Sleeps 20 comfortably. 8 bedrooms, 4 kings, 4 queens, 1 bunk bed and 1 sleeper sofa, 3 living rooms, 3 dining rooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, 3 laundry rooms. Also a large pavilion with a outdoor kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a game room. Only 10 minutes from down town yet very secluded. There are 3 sections of the lodge. Each section can be rented separately according to your needs. Big Buck is the upstairs section sleeps 10. This house was wonderful for our group of 17 family members. The outdoor area with the tables and fire pit was perfect for our group. We watched football, played corn hole, and darts. It was the perfect setting to get outside and enjoy the weather. I would love to go back in the summer months and sit in the shallow pool out there as well. it was super clean and well stocked. So easy to book and to communicate with the host. We all loved it and will plan to go again soon.!

We had a family reunion, 13 adults, 7 kids under 9yrs old. What a wonderful facility. Plenty of space, the huge pavilion was much better than anticipated. Included bathrooms, a kitchen, a TV and many tables and chairs.The kids loved the wading pool. Adults loved cooking and eating out there in the evening, fans kept the air flowing. Jeff was easy to contact and deal with. Very friendly and accomodating. Parks nearby for hiking. We feel like we lucked out in finding GBL. Price was very reasonable.No hesitation recommending GBL for large groups. Thanks for having us, Jeff.

Our family of 12 stayed here for our annual vacation together and had a wonderful time. We rented the entire lodge, so had way more than enough room. The beds are comfortable and spacious, there were plenty of clean linens, and we had lots of space for visiting and gaming. The main kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, dishes, and tools (except that we had to steal garbage bags from one of the other kitchens). The pavilion area is wonderful. The kids enjoyed playing in the wading pool and running around outside. There is great hiking at Little River Canyon just 10 minutes away and we found nice restaurants, also very close. All in all, it was a great stay and we plan to return.

We were in town for a family funeral and were easily able to house friends and family in this amazing house. Jeff’s hospitality was fantastic! And the outdoor patio area was an amazing location for our family reception and reunion. If anything, the house is undersold on VRBO. This is a no-brainer!

This place was absolutely perfect for our getaway weekend with friends. It looks great online, but trust me it is even better in person! More than enough space for all 15 of us, and the six couples all had their own rooms. Tons of indoor and outdoor entertaining space. The outdoor pavilion is amazing, with a kitchen, bar, fire pit, and bathrooms that were just as clean and comfortable as the ones inside the house. We were AMAZED! The owner, Jeff, is very kind and hospitable. We felt totally comfortable knowing that he would be there if we needed anything and he was happy to see that we were having a great time at his property. You can tell he puts a lot of time and effort into the property and wants it to be enjoyed by whoever comes to stay. Will definitely be planning another trip here in the future!

We brought our staff up for a getaway and was greatly pleased with the accommodations! Plenty of room to spread out but also a great space for being all together. And the outside area is fantastic with plenty of seating & eating areas plus games to play. Great for a large families, gathering of friends, or small staff & spouse retreat. We will be booking again in the future!!

Our large friend group does a weekend at a cabin each year, and this year we decided to try Fort Payne and the Great Buck Lodge. Everything is exactly as described in the listing, and there is plenty of space for large groups. However, if you have small children or elderly people in your party, be advised that the top of the staircase to the main level of the lodge is not protected, and the landing is located in a high-traffic area by a hallway and the fridge in the main kitchen. We had a toddler in our group fall against the removable baby gate and roll all the way down the stairs. He was okay but the experience was traumatic, and we probably won’t be back while we have small children in our group.

I took a group of 7 ladies with me to stay at Great Buck Lodge for our annual “Budget Camp” - to be successful, we needed an abundance of space, strong and reliable wifi and a place to unwind - This fit every single need and more! Jeff was the perfect host, he was, quite literally, only a text away for anything we needed and checked in on us to make sure all of our needs were met. The home itself was incredible! We had plenty of space to work, relax, cook and socialize. The beds were so comfortable I slept better than I have in months, the bathrooms and kitchens both fully stocked and impeccably clean. The outdoor pavilion was truly breathtaking, especially at night! We built a fire the last night as the weather was perfect! I have rented many times before but this was, by FAR, the very best experience! And note - the photos do not do this place justice! It is absolutely gorgeous!! Very highly recommend!

Our group had a great time at the Great Buck Lodge over a long weekend. Honestly the in-person experience was better than the initial pictures presented. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the extras such as the on-site grills, fireplace, etc. Additionally, our group loved having an outdoor kitchen close to the grill for easy dinner prep, etc. Pleasantly surprised!

This was a wonderful house for several families to stay for a wedding in Mentone. Loads of real bedrooms and bathrooms for privacy. Large front yard for kids to play and great pavilion area for everyone to hang out and relax.

We had our small wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! The cleanliness was immaculate we had our family and friends stay here for the wedding and it was so spacious and accommodating for all of our needs. We had everything we needed for the wedding at arms reach here! Communication, check in, and check out was a breeze. No issues at all. The pictures really don't do this place justice! It was absolutely beautiful and it made my wedding day the most perfect day ever. We plan on coming here every year on our anniversary to celebrate and we can't wait to come back!

Our family (6 adults, 8 children) for our Christmas week rented this beautiful place. It allowed large enough space for us all to gather while allowing the 3 family units a private area as well. The kids loved the large yard and rode hours on their scooters up and down the drive. We all had a great time!
