to be replaced. However for me the thing that I just could not deal with was the thick black mold on the shower head and handle. I kept noticing these black specks everywhere on the floor when i turned on the water. When I looked closer I noticed the shower head was CAKED in black thick mold. I was so grossed out it was all over the head and handle. I did bring it to managements attention and they sent someone the next day to clean the head but that really should have been done before. In short I would say please just spend a little money to update the apartment. A fresh coat of paint some new chairs, new shower head and curtain. It doesn't cost that much to change a curtain or showerhead. It would make the property soo much more desirable. Is it the best place i've stayed? No. Was it the worst? No.

While this wasn’t the cheapest option around, it was still a good value for us. Having parking nearby was a great plus, as was the two zone air conditioning.

Overall pleased with stay, but condo is much older than expected vs. the pictures shown on website. The cleanliness was initially very poor, but the property management group sent someone to clean. I would have rated higher if it would have been clean prior to arrival. Location is fantastic and easy walk to the beach and downtown. Strongly suggest updated pictures to better reflect actual appearance of the condo.

If you want to enjoy all that Waikiki has to offer without having to drive, this place is an EXCELLENT choice. We walked almost everywhere we went - restaurants, shopping, beaches, etc. It's mere steps off the "main drag" of Kalakaua Avenue but there's minimal street noise, etc. so when you're ready to relax and be quiet, you can. The beach is just a few minutes' walk away and there are lawn chairs, snorkels, and boogie boards at the condo so you can fully enjoy the famous Waikiki beach!
Check-in process was very easy and the condo was clean and 100% ready for us when we arrived. We had little need to interact with the property managers during our stay but when we did, their replies were prompt and thorough. The *only* negative (and this is really minor in the grand scheme of things) is that WiFi in the condo isn't great - my husband and I frequently had to use our phone hot spots instead - so be aware of this if you're planning a working vacation (or just like streaming movies, etc).
Overall VERY happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again if (when) we come back to Waikiki!

Vincent, the property manager, is so patient in answering all calls and text inquiries. I asked if there's an available non slid bath mat for my 78 year old Mom in law. He bought it and place in the property at once. The parking is in Fort de Russy, we park in the back where there is a small open gate where people can pass through.Then we walk towards the US post office, cross the street and walk in an alleyway to Hard Rock Cafe. Cross and ABC store is just beside the property. There's Ginza Bairin restaurant and walk a little bit and you will find the best shaved ice for us because of its proximity to Regency on Beachwalk. It's Lahaina Shaved Ice.Before check out, I gave the recyclables to the Lady in a room across the front desk and she was so appreciative of it.

We were looking for a condo that would sleep 8 people but also be close to everything in Waikiki and Regency on Beachwalk satisfied our requirements. The condo is close to the beach and the hustle of Waikiki. We appreciated the beautiful view from our large lanai. As well the unit had a lot of the items we needed when going to the beach. Plus there was free parking albeit it wasn’t onsite but close by. The unit was clean and it had a lot of supplies we needed. The unit can do some minor improvements including some damaged tiles.

I rented this property as our home base for my Mom's 70th birthday trip, as she's wanted to come to Hawaii forever.
The location could not have been better, everything we needed was walkable (ABC convenience store downstairs, a ton of restaurants nearby, etc.) and that made for a hugely positive impression. The parking was also convenient, about a 5-minute walk, and felt secure.
The host was friendly and easy to work with. That said, admittedly, we didn't share our concerns with him until we left, as we didn't want a disruption to our vacation or people in the unit while we were out.
I don't consider myself a clean freak at all, but the unit just felt dingy - a little bit unclean and a good bit old. There were marks on some of the cabinets and doors that could even be seen in the VRBO pictures, so the wear and tear is real.
Every time I went to open the balcony doors, I washed my hands because they felt sticky. We disinfected the pull on the bathroom door.
There were spots on the carpet of the rear bedroom that also felt sticky.
The balcony also felt dirty, but it's outside so I'll give you some leeway there.
No issues with the bathrooms or kitchen.
The furniture could stand an update, the leather couch felt uncomfortable particularly on the warmer days, while the floors looked and felt old.
It's a good property in a great location. With a deep clean, elbow grease and some new finishes, it would be as great as its location.

Everything was relatively fine. My only qualm was that the building scheduled floor renovations to the outside corridor area during our stay and we were not properly notified. It became a bit of an inconvenience when we were notified by the repair men that we would not be able to leave our rooms until the floors were dry 😑. I’d say this was just a minor communication break down between building/property manager and us.

This spot is hard to find initially, but once there it’s super convenient to everything Waikiki. The property management is quick to respond and help out too. Checking in and out is easy!
