About this house rental

If you are looking for the serenity of a place to relax, this apartment is for you. Strategically located inside Orvieto's wall. You can get to the house by car to unload luggage, and then park in a convenient parking lot near by (no extra charge).

The Apartment Terrazza Paradiso (Paradise Terrace) was published on this site by another manager from 2015 to May 2019. The last years we decided not to rend the house because of the Covid-19 pandemia. For this reason there are just a few reviews on this site at the moment, but copies of previous customer reviews can be sent on request.
The Apartment Paradiso is a spacious two storey independent house, situated on a picturesque, cobbled side street, a short amble from Orvieto wonderful cathedral. The owners Roberto and Rosalba await to give you a truly Italian welcome, and assure you that all anti-covid security protocols will respected for your safety.

Since you open the door and step into this beautiful house you will fall in love. The elegant marble staircase leads you to a light, spacious accommodation (around 900 sq feet), laid out over two floors, right in the heart of historic Orvieto.

Located in a 16th century building this first and second floor apartment has been decorated with attention to detail and comfort. Carefully selected antiques fill the rooms, colorful art hangs on the walls, precious fabrics enrich the elegant rooms, flowers cascade from terra-cotta planters on the well furnished roof terrace. In short, everything recalls the atmosphere of a "real home" which welcomes and makes you feel immediately "at home"!

Inside this elegant and well-furnished apartment you will find a large open-space living room with parquet floors, comfortable sofas, an antique dark wood sideboard, an elegant round dining table with seating for up to six and a kitchen well equipped with every tool to prepare meals.
For your entertainment in the lounge there is a TV that offers a variety of channels (some English-speaking channels), a radio system to listen to music and WiFi Internet access.

On the second floor there are two spacious and tastefully furnished double bedrooms, each with large King sized beds, beautiful antique sconces, heavy curtains in fine fabrics, terracotta floors and large ceiling fans to cool you during the summer months.
The bathroom is spotless, decorated in pale blues tiles and furniture and soft luxurious towels welcome you to the shower. The apartment has gas central heating for comfort in the colder months. A cot is available upon advance request.

From the second floor you can reach the magnificent terrace on the rooftops of Orvieto, which extends the living space to the outdoors. You will experience a piece of paradise, between colorful flowers and small trees in terracotta pots. The perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the beautifully furnished outdoor dining terrace and seating area ensure our guests can enjoy the wonderful and unique Umbrian light and balmy summer evenings. Spring, early summer and autumn are exceptionally lovely in Umbria and so this terraced garden can be enjoyed throughout the seasons. Two comfortable sofas and armchairs, a lava stone table, wrought iron chairs, sun loungers, pillows and a large umbrella furnish the terrace. Everything about this paradisiacal terrace appeals to the senses: the fragrance of cascading flowers, the waft of hilltop breezes while sunbathing on a comfortable sun lounger... The terrace is equipped with lighting, so it can also be enjoyed at night.
This is the best spot for relaxing, reading a book, sipping a glass of wine or spending a romantic evening under the stars!

Our stay in this truly lovely Orvieto apartment was perfect! Immaculately clean, furnished with loving care, fully equipped kitchen and the most beautiful garden terrace. We spent every morning with coffee, and quiet evenings enjoying the local wine and watching the sunsets. This place was very comfortable after our days outings. We were pleasantly surprised to have visited during the Pentecost, many wonderful festival activities to celebrate this special time. Rosalba, our host, was so kind and thoughtful. Accommodating us royally. We are very fortunate to have met her. Thank you, Rosalba, for a most memorable time in your beautiful home.

Terrazza Paradiso was perfect. So close to restaurants and shops but away from the main tourist streets. Our host Rosalba was great - helpful and available without being intrusive. Apartment was clean and well equipped with very comfortable beds. Sofas not so comfortable! Spent 2 weeks there with different family members, terrace great for sitting and socialising.

Wonderful property. Well appointed and Rosalba had thought of everything! Even facial tissue and wash cloths. Beautiful apartment. Only difficulty was very busy and loud traffic just under the bedroom windows. We still had a great stay and loved the apartment.

We just stayed in Terrazza Paradiso for a week and it was a fabulous experience. Rosalba was so easy to communicate with and was a very gracious hostess. She arranged our lunch tour & drove us to & from a wonderful winery. The house is immaculate & so well stocked with everything you needed & The beds were very comfortable. The Terrace is So Wonderful, with gorgeous flowers, a lemon tree , comfy furniture & a huge umbrella to shade you from that beautiful Umbrian sun while sipping your morning cappuccino! If you like history Walking & exploring Orvieto was like being on a movie set. Only a few minutes walk to great restaurants,The Duomo & other museums. We can’t wait to come back.

Tarrrazzo paradiso is well named. It’s small but very efficient. Beautifully appointed, excellent roof terrace and comfortable bedrooms. The owner, Rosalba, is friendly, helpful, available but discreet. She made our stay very successful. And Orvieto is an amazing place - full of history, great food and amazing views out to the Umbri hills. We strongly recommend this town and this apartment.

Without a doubt, this was the best online booking we have ever made. I’m not sure that the photos sufficiently conveyed the beauty of this property. In addition, it was well maintained and in a perfect location. Rosalba was very attentive and available to help us with anything. The prepared welcome book outlined everything we needed to make the most of our stay in Orvieto. I’m sure we will be back!

The house was very comfortable and cozy. Rosalba and her husband, Roberta, had a beautiful bouquet of red tulips waiting for us with a sweet anniversay card, since this trip was delayed 3 yrs. by covid. We got lost getting to the house, and she came and got us. She also led us out when we left. The home is elegant with beautiful art & many things to make you feel at home. The terrace is beautiful, although, due to rain, we could only use it once or twice. I can't say enough about this place or Rosalba. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!

The home is beautiful! It looks and feels like a real home. Rosalba has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable and the outside terrace is delightful to sit and read or visit with family over a glass of wine! The location is within 5-10 minutes walking distance from shopping, restaurants, bars and the famous sites to tour. It is by far the best place “home away from home” we have ever stayed. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

Our hostess, Rosalba was outstanding. On several occasions, she assisted us with navigating the nuisances of Italian technology and transportation. We are VRBO users many times over but have not experienced such a kind and attentive host,,, 10 out of 10 for this VRBO property. The apartment was very comfortable and stocked with all the essentials needed for a short or long stay. It is located close to restaurants, shopping, transportation and all that Orvieto had to offer making getting around without a vehicle convenient. But the icing on the cake was the fantastic private terrace with its abundance of blossoms and greenery.. Such a lovely place to return to after several busy but pleasant train excursions throughout Italy.

Beautiful house in the old town of Orvieto, all rooms decorated with taste and attention to detail. Very well equipped and the owners are really helpful and friendly. The roof terrace is great. We stayed 9 days and enjoyed it very much.

We enjoyed our stay at Terrazzo Paradiso! The rooftop was definitely our favorite part of the apartment, and it is well furnished with a large umbrella. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. As stated, the apartment is not air conditioned, but there are ceiling fans, and the house stays pretty cool, even in 90 degree heat (32 C). Everything was very clean, and checking in was a breeze, there are clear instructions for everything. There were no cabs at the train station, so we took the bus (funicular was out of service) up the hill and walked through town to the flat. It was a bit of an uphill walk with suitcases in the heat, so, for convenience, I would advise either calling a cab at the station or taking another city bus once you get into town.

The communication ahead of time was helpful, especially the host provided guidance for local taxi. I have stayed in Orvieto before and knew we needed a taxi from the train. The host met us, provided a tour of the property, a very nice book of instructions about washer etc., restaurants and more. The apartment was especially clean, amenities as advertised and the rooftop patio was well-appointed, the host clearly has a green thumb. The rooms were spacious, beds comfy and easy walking to main area of town. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay in this beatuful apartment. We arrived by car and realized that it's very easy to reach the place, where you can drop the luggage. Then we put our car in the parking (included). The apartment is cosy and spacious for 4 people, in a great location, close to everything but very quiet. The apartment has everything for a short or longer stay. You can easily cook, eat, do laundry, etc., if you need to. The apartment has a beautiful terrace. I wish we stayed in the apartment in a warmer season to fully enjoy it. Rosalba is a great host. Our communication was flawless, before arriving and during our stay. She met us at the building entrance and helped to get in. Higly recommended.
