First, the property is so unique...it is hard to believe that we got all 12 of us to fit so comfortably. Everything is old and new: all the charm of an old farmhouse with all the modern conveniences for everyone to be comfortable.
Brenda was fantastic, always promptly answering questions and providing information. When we couldn't get the modem to work, she went into overdrive and we finally located the problem (at our end, a simple fix!) and we had great service all weekend.
Check in and check out couldn't be easier.
The outdoor space was great for our people...we had such a great time sitting outside and enjoying the company and the views.
If you plan on eating in the house with a group, there is ample cookware and plates, etc. for everyone.
Really, we had a great time and the house and location and Brenda were an important part of our fun!
THANKS!

Dear Brenda, Although the pictures on line of the farmhouse are nice, they were even more warm and comforting like home. There was plenty of room for all and even with a group of 14, the house is roomy enough to find your own private spot. It was just what we needed for a comfortable and fun stay. We enjoyed the outdoor area for eating, playing or just socializing. Loved the fire pit, and of course, somemores were on the menu!! We also found the history of the Hart farmhouse so interesting. Thank you again, Ellen Chilabato

We greatly enjoyed fires in the chimney, well stocked blankets and the comfort of this lovely historic home.

We got to the property and it was infested with thousands of bugs. Mostly Japanese beetles. They were coming out of cracks in the walls and ceilings faster than we could kill them. We needed to find a different place to stay for the health and safety of our family. Definitely was not what we expected for our Berkshires vacation. Do not rent this property until this infestation has been properly treated

It was wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about the experience.

This is a great old farmhouse with awesome history! There was plenty of room for all of us (14)! There was also a great area for the children to play behind the house!!

This was the perfect place to hold our small family reunion. The house is beautiful and charming, with a new kitchen (well stocked!) and nice bathrooms. There were plenty of bedrooms to sleep 7 of us. It was a hot weekend near 90 degrees, but the house stayed very cool without fans or air conditioning. The large backyard was mostly in the shade in the afternoon. It’s outside of town, about a ten minute drive, but 5 Corners is near by for breakfast and lunch. This is also a historical home, and we learned a lot about the Hart family and all their accomplishments. If you like nice old houses with a lot of history, this is the place for you. Highly recommended (and there’s plenty of parking)!

The farmhouse was so unique! it has charm and history, we loved having big fires in the living room after a day skiing and there was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The basement was a kids playland, with ping pong and toys. As expected, quirky ceilings and a maze like lay out just added to the fun of staying for us. The showers were very nice, the beds comfortable, the only thing to know is you can hear noise throughout as it is an old home if you are a light sleeper. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Hope to stay again!
The house was amazing. The inside space was beautiful, clean, well stocked and so interesting. The outside space was exceptional. It had a huge deck a gorgeous yard, a fire pit, a volleyball net and various "toys" available to use. The hosts clearly thought of everything to provide an enjoable stay.

Let me live in a house by the side of the road...
Big old farmhouse was perfect for our group of 10. Good location close to Williamstown center, but remote enough to feel private and not overlooked by neighbors.
Kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more. Staircases were a bit steep and might be hard to navigate for some folks, but the bedrooms and full bath on first floor were easy to access. Lots of rooms to spread out inside and great outdoor spaces with deck, fire pit. Plenty of room to park several cars. Brenda was very responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location for a ski weekend at Jiminy Peak.
Nice old farmhouse with charm. This was a very reasonable property for a ski weekend in the Berkshires; it’s ideal for a good sized group. This is an old house, but it is maintained pretty well. Very good, relatively new bathrooms, kitchen with 2 refrigerators, washer & dryer; all in very good working on order. Keep in mind if it’s very cold, the heating system has a difficult time getting the 1st floor of the house very warm. But overall we had a great stay.
PS, there is delicious bakery a mile from the house that can’t be beat! The baked goods were out of this world.

Wonderful farmhouse in the Berkshires
A small group of family and friends stayed at the Hart House for the weekend. The house has so much character and is filled with antiques and family memorabilia which made us all feel very much at home. Route 7 is very close to the house and a little noisy at times, but the backyard is just heavenly. There is a huge deck overlooking the grassy backyard, a small stream and the meadow beyond. We were within a short driving distance to Mt Greylock, Williamstown and lots of little Berkshire towns. We very much enjoyed our hike through Sheep’s Hill and would recommend checking it out. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful stay in historic farmhouse!
This is an amazing place to stay and we had such a wonderful time! This historic farmhouse has been beautifully kept up (you can see the original support beams when playing ping pong in the basement!), the house has all the modern amenities you may need. We enjoyed learning about the family history and looking at the memorabilia and antiques around the house. We stayed here for Feb vacation week and loved having the expansive back yard to play in the snow - building forts and riding our snow tubes down the small hill (as well as snow tubing at Sheep's Hill a few minutes up the road). Located on Rt 7, its a quick run to the grocery store, and the many sites around Williamstown. We went show shoeing and hiking almost every morning, and enjoyed relaxing in front of a roaring fire all afternoon. Brenda and Crystal were both super helpful and responsive, and we highly recommend this for a family getaway! (kids are ages 4 and 8)

Foliage Weekend
The house is historic and very well kept, a rare combination. We enjoyed the special touch with lots of interesting antique furniture and household items. The location is quite central to the Berkshires, so it was a daily short drive to hikes and parks. We cooked everything at home, and had everything we could think of. The bathrooms re updated, the mattresses are very comfortable, and the linen and towels are new. All these made our stay especially pleasant. Thank you!

Old Farmhouse
This was a great property for our large group. My only worry was that one of my little grandchildren would break something, but we made it through!

A nice spot to get together with a slew of relatives for graduation weekend. Plenty of bedrooms, lots of outdoor space, a grill and lots of potential activities (ping pong, frisbee, badminton, etc.)

Thank you so very much for welcoming us into this home. We found everything we needed, from shelter to comfort to loving company. We lived in this home as if it was our own. Fantastic historic home!
I absolutely loved this house, full of history and family legacy all over the walls. It was a little warm in the rooms that didn't have AC, but there was AC in upstairs rooms so sleeping was comfortable. Beautiful yard and greenery and the house itself is in phenomenal shape!

A Great Place for a big group
The South Williamstown Farmhouse was great place for our mini-reunion. We were able to sleep 10 comfortably, most with their own room. It is in a great location with easy access to most attractions. I was a little dated, but that it what gives the farmhouse its charm.

Wonderful Antique Home
We rented this house for our wedding guests and it was absolutely perfect! Very pleased with the house and amenities. Beautiful backyard with a nice fire pit and chairs for night gatherings. House was very spacious, unique with lots of antique furniture and pieces giving it the perfect New England feel. Great kitchen with lots of kitchen supplies. Would recommend for large groups!

Truly a special place
We had such a wonderful weekend away. The beauty and character of your home provided the perfect fall escape.
We cooked a lot; appreciate how well stocked the kitchen was! Also enjoyed puzzles by the fireplace, and gathering round the outdoor fire pit.
Thanks again for sharing such a special place. Can't wait to return!

Fabulous house!!
This house is perfect for a weekend escape! We went on a girls trip and made full use out of the large kitchen and dining room table, living room fireplace and outdoor fire pit. It was a little chilly outside for exploring so we stayed close to the fires, took advantage of some of the puzzles and games in the house and got a kick out of all the rooms and staircases.
Hope to come back and explore more of the outdoors, it was so hard to leave this lovely home :)

Well located, roomy old farmhouse
We rented the house for a Thanksgiving family gathering, we were a group of 9 people.
The house is very old, we knew that from the beginning and didn't expect otherwise.
It has 6 rooms so our 2 grandchildren were happy to have their own bedroom.
It has only 2 bathrooms but luckily we didn't have an issue with that.
The owner was responsive and replied immediately when we needed something.
The location is good, on Route 7, a few miles from Williamstown. We went to the Clark Museum which we love. We also went to the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, about an hour, also worth visiting. While in Stockbridge we went to the Lee Outlets that are very close by.
We liked the area very much and definitely enjoyed our visit.

Fall family get together
We booked this from the UK for a family get together. The house has a long history with 1 family and this is very present in the house. It takes a short time to get used to this and we were very comfortable during our stay.
The kitchen is well equipped, the beds very comfortable. The wifi works very well and the TV access is excellent. We watched the tropical storm Sandy build up and we were in it's path. We lost a tree and the power for a most of the next day, so we consider we lived through a historic event.
We did seem to be sharing the house with a busy family of mice but hey it's the country.
Williamstown is as lovely as always and the Lansboro mall has good enough shopping.
Unfortunately Various places were closed for the season, we would have liked to go up Greylock and visit Hancock Shaker village. We did visit Mass MoCA for the first time and it was cool. North Adams seemed a bit more vibrant and arty which is nice as it is an interesting town.
