Located near the canal and the center of the city, pet friendly, and very friendly!

The location is perfect and the staff are very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Parking is close to the property and can be reserved prior to arrival for a fair fee. For our reservation, breakfast was included and it was very delicious as well. Very pet friendly!

The air conditioner did not work in our room. Staff tried helping us to the best of her ability to get it to work and couldn’t. It was a cool night and we opened the large windows at night. Our only concern with for the air conditioner was our pet which tended to overheat. However, the stay was still comfortable.

Le séjour s'est bien passé gâce à l'accueil très chaleureux mais cet établissement est surestimé

nous avons apprécié l'accueil très chaleureux de tout le personnel (accueil/salle petit déjeuner/femmes de chambre)et l'emplacement

chambre petite et surtout très mal insonorisée avec vue sur les clims de l'hôtel ... on entendait les conversations des chambres à côté propreté ok mais ensemble défraichis toute petite piscine petit déjeuner copieux mais trop industriel Nous nous attendions à un rapport qualité en cohérence avec le prix de la chambre par ailleurs parking non inclus et très cher.

The staff were attentive and friendly. The location couldn't have been more ideal.

The breakfast on offer was small. The rooms were nice, but not well finished in places. The cost was high given the overall package.

Fabulous hotel in an amazing location

The welcome we received was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful and our room overlooking the canal and city was superb. Parking was excellent and much appreciated as we were travelling with a dog and were on a long road trip through Europe so to be able to park nearby and walk over to the hotel with the dog and our luggage was very welcome, even though the hotel is in the heart of the city.

Beautiful but not great.

The location is perfect, right in the middle of beautiful Bruges. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The spa / pool area with sauna is a pleasant oasis of relaxation. Cute, opulently styled interior from the 17th century.

Beds uncomfortable. Rooms on floors 2 and 3 seem cramped due to the shape of the gable end roof. The “shower” in one room was a bath with a shower head in it, at too low a level to have a shower. The last thing was the mosquitoes. Myself and my friend were bitten at least 10 times in 3 days. This is despite having all windows and doors closed. Unfortunately, as beautiful as it is, it’s not worth the money.

Overall we loved our stay and we may visit the same hotel again but will be choosey about the room.

The location was perfect, very central to everywhere and easy walking distance to all the nice restaurants.

The room was big but there seemed to be an annoying heavy weight 'flap' door for the bathroom which was inconvenient. The bed was really noisy and squeaky every time you moved to turn. The mattress springs were worn. Pillows were uncomfortable stuffed with cotton wool! Nice spacious room it just lacked the extra luxury I would expect. Staff were really lovely so was reluctant to complain.

Charming fairy hotel

Wow, very elegant stylish hotel. You feel like a king in this small luxiou rious hotel. Perfect location, some rooms have canal view, soft pillows, comfortable bed. Charming

I would stay here again!

EVERYTHING! This hotel was amazingly grand! we spent most of our time in the piano room so beautiful. we went around Christmas so the decorations were beautiful!!

Absolutely incredible stay. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

My wife I have travelled for many years and stayed in many places. We spent our 25 year anniversary at the Hotel Die Swaene and were more than impressed with everything. It was like stepping back in time followed up with a romantic setting. The staff treated us like Royalty. Very impressed and HIGHLY recommended. -Russ & Karin

Like a stay in a cosy stately home

Ornately decorated so it felt like a stately home, but didn't lack for cosiness. Friendly, helpful staff made us feel welcome. The swimming pool and sauna area were modern and clean and a pleasure to use. The lounge with an honesty bar was a great place to chill out too.

There were a few slap dash bits of paint and cheaper finishing in the bathroom and toilet, but pretty minor.

Splendid stay in quirky historical hotel

Fantastic location, right in the middle of the city - a very short walk to all the main sights meaning if you get up early you can see the Bruges hits basically crowd free. Room spacious and too a high standard. Stunning communal bar upstairs with lovely view over the canal. The staff were very helpful with suggestions and even let us know when we left something behind upon check out - they 100% went above and beyond. Swimming pool facilities was a great little bonus.

Location is a bit of a walk from the train and main bus station and there is no way of avoiding the crowded canal sides - if you have a lot of luggage, consider a taxi.

The lovely staff were so helpful in providing information. We used all of the guides and maps and found wonderful hidden gems during our stay in Bruuge! The area with the piano and drinks fridge was gorgeous. I loved the decor and the ambience. The pool facility was also amazing! I would definitely stay again next time I am in Bruuge!
