The apartment is in the absolute perfect location, a stone's throw from the Palais des Papes, just inside the city walls ( which can be seen from the window and roof terrace), within the old city. Avignon is a beautiful city and a perfect base for exploring the local area on Provence. The fantastic view from the main bedroom window is of part of the palace - a lovely view to wake to. Very spacious apartment. Lovely and clean. Lots of character, nicely furnished and very homely and welcoming. Comfortable beds. Nice roof terrace which we made use of ( even in January!). Great host communication and handover of keys. We loved exploring the city, absorbing the history and visiting the surrounding area. The covered market Les Halles was a short stroll away for breakfast and the best coffee we had in France!
There was an issue with the AC unit in the main bedroom which meant we could not use it for heat for the duration of our 4 day stay in January. The issue was attempted to be rectified by the host, with a technician attending promptly on day 2 and attempting to fix the problem. The AC was not fixed on this visit ( which I had to wait in to facilitate) and a further visit was offered on our last afternoon, which we declined as we had managed with extra blankets, etc and did not wish to be inconvenienced by another long technician visit. Whilst the host certainly did attempt to rectify the situation, I do feel that they should have attended themselves to facilitate the technician, rather than ask me to do so. I also asked for an alternative heat source ( fan heater/ oil heater, etc) to be provided from day one and this was apparently not possible, which was disappointing. Apparently the technician was visiting the day of our departure, so this is, hopefully, not an ongoing issue. The rest of the apartment was lovely and warm. Also, there is a drain odour in the library - probably difficult to rectify - we didn't use the library anyway as it was a bit cool in there. Apart from these things, everything else was perfect.

my list is too long. fantastic location within Avignon. the view from the top bedroom must be the best in town! really charming flat and actually bigger than you think from the photos. Was perfect for our three generation family holiday. really flexible and supportive help during our stay. A/C in every room.
nothing. just book it now!

Awesome location and property, lots of room, clean, quiet, safe. The hostess was nice and available if we had questions. Would rent there again and would recommend to anyone.
The AC in the master bedroom is a bit noisy, it would wake us up sometimes as it makes a repetitive sound every now and then.

It is huge, and gorgeously decorated. Location excellent, once we found it.
Everything was fine. Parking a bit pricey at 16 Euros a day in the Palais des Papes lot.

Overall, this is a great apartment and would recommend to anyone.
1. Host - A+ - She met us at the apartment on arrival, helped to arrange taxi on departure, was available for questions.
2. Location - A+ - Quick and easy access to main area of town - only a 5-10 minute walk , and just far enough from noise of the main area.
3. Amenities - A+ - TV, kitchen, washing machine, working air conditioners, good wifi, lots of hot water for showers for family of 4, had a tiny elevator to help with luggage to the 3rd floor.
4. Charm - A+ - decorated with old style charm and very clean
This is more for awareness for future renters:
1. The beds were hard. Some people like hard beds, some like soft. We like the softer beds and the beds in the apartment were very firm. There were some extra blankets that you can put on the bed which helped a little, but still the beds are very firm.
2. There is a washing machine, but no clothes dryer. We found if you washed your clothes in the evening (washing machines seems to take up over 1 hour to wash), and put them on the clothes drying rack before going to bed, the clothes will be dry in the morning. So it worked out well. You just have to figure out a schedule that works for you.

The location was easy to get to just inside the wall. We went in two taxis, and one of the taxis dropped us right in front of the door, and the other didn't go inside the road but dropped them a few doors down because there was a gantry to go through. The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped if you like to cook.
The entire apartment though charming and full of personality, but a little lonely as we were the only people in the entire three-story old house. There should be more and brighter lights in the apartment and entryway. And also more light in the lobby as the lights go off as we waited for the tiny lift. The beds in the two rooms downstairs were not comfortable. The master bedroom upstairs (through a steep and noisy staircase) has a better bed with a great view, but the room was hot, doesn't have enough lighting, and had no toilet on that floor. We wanted to watch TV and have a little more sound in the apartment, but we couldn't connect to any station. Only one classical Mozart CD we played repeatedly.

Great location with parking adjacent. Very roomy and charming apartment. Great outdoor spaces. Some rooms could use better lighting. Is upstairs bathroom not working? Hard to share sleeping space with others when all have to use bath and w/c on main floor. Reduces quality of the space for four people. But overall a good value
In a great location.

The location was great - in the old town, very close to the famous bridge, with views of the Palais du Papes.
Irina, who met us, couldn't have been more helpful and even booked a cab for us for our return (and called to check that it had arrived).
The eclectic decor was beautiful.
The little terrace was lovely for a sunny evening.
The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch, as was the map.
One of the rooms was very hot (it wasn't possible to open the window properly) and had nowhere to put possessions, and one was up a very steep staircase - not so good for guests with any mobility issues.

The location next to Pont D'Avignon & Palais des Papes could not have been more convenient. The larder was well stocked and the aircon very welcome. A welcoming and helpful host and lift to the apartment the icing on the cake.
The only minor inconvenience is not being able to easily park outside to load/unload luggage. Although we were lucky that the barrier was broken, I am surprised the owners can't get an access key, as a similar property we stayed in at Lyon had! However, the covered Palais des Papes car park is only a short walk away.
