Nothing
We’re accommodating when tried to change due to exonerating circumstances

Clean and comfy with an amazing beer garden for the football
Buffet was really nice at the wedding
Tiny TV in the room, was probably a monitor
Staff mistakenly gave other guests our room a few hours after we checked in, luckily my wife was in reception and overheard the girl say our room number while handling over the key card.
Bar staff binned my wife's full drink when she went to the toilet, it was a wedding we were at and he assumed we had left but when my wife told him he admitted he had binned it and still didn't replace it
The hall was really really hot, granted we had an exceptionally hot day but the air con wasn't up to much and we weren't allowed to open the doors because it would bother the neighbours noise wise, not really the hotel's fault for that I suppose

Service was great. Caroline on reception was really helpful. We had a lovely Fathers day lunch in the restaurant.
We would have liked a mini bar in our room
4.3
staff were mostly friendly, the room was clean and good enough for the price.
The hotel was far too hot all over (several guests felt the same) and the winding staircase was a pain to manoeuvre luggage as were the swinging fire doors. The room used for the wedding venue was like an oven and the patio doors weren’t allowed to be opened making the temperature stifling and uncomfortable.

The location was great. Friendly staff all good.

Dinner and breakfast were great and very affordable

We have visited many times before and, as always, the welcome was very friendly. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed by the time we arrived but we were offered the option of ordering a takeaway and eating it in the cosy lounge which was a nice touch. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms which had a large, comfy bed and good facilities. Would recommend.

location, cleanliness, food, some of the staff, beer garden, value.
We went to check in 3 mins before the check in time and were told, the room wasn’t ready. The gentleman seemed upset for some reason. We were upgraded to another room but felt as if we had inconvenienced the gentleman at reception.
we asked to book a table but were told we would need to do it later as there was now a queue, again made to feel like an inconvenience.
we booked specifically the club room to be away from any functions, as the website clearly stated, if there was a function, it would be noisy, but ended up in the room above the function which went on until midnight and then clearing away until 2am, so we had no sleep.
We were not asked if we wanted to be moved or upgraded.
My son phoned reception to complain and was told we should have informed them I was disabled. I don’t have to inform anyone of my disability unless I expect special treatment, like a ground floor room or something. I did not want anything from anyone. my disability had nothing to do with the situation.
My son ended up having to complain to the restaurant manager because something else happened when we went to get a drink.
I will say that the manager was very quick to rectify the situation and assured us of his help when we came to dinner. He greeted us with martinis. I cannot drink but the gesture was very much appreciated. He continued to make sure we had a pleasant experience.
The meals were delicious and well priced.
The beer garden staff were very pleasant, especially one young man who actually was extremely attentive to everyone, even the children that I saw there. He was extremely efficient and worked quickly, while still taking time to talk to customers. valuable member of staff, certainly calmed us down after the incident in the bar and reception.
We enjoyed our evening and the exceptional facilities, but unfortunately did not get any sleep due to being moved into the main building which was not what I had booked.
I don’t know why they changed our room but it ruined our stay.
