Really enjoyed the lily pad lodge.
Really enjoyed the lily pad lodge. Wonderful location for taking the dogs to the coast and being out the way at the same time for some relaxation.
Beds were comfy, sofas were extremely comfy and the hot tub was the perfect temp.
A couple of negatives were that the dogs wasn’t allowed upstairs and the TV in the main lounge didn’t have Netflix which I would say is almost a necessity nowadays. There was an option for Netflix on the Blu ray player but would need a 20m Ethernet cable to connect.

Amazing place! Booked to go back in July!
A robe or bigger towels for hot tub would make this place perfect for us! (Only minor but worth noting)

We had a fantastic week at the cottage and our 2 french bulldogs loved the space and walks.
We had a fantastic week at the cottage and our 2 french bulldogs loved the space and walks.
The lodge is very spacious and everything is well thought out with no half measures . Everything is quality.
The log burner was great and with the underfloor heating you don’t really need it but it looks great to see the fire going with the dogs laid out in front.
We loved listening to the owls hooting at dusk and dawn.
There was a horse and a donkey in the paddock one morning when we were driving out to go to the coast. I pulled up and they both came running to us when I stopped the car to look. The horse stuck his head over the fence and through my open car window to say hello.
Ha. I got some good photos of that and we’ll frame one as a great memory of Lilypad.
You want for nothing here and this lodge is a credit to the owners,
Lisa and Tom.
We were left to enjoy our holiday in complete privacy and we’re going back in May next year.
We usually have 4 holidays in cottages each year but if we were just having one, this would be it.
The hot tub was great and in May the weather should be good to make the most of this together with the BBQ.
The garden is completely enclosed so the dogs can enjoy it with no chance of getting out unless they swim across the pond.
All in all, this was one of our favourites and we’ve stayed in some great places.
We’ve only been back a couple of days and can’t wait for next May to come around and go back for another fantastic holiday.

A comfortable and luxurious lodge which was well equipped and in a lovely setting.
A comfortable and luxurious lodge which was well equipped and in a lovely setting. The beds were very comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms to both bedrooms great. The snug was ideal for quiet time and a doze. The dogs enjoyed the walk from the cottage to the next village and were fascinated by the Moorhen chicks that trailed up the lawn from the pond. The hot tub was a relaxing end to the day.

Lily pad lodge really has everything you need for a fabulous holiday.
Lily pad lodge really has everything you need for a fabulous holiday. It also boasts the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in on holiday. Normally I always get terrible back ache by the end of the week but not this time! The hot tub was divine!
The only issue we had was the lake at the bottom of the garden. Obviously I knew it was going to be there but my rescue Lurcher discovered after a couple of days that if he walked through the lake he could take himself off for a walk! This meant we had to keep him on a lead in the garden, as there are sheep nearby, which was annoying. He is an odd dog though and our other dog wasn’t in the least bit interested in going off for a walk by herself! The lovely owners said they would extend the fencing further across the lake, so hopefully even escape artists will be confined in the future.

The lodge itself is in a beautiful spot and is very spacious.
The lodge itself is in a beautiful spot and is very spacious. The beds are not comfortable and could do with replacing the mattress or buying a very good mattress topper.
Other than that we loved it there but will sadly not be able to return due to the beds

Beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and lots of lovely countryside to explore. Even our 2 teenage boys were happy wifi and hot tub. The Ducks were a delight to sit and watch. Never too far to drive to see the sights. We visited Lincoln, Skegness, Boston and Cleethorpes.
The accommodation was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend this place.
