About this cabin rental
This gorgeous cabin, nestled on the mountainside, was originally built using timbers from a 100 year old cotton mill reclaimed from a nearby town. It is Non-Smoking, Pet Free and located minutes from DeSoto State Park Country Store and about 5 miles from downtown Mentone. Be among the tree tops as you enjoy a soak in the sparkling hot tub. (The hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled with new water after each guest.) The kitchen and bathroom have been beautifully remodeled while maintaining much of the original cabinetry. Enjoy cooking in a fully equipped kitchen with sleek new stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Begin your day in a custom walk-in shower with natural slate tiles and river rock, a rain shower head, and frameless glass shower door surround. Cozy up next to a fire in the fire pit and admire the stars. Enjoy hiking, sightseeing, and exploring in nearby Historic Mentone, DeSoto State Park, DeSoto Falls, and Little River Canyon. Take in a round of golf at Cloudmont Ski & Golf Resort or go horseback riding through the trails in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. This area has so much to offer. All that is missing is you!!

This cabin was the perfect combination of rustic and modern. The kitchen was well stocked and appliances updated. It was nice to come back to the cabin after a day of visiting shops, enjoying outdoor activities and eating at the lovely local restaurants.

The cabin feels like a treehouse and is in an easily navigable location. It is fully stocked and the decor and atmosphere are refreshing and relaxing. The hot tub was enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this for a couple's getaway any time of year. :) The hosts were great and easy to communicate with.

We were on our honeymoon and the cabin could not have been more welcoming. We enjoyed the hot tub after a concert in Fort Payne. We actually called and asked if we could stay an extra day and we did! Just a nice place to let your worries go!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Secluded but yet accessible. As a neat freak, I really appreciate the cleanliness of this cabin. Thank you!!! The only thing I wish was available is washer and dryer but it wasn’t a big deal. The bedroom is upstairs or a loft style which is unique to us 😊 and the bathroom is downstairs. Perfect size for two people. Very quiet and peaceful. Very good, overall!

The cabin was a great little hideaway for the weekend. It was so clean and stocked well from the kitchen to the bath. The hot tub was wonderful. The owner was very helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.

We decided to have a quick getaway for Valentine’s and we knew right where we wanted to stay again. Laurel Ridge is the perfect place to stay for a short or long stay. It is extremely clean and has anything you would need. Nathan is great and responds quickly to you. You will feel like you are staying in your own tree house. It is in a great location for anything you would want to see and do in the area. Feels secluded but only a short drive to Ft Payne, Mentone, Desoto Falls and Little River Canyon. If looking for a great place to stay in the area look no further!

Convenient location minutes away from shops and restaurants in Mentone. The cabin is very cozy with updated appliances and a beautiful walk-in shower to compliment the clean and rustic feel.

We loved our stay. It was a wonderful little cabin to relax in. The host offered us numerous suggestions of places to eat and activities in the area.The hot tub was great. We also enjoyed the gas fireplace. I will say that the hot water in the shower was not as hot as my wife would have liked it, so maybe the water heater could be turned up slightly. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

So i read the book about people's stay and several mentioned the well stocked kitchen. Being a man, i was like whatever. After listening to my wife brief one of our daughters on how nice everything was, i realized it must be nice stuff. By the way, my wife came home and bought all new place settings lol. It is a very nice place.

The cabin had everything that you need. It is very neat, clean and updated. Great location to hiking trails and Mentone. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

This property was excellent. Great communication with the owner. Perfect little cabin- clean, cozy, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, awesome bathroom and shower, and very close to De Soto State Park- which was our destination for hiking. If ever in the area in the future, I would definitely stay here again.

The cabin is a well appointed space that is perfect for a couple's getaway. The kitchen has everything needed for serious meal prep. The bed is super comfortable. As the husband picking out a space for a surprise trip, a response from my wife when we walked in of "You did really good on this one" should explain everything.

We recently stayed here for two nights and we loved it! It is such a quaint fully renovated cabin! The decor was cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was cozy and the bathrobes were nice extras. The hot tub was warm and easy to use. It was just a great getaway. We drove to Mentone, which is absolutely adorable. We also visited Fort Payne. Both towns were right down the mountain. We totally recommend this cabin!

Best location for a private getaway in the mountains. Price was great. Cabin felt like home and had everything you could possibly need! Hot tub was perfect relaxation for just peace. Nathan was a great host and provided great food recommendation. Definitely will be back again!!

Look no further, this is the perfect cozy cabin to relax and recharge! The outdoor deck and beautiful view is perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails! It is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need and then some. Owner was very easy to work with and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. We loved our time here and will be back.
