Property: AMAZING location. Secluded so if you’re into the bigger scene this may not be the place for you. If you’re looking for something on the quieter side, this is the place.
Rooms: don’t look quite as luxurious as the photos online, but they’re really cool, unique, authentic structures.
Breakfast: I don’t know what some people had complained about. The breakfast was great. Fruit plate or bread, pastry, and egg dish of choice is included. If you want more they’ve got other great options for reasonable prices. The service at breakfast was sometimes slow but if you don’t have anywhere to be, enjoy the view.
Lunch: good menu, prices a little high? But has everything to do with the conversion rate.
View: can’t beat it. We stayed in an ocean view bungalow and loved it. Our other parties stayed in garden view rooms and one had a nice view of the sea from the second floor. But the property is awesome.
Staff: fantastic, helpful, friendly, great with kids.
Beach: while smaller than in the pictures because some of what’s in the photos isn’t actually their property, it was a great beach spot and they were actively building even more shade spots as we were there.
Dinner: menu was limited and given some of the incredible food you can get at other restaurants in Holbox, it was a bit disappointing especially since you’re isolated and will need to walk at least 10-15 mins or taxi to another place. But the servers and hostess were always great.
Loud music: as I saw in some other reviews, they do play loud music at the small beach area. It seems like they’re trying to entice people out walking the sandbar to come get drinks, but I wish they would embrace the location and tone it down to a more chill vibe.

Great location, comfortable bed and spacious room. Reception support for taxis request
There were 2 days with intermittently water flow, during room cleaning the glasses and coffee cups were not cleaned neither replaced, bikes need maintenance and should add them flashlight. The beach club & bar charged “extra items” I did not request, it was corrected at the moment it noticed it.

Las Nubes is a beautiful property and it's the very last building at the end of the developed part of the island. This is important because the town is dense, but as you travel further down the beachfront road things become more tranquil and charming. We were able to borrow bikes from the hotel and in 10 minutes we'd be in the center of town when needed.
The pools were great and the hotel is right on the beach. The grounds were well landscaped and there were resident iguanas that added to the charm. The staff was also super friendly and Erika at the front desk was able to book us tours in a seamless way that didn't distract from our free time.
When you step off the property your immediately on the beach. The water is less than a meter deep with sandbars for around 100m off the beach. The main sandbar is like a walking path in the surf that goes for miles. We saw small (friendly) rays and fish frequently, and when we walked about a mile we saw two flamingos.
This was a very special place and we would definitely stay here the next time we visit Holbox!

Very nice location
Nice restaurant
A lot of iguanas around and a raccoon very shine. We feel the comforts and the nature
Slippery stars for the see. They need to do something

With the property being in a quieter area, about 10 minutes by bike, from the town area, it was really peaceful and quiet. You really had the opportunity to enjoy the relaxed island life in Holbox. The staff were lovely. We loved how comfortable the sun beds were, it made you not want to leave the hotel area all day. It was convenient to the town so you got the best of both worlds. The room was huge, with everything you needed as well as nice extra bits like mesquite repellant, coffee and drinks. We would definitely stay again.
Everything was great

Our stay at las numbes was wonderful. Our breakfast was included. It was verity good. The beach is by far the best in the entire island. I stayed at Aldea Kuka in Feb n was not as beautiful as las nubes. Staff was excellent.

Location was awesome, just a short cab ride from town. Beautiful grounds.

location is great, in front of the sand bank, so it’s a privileged spot in Holbox
I’d appreciate it they had a gym

the location on the island is incredible. Away from the busier stretch of beach. felt like you had your own private beach. perfect for kids as the water is so shallow for a few hundred meters out to sea.
service was sometimes very slow. we’d wait for our kids food for nearly an hour sometimes. but I think that’s just island life!

Beach was pristine, beachside service was amazing, and views were gorgeous. Chef cooked up the fish we caught for us! Which was the best meal we had all week. Breakfasts were great.
Bed was a bit hard, couldn’t access the toilet and sink at same time due to door. Wifi was not usable in our room.

Good
Service a little slow. But that is by living in the tropics

The location of Las Nubes is ideal. They have a restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean, the layout of the resort is beautiful with various pools, and trees, and a dedicated beach with a restaurant and different places where you can relax and take advantage of the lush tropical setting. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable usually with an external patio with chairs and an hammock.
All rooms have a spacious bathroom with a big shower, a Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary coffee and bottled water replenished every day. Also a couple beers to get things started.
The property is 10 minutes away from the main centre of the island where there are all the stores and restaurants. if you choose to walk, it will be 20 minutes away. The property has bikes but they are not well-maintained. This made it difficult/impossible to take advantage of them as one got a flat tire which was not repaired for days. Staff did not really encourage or facilitate the use of the bikes even though they were advertised as part of the amenities offered and this was disappointing. It was the only disappointing thing, but an important one.

Beautiful beach front location. some staff members very very kind and nice.
the hotel rents out day passes to non- guests. as a result the hotel spots are taken by non-hotel guests (backpackers)
shower did not work, no hot water; we requested improvements 4 times, nothing happened. rude reception (and management) staff.
in case of an issue, reception suddenly cannot speak English anymore.
bed sheets had several yellow stains, when we asked to clean it, even with a big tip, staff reacted agitated.
we were charged too much on the final bill (when we asked about it, no one, including management, was willing to answer).
staff asks for tips continuously, and runs after you to request a tip (e.g. for included breakfast)
we expected much more from a 350;-dollar room.
they told us they were not willing to help as we booked through booking instead of a direct booking..

beautiful beach and large room
Lobby could be remodeled
2.0
The private beach is simp great and well positioned (last hotel of the island)
Service and food at the beach club was great
We must be very honest here and need to express our disappointment and lack of service regarding the hotel. We booked our room to end our trip in Mexico several months in advance with our two kids (4 yo and 6 months as stated during our reservation). Let’s stick to the facts, we booked a junior suite with garden view and got:
The farthest bedroom of the entire hotel that followed a specific path with broken rocks on the ground
All the bedrooms have large window to see some light but our given its location had only one small, tiny window and the bedroom very dark
What they call the garden view was a view on a wooden fence with a cemetery of kayak just behind
NO pressure at all to get water for the four people that we were. I totally understand a low pressure is possible in such place and we experienced it elsewhere in Mexico but this was something different. WE asked multiple time the reception to send someone and the one that came said it will be solve in 10 minutes but nothing
The smell in the room was very bad (moisture) and the person that brought us to the room said there was nothing …
The light outside was not working and no very nice when you have to cross the full property at night to get back to your “hidden” bedroom
Breakfast was tasting super good but service was awful (waited 1hour the first morning) as we asked multiple time to be served and there was always errors
To summarize this is not acceptable to pay so much and get this, to have no response from the reception except that the hotel was fully booked (which was not the case) and that Booking was wrong on what they confirmed we had booked. I am honest and admit that the experience must be totally different in other room but this one was a disaster. If you go there, make sure you do not get the room 29.

great location. lovely staff
there should be more comfortable seating eg sunbeds outside of the beach club.

The location is just perfect. Holbox is like be in a movie or a dream, I couldn't believe how beautiful it is, yep, it is just paradaise.
Staff was very friendly. Specially the manager of reception and Cuauhtemoc manager of food and drinks, I really appreciate all your attentions.
Some staff need a little bit more training and information about Holbox. I was trying to find information about a tour for the bioluminescent and they told me in reception they did not know anything and I need it to go downtown. Downtown is far far, I rented a Golf cart so it was ok but not ok, but if you do not rent a golf cart, taxis are expensive (500 or 700 pesos per trip), I asked if they knew some tour companies that maybe I can phone call, same answer: Go to downtown!. Finally the manager of reception came to save me and instead of going to downtown, I was able to enjoy that paradaise and go to the water, have a very nice margarita on some beach beds that He helped me to set up and also gave me the info I needed it. I am sorry I forgot your name, but thank you for everything.
Overall the location is really perfect, everything is clean, beds are comfortable, etc. If I go back to Holbox, I will only go back to Las Nubes.
Prices are a little bit high

Beautiful and super place to stay. A bit pricey at full price, but good value for money during low season. Fun to see the pelican Alf and tame raccoon Punto. Lovely staff that have a very friendly collegial way of behaving. Have been to Holbox many times and this time we thought we would splurge in some luxury. They did not disappoint.

Best location in Town
Charming setting

The location was perfect for us. The beach and access to the beach are far superior to any of the other locations. The entire property is well manicured with beautiful Mexican style architecture to match.
we cannot say anything negative about the property.

The little cabins and rooms are gorgeous. Very nice quality rooms
Location is remote, right at end of beach area, so away from all the noise.
Lovely beach and sandbar in front. Beautiful blue water.
Great beach club with nice snacks. Lots of space, but fills up fast with people on day passes.
The restaurant has great food and the service is great, if a bit slow... Mexican style.
Included breakfast was huge and delicious.
We had a problem with our beach hut during our stay and the hotel found us a solution very quickly.
Coffee provided in rooms is delicious!!
Being so close to the mangrove area, there were lots of bugs around sunset, but the hotel provides a citronella bug cream, which is great!
9.0
Very quite and cozy hotel. Far from the center, so perfect if you are looking for few quite days to rest from the city.
a lot of plaices to sit on the territory.
wifi was disappearing all the time. TV does. it work without wifi.
There are almost no vegetarian options in the restaurants (except few salads)
9.0
We felt very lucky to have picked Las Nubes on our arrival! We were immediately impressed with the staff’s professionalism and the attention to detail in the design and cleanliness of the hotel, but the most impressive is the location, right on the sandbar.
One thing that makes this hotel so special is that it is far from the crowds at town center, but we did end up taking taxis 2-4 times a day to go into town for dinner/activities (would have eaten dinner at hotel more, but no vegetarian main courses)
The beach club is beautiful, but we we’re disappointed to not be able to find chairs by the beach the first 2 days because non-guests are able to use the beach club too! It was less of an issue on weekdays.
10.0
it is located in a privileged part of the island, everything is calm and beautiful. The hotel and beach club are nice.
the only thing that I disliked was that the tv never worked. Every night we got back and turned on the tv, it said that the signal was low.
8.0
Really nice location if you like it quiet and with beautiful sunset and beaches. A 20 min walk or a short taxi ride from the centre. The beach is really kids friendly.
We booked a room with garden view - unfortunately our room was hidden at the end of the hotel with no view at all. Beside that out stay was great.
Way too loud music at their beach bar making it impossible to enjoy the nature.
9.0
The grounds of the property are very lush and private. The property itself is on one of the prettiest parts of the island. Thee adults only pool was only a few steps from our room. Close enough for convenience but never noisy or disruptive. The staff was super helpful and friendly.
The food could have been better, but there are plenty of other options on the island. That said, the breakfast that was included came with several options and was very filling.
