About this house rental

Cape style home with heated in ground pool located only a 4 minute walk to Sengekontacket Pond where you can kayak or paddle board for time on the water (2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards provided for your use).
The open floor plan with over-sized kitchen and dining table that seats 12 people which overlooks a sunken family room with big screen HDTV and fireplace make this an oasis for any size family. The fully finished basement with pool table, Foosball table, ping pong table and small den with TV and game station make this a great family hangout after dinner or diversion on a rainy day. The house is located only 1.9 miles to Main Street of Edgartown.

We were very comfortable in this beautiful home. The garden and property are very well maintained. The convenience of having a heated pool as a refreshing alternative to the beach was perfect for relaxation and enjoyment as was the pool table, ping pong table and Wii. It was also great for multiple guests to conduct remote work, with plenty of space for privacy. The proximity to downtown Edgartown and Oak Bluffs is indeed a huge advantage, allowing easy access to our favorite spots. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning next year!

Booked a last minute family trip and found this gem still available. It was perfect location to both get into town and escape the busy town scene. The kayaks, paddleboard, pool table, ping pong table kept our teen and adult children very happy! Dean and Kim are available to help and were very accommodating offering help before we even asked. The property is gorgeous and can accommodate a vast interest level of visitors!

We spent two weeks in this home and had a wonderful time. Dean is extremely responsive and the home is in a great location. I walked to downtown Edgartown often. It’s also only about a 10 mins drive from the Oak Bluffs harbor so we able to easily enjoy both locations. With the pool and the spaciousness of the home, it was perfect.

Beautiful spacious well-equipped home with lovely heated pool. Well located just outside downtown Edgartown and easy walk to pond. Caretaker was very responsive when one air conditioner failed. Perfect for our 3 generation family. Highly recommend!

My family had a wonderful vacation. The house was truly a perfect fit for our needs. It was nice and open and the owner had a great selection of kitchen tools for us to cook. We hope to return next summer!

We spend a wonderful week at the Farmer home in Edgartown. It is spacious with a built in pool and game room , giving this property plenty of space to spread out in . You can not go wrong renting this property. The pictures on line do not do it justice . Very updated with large spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Many thanks to Dean Farmer and his family for hosting us !

The house was great! It was perfect for our family and the kids loved, loved, loved the pool and the games in the basement. Communication was amazing with Dean and the location was very convenient.

We stayed the week at this property. We preferred this property because it had a pool and would allow us to limit our interactions with others during COVID. There was a slight problem with the pool but the owner quickly addressed the issue. Overall everyone was satisfied with the property and location. As stated previously, the usual supply of spices, toilet paper etc… are not available at this house. Stop at Costco or BJ and bring enough of those items before you arrive on the island. There is a huge.kitchen to accommodate and allow for a family gathering. Lastly, the house is definitely kid approved- they went from the pool to the game room throughout the week.

Deans property was a great place for our family. Tons of space for everyone to be together and play. The house is spacious and clean and the pool was amazing as well. Dean was easy to communicate with as well. We enjoyed our stay!

Place was perfect for our long weekend in Martha’s Vineyard- even on the rainy days they had a full game room to keep us all entertained! Pool was great and the house overall is a gem!

The Vineyard is a wonderful place to visit and great for family vacations. The property was perfect for our large group and the kitchen table was awesome for family meals. The pool was a must for us and the kids loved having it. They swam every chance they got, even in the rain :) We had a few kinks to work out during our trip but Dean was very responsive and took care of it. He was a very responsible property owner and did the right thing.

Perfect family vacation to celebrate my birthday. The house was perfect. Great big kitchen area to hang out in. The game room downstairs got plenty of use and the pool was perfect. Would definitely recommend this house. Easy access to all areas on the vineyard. Right on the bus route and bike path. We would rent this house again.

This home met all our needs. The kitchen was large enough for our group of eight. It was well stocked with everything we needed. We had delicious meals at the long kitchen table and in the evenings played many games on it. In the morning the teenage girls took their bikes to Dippin donuts to get coffee and muffins. The pool was a nice option when we didn’t want to go to the beach. The pool temperature was perfect. Our location was an easy bike ride into downtown Edgartown where we explored the many shops and ate in the wonderful restaurants. On the nights we stayed in we took advantage of the gas grill and competed in ping pong and fuse ball tournaments. Dean was extremely quick to respond with any questions we had as was the property manager Kevin. Hoping to book for next summer !

We LOVED the house. We had 5 teenage girls and 3 adults and we were all able to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The private pool was a wonderful feature and the openness of the kitchen can’t be beat!!One drawback: there were minimal supplies in the house when we arrived. We left a supply of garbage bags and dishwasher pods when we left so hopefully the next renter will find that a bit easier. In the past, when we have rented houses, there were basic supplies in stock upon arrival so this was just surprising to me. We truly appreciated Dean's excellent communication, and it was comforting to know the caretaker and family were next door in case we needed help.Thank you for a memorable vacation!

We rented the home for a group of 10 for a wedding. It worked out perfectly, as the house had everything we were looking. The pool was great and we made a ton of use of the pool floats, lounging around under the summer sun. Also, the outdoor shower was a hit. I don't think anyone showered inside all week! With our big group, the kitchen table was a great plus as we cooked/grilled multiple times over eating out and had nice, family style dinners. Plus, the basement provided a nice little retreat when the skies opened up - playing many competitive games of pool and ping pong throughout the weekend. The house is close enough to Edgartown that you can walk and we did it a few times for breakfast or coffee runs. The Stop & Shop isn't too far off either, though you may want a car for that. All in all, we had a great experience.

We had an amazing stay at Dean and Kim's place. The property is much larger than it seems in photos, amazing pool/grill/yard for entertaining. The downstairs game area is also awesome for a group or for kids. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated and perfect for our girls weekend. Kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels / extra sheets. Distance is a bit further from downtown or beaches but we knew this going in and Ubers/cabs were super easy so this was not a detractor at all for us. I really hope we can return someday. Thank you Dean & Kim!

We had a great time! The house offered something for everyone! Weather was great! The pool was awesome for a family with little ones who needed to leave the beach for naps! Game room and kayaks were a plus.

This was the perfect spot for my group of friends to relax during our stay on the vineyard. The house was well decorated and very clean. Next time, I'd ask that we receive detailed instructions for checking in/out ahead of time, but overall the house is gorgeous and the pool was very nice!

We highly recommend people check this beautiful home out. Huge kitchen/eating area and a great outdoor patio/pool area. The game room downstairs was a bonus. Plenty of space for everyone - such a comfortable house. Great location not far from State Beach and right around the corner from the Stop and Shop. 30 or so minute walk into downtown Edgartown which was a good way to avoid the usual traffic jams. We all hope to return there for another week very soon. Thank you Dean and Kim for sharing your great home with us.

Perfect for our large family! Great area for cooking and eating together. Also perfect for my mom who uses a walker. She could get around very well and the first floor bedroom with its own bathroom was great for her as well! Loved having the pool and a few used the paddle boards. The kayaks were not available as they had been stolen. Check with Dean about supplies for the house...we had to provide dish washing soap, garbage bags and the coffee maker is a Keurig. Those were very minor hiccups with an otherwise amazing house! We hope to go back someday!!!

We stayed at this home in September 2015 just after Labor Day. We had family over from Dublin celebrating their 30th Wedding Anniversary. Can I begin by saying that from the moment we turned the key and entered this beautiful home we never wanted to leave! It is truly an amazing home with all the high end appliances and decor, wonderful attention to detail, clean and very well maintained. The bedrooms were so comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all, we almost couldn't find each other. Great kitchen for dancing and eating, pool table, ping pong, swimming in the back yard, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding....you will not need to leave the home except to shop. (Stop and Shop 5 min drive down the road. There was also a bit of a high end shop with a starbuck's and fresh beef, chicken and fish, wine cheeses and breads , sorry i forget the name but it is just in the parking lot with the post office). We were blessed with the most beautiful weather, but either way i know we would have had a great time!! If you can get a week or more at this home you will be amazed and so happy you did!! It was wonderful and so easy working with Dean and his on-island property management team, attentive to all our needs! So sorry this review was so late!! We're still talking about it and getting back there!! Definitely get down to the Harbor View Hotel....sit on the huge deck with rocking chairs and enjoy the mouth watering cheese burger and a bloody mary...and beautiful lighthouse harbor view!! We had a great time in this Martha's Vineyard home. The dining room table was perfect for our large group at breakfast and dinner. The kitchen spacious enough for cooking and chatting. This home was perfect for activities; from the game room to the pool to the quick walk for a kayak or standup paddle board session. We had a great week and would definitely recommend it to all our friends. Make sure to rent bikes, it's a fun way to get to Edgartown center and State Street beach.

Great property. Kevin and his family were very accommodating and had thought of everything to make our stay easy and comfortable. Kitchen was new, pool was wonderful (and nicely heated when needed), two pool tables kept everyone busy after dinner, and there was plenty of room for everyone. There is even a private beach just a short walk down the hill. We would definitely stay again!
