About this cottage rental
This cottage is set in the grounds of Priory Farmhouse: a beautiful grade 2 listed building in picturesque countryside just outside Arundel. The property is located close to Arundel train station and the centre of Arundel town is less than 10 minutes’ walk away.
There is a pretty terrace to sit and enjoy the West Sussex sunshine and private, secure parking for up to 2 cars. The kitchen is fully equipped and has seating for up to 4 guests.
The living room and bedroom are both on the first floor.
Well behaved dogs are allowed at a charge of £27.50 per dog for stays up to 7 days and £27.50 for each subsequent week but they must not be left unattended on the property. There are wonderful walks right from the door and guests will love the secure ‘doggy paddock’ that the owner has so dogs can run free outside under supervision.
Please note that we are in a good area for the internet with speedy 4G service so if you need to use your laptop you can run it off your smartphone but there is no wifi at the cottage.
Priory Farmhouse Annex is wonderful for people coming by train as it is just a 3 minute walk to the station. The cottage is a favourite with Goodwood guests because of the gated entrance and large drive which takes the worry out of parking vintage and precious cars.

The Hosts were lovely, the property was beautiful and well maintained. We had a most enjoyable stay, Annie and Phil were fascinating to chat to. Nothing was too much trouble. We absolutely recommend this property. Pollyanna was the icing on the cake such a lovely dog we were naughty and fed her mini sausages but we did tell Annie. They made our stay. It was delightful.

Really enjoyed our break. Met by a lovely couple who owns the property and live next door, all amenities in a lovely setting. Paddock for our dog to have a good run in. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Arundel has every thing on offer, you need a good few days here. The beach is sandy and only 10/15 mins drive.

The cottage was just what we were looking for, it was comfortable, clean and tidy, well-equipped and well-located for easy (walking) access to Arundel. As luck would have it, we arrived in Arundel at the start of their Art Week event, so we spent most of the week visiting the different studios and houses, enjoying the superb artwork of the many artists involved.

Staying outside Arundel
This is a difficult one to review. On the one hand, the owner was extremely helpful and friendly to me and my partner. The accommodation was clean and largely as described. The kitchen/diner was small but adequate and well-equipped, the lounge and bedroom were pleasant. The problem really was the noise from the Arundel by-pass, the A27, which was closer than I anticipated, and from upstairs bedroom you got the continual roar of traffic right through the night which contributed to some seriously sleepless nights. It was August, when traffic going west was at its heaviest, right through the night. I do think the picture of what looks like a wooded lane is mis-leading. I had somehow imagined that the accommodation might be behind the old priory and further from the road. As it is it is bang up against it, being to the side of the main property. I wouldn't call it a restful place from that perspective, and the picture gives the impression of a more sylvian surrounding than is the case. But as a cheerful base from which to explore the area, and if you weren't overly-sensitive to road noise, or holidayed at other times of the year, I'm sure it would be a good spot. You can walk in to Arundel on foot and mostly off road via the station, which is excellent.

Lovely 3 day break
Annie and Phil are excellent hosts, nothing too much trouble, good shower, comfy bed, the whole cottage was well equipped, we found it a good base for exploring Arundel and the surrounding South Downs countryside .. would definitely recommend.

Good base for exploring the area
Beautiful setting, and excellent links with both rail and road routes, being located next to the station and on the main A27. This did result in some traffic noise, which might be an issue outside in summer. The property was clean and comfortable, with adequate provision for our needs. The property description does state there is internet access but this is not the case. When we enquired about WiFi, we were told that we would need to use our own phone 4G signal and tether our laptop/tablet to this - an issue if you don’t have a smartphone or enough data, and not what we expected from the description.

A cosy nest
The owners treated us as valued guests, whilst the little cottage was a veritable haven and we felt it was mentally and emotionally therapeutic.

Marvellous setting
What a shame, we only got to enjoy 2 days at this lovely cottage- due to the prime ministers address to the nation- really beautiful surroundings and in walking distance of Arundel.
Bed really really comfy. Annie and Phil really friendly and helpful.
