A nice, comfortable stay with very lovely staff. You need to scooter or taxi from the location, but there’s a store next

We really enjoyed staying at Alcove. Everyone there was super nice. As a bonus there was a possibility to refill water bottles, hammock and mosquito net. They also helped us to arrange a trip to Ang Thong.

great location and people! very well-equipped and with love decorated bungalows in the middle of a little jungle. the property offers things like SUP, snorkeling accessories and drinking water absolutely for free. great value!

Great accommodation for top level restaurant & hospitality experience.

The room was spacious and with nice touches of decoration. Considering the prices and the generally low quality of accommodation on the island, the Alcove is an excellent choice. But what struck us completely was the restaurant right across the street and the friendliness of the owners & the staff. The restaurant is not only absolutely charming located on the beach, but also servers exquisite food and hosts high level musicians & artists that create the ambiance. The owners and the staff are helpful and personal. What can I say - It's a top level hospitality, especially the restaurant experience.

In the evening the restaurant can be a little noisy for the room, however, they stop at 11 pm, so actually we didn't feel bothered.

Lovely and cosy stay!

One of the best stays I had in the island. Somehow felt like at home right away! I liked the small little touches and details to make the stay more comfortable. For example they had a nice map about the island - where to go / what to see. It was really helpful and saved me time to do my own research.

The loud music from the restaurant reached the room so if you want to get to bed early and are sensitive to noices, then just be aware of that. I think that the music stops around 12 so wouldn’t be a problem if you are staying up late anyway.

Perfect location to stay a few days exploring this beautiful side of the island

this property is in the perfect location in Koh Phangan in our opinion. the restaurant of the accommodation is the perfect sunset spot with incredible views and food ( we ate their twice ). you can rent a scooter just next door and there are amazing places for healthy brunches and breakfasts all around and an amazing yoga studio 2 doors down. this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful side of Koh Phangan. the owners are also very attentive with lots of attention to detail - the rooms are lovely, with information on the area provided.

there was some (good) music playing until midnight so just something to bear in mind in case you go to bed early

Really nice location, amazing restaurants nearby, especially L Alcove restaurant. A closest nice beach for us was the Secret beach, 12 mins by bike. Room was good, lots of light sources, so you can create the ambience you want. Also liked a wide king size bed. Attention to details and friendly staff.

Would not stay again

Cute place and loved the outdoor furniture. Great for relaxing and listening to music or reading. It was not a swimming beach but they did provide paddle boards which was cool.

I felt the room did not have enough power points to charge electronics and my multibox in the room was broken. There was no safe but a daily clean, they said the cleaning lady was trustworthy which was so true but it still made me uncomfortable. The bed was the worst, I could feel the springs and the bass from the restaurant across the road was loud, I has to sleep with earplugs in every night.

First class stay in Koh Phangan

We had an incredible stay at Alcove Bungalow! The setting, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, cleanliness of the room and lovable on site doggy friends made it a top class stay! Extremely good value for money, we would highly recommend to others. Merci beaucoup Alcove for making our stay such a memorable one! ⭐️

Loved my stay and kept extending for more nights.

Loved my stay at Alcove. Everything was nice and clean. would definitely go back. The bungalows are very close to the beach and many nice restaurants and bars. I also loved that it was next door to an amazing yoga studio and every morning and afternoon I went for yoga classes. There is also a very nice restaurant/bar belonging to the same property and the vibes were great.

Beautiful bungalow with a special atmosphere

Beautiful bungalow very close to the beach. The bungalow was perfect, with all the necessities, very clean and beautiful furnitures! We actually had a problem with our AC, but the owner were very quick at answering and trying to fix the issue, we even received a refund for the inconvenience. Highly appreciated and this shows how much they care for their guests! You must also try their restaurant, a gem of the island! highly recommended!

Superb

Kind staff, AC and frigo worked, clean apartments, and the coolest&biggest gecko were staying under our roof :) Water refilling at reception was just superb especially next to the jungle :) Water pressure was great, paddle board and snorkeling gear can be borrowed at reception (another great point!)

AC could have been a bit more quiet but that is the only thing to mention

Come!!!!

Top of the comment for the staff who are amazing. The rooms are spacious and very cozy, with many little ambience lights all over it. The place is really nice, it makes you feel you're almost in the jungle while you're right by the beach! I was already happy enough when I got to the restaurant, found a really nice live music show and an absolutely wonderful food... Not expected at all, they really made my day!!!! Very grateful!!!

Fabulous

Warm welcome, personal and the place just has a little extra touch which generally is missing in a lot of resorts. The bungalows have been upgraded with love and care, clearly visible.

Brilliant bungalow and lovely staff - much recommended!

We spent a brilliant week at Alcove. The staff were all super friendly, the room was nice and spottlessly clean, and we loved the balcony looking out to the garden (especially the comfy hammock!). The Alcove restaurant is also fantastic, plus there are many other places around (walking distance). Would definitely stay here again!

A little slice of heaven on Koh Phangan

Lovely bungalows in an idyllic setting just off the beach, with a wonderful restaurant opposite with entertainment, wine and live music. I found the bungalows super luxurious, beautiful decor, lovely touches like a waterfall shower and lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner, all the things are there to make your stay very comfortable - even little things like insect repellant outside on the porch and lots of hangers in the room. I spent a lot of time relaxing in my hammock with their very friendly cat, waiting for the rain to pass. Generally, a wonderful place to stay, and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming - they went out of their way to check-in and invite me to see the live music, which as a solo traveller I really appreciated!

Good stay!

All in all, a really pleasant surprise!! Very good value for money. Very friendly staff and happy to accommodate our few requests. Close to the main road but calm and peaceful in the bungalows and on the balcony, location is great for food and amenities. Very nice garden full of birds and butterflies. Some very friendly local dogs and cats to greet you 🙂 We visited the restaurant on a previous visit which is also nice.

Needs one more bright light inside the room to read at night time. Shower a little weak but still usable.

Great bungalows

The bungalow was lovely. It’s the extra touches that make the place stand out. The fairy lights in the room, free water refills, mosquito curls etc. Would definitely recommend.

I decided to stay a few extra days on the island but had to relocate. Luckily this place was nearby and had one room remaining. What a pleasant surprise. It’s very chill, and super charming, with a wonderful, helpful staff. The hotel’s restaurant is probably the most beautiful in Phangan.
